Ristorante Bar La Favorita

Very bad experience. I went with the ciaoflorence tour. The guides trick you into buying lunch (they tell you that this is typical. The guides who accompanied me were Lucia and Gabriel). I am not going to put anything more than what I have read in other reviews from clients who have had the same experience as me.

We’re on the terrace and there’s a table with several olive oil bottles and a basket full of small pieces of bread. I go up to that table and ask if they can give me a piece of bread because they’ve served us cold cuts… A girl with glasses and curly hair tells me no, without any explanation. I find it shameful that a customer is denied a piece of bread in a restaurant… No one should be denied bread; if I had to pay for it, she could’ve told me, but a plain “no” just seems disrespectful to me.

Not the best food, eatable but if you have any other option I would recommend to pick something else. Tasteless pizzas, carbonara with so much pepper that you couldn’t taste anything else, shrimps were actually good but served with gnocchi in pure oil as sauce weren’t the best choice. Very touristic atmosphere, didn’t feel welcome at all. Also it’s very loud

Was told if you didn’t order full meal you cannot seat inside the restaurant. Even though, I have alr pre-booked a meal set. To make things worst, the pasta is not even edible. Not even cooked! So hard. And tasteless. Like literally no taste. At all.. how can this be. Pasta in Italy is as such? 🤮🤢

Aperitivo buffet for €10 was a great deal, good variety of foods and comes with a drink (I chose aperol spritz). Walked in with no idea what to expect and left very satisfied

Was there with the Toscana bus tour. Great food, absolutely great portion sizes, more or less reasonable prices, working AC. Rare restaurant in Italy checks all these boxes.

So we were walking towards Siena Cathedral when we saw their €5 drink and appertivo offer. Since we had two under 18, first we asked if they could order anything non-alcoholic and get the offer. And it was a yes!! We spent the next hour there with our drinks (mine was pina colada) and eating from a fantastic buffet that had finger sandwiches, pizza, pasta, rice salad, fries, peanuts and what not!! We all had a blast. It was crowdy, sitting areas were also available outside but not in the beautiful tent which was for those having dinner. All items in buffet was good, and was changing rapidly. Best €5 spent.

Not a bad place to eat, but not my favorite for pizza. I've had better elsewhere. There was too much moisture in the cheese and the crust got limp.

Yelp
We got the chef calzone which included walnuts, ham, mozzarella, pesto, and pecorino cheese. It was ginormous I took a photo of it with my hand next to it so you can get the idea of the size. We still got the margarita pizza which was a decent size plenty for two people but the inside of the pizza was too watery. The dough on the pizza and the calzone was superb. Service was a bit slow, and the pizza would have been fabulous had it have not been watery?

Yelp
I've been coming here for years, since Giovanni Carli took this place in his hands. The restaurant/bar/lounge is fantastically managed, with high quality food and drinks, and very efficient staff. You can enjoy a beyond generous aperitivo, the best gelato in the world, or a complete dinner in their 3-seasons gazebo, outside under the stars, or downstairs. Either way, you know you'll have a great meal. Appetizers are delicious, primi piatti very tasty and secondi piatti super inventive. You'll enjoy your meal, here, whether you are a traditionalist or are looking for something more modern. They organize theme evenings, too, so stay tuned for special events. I can't recommend this place more.

Yelp
GET THE GELATO!!! It is amazing and cheap. Highly recommend the pistachio (the one with a hard layer of Pistachio/white chocolate on top), lemon and the cherry flavours

Yelp
Simple espresso and wine. Tables were dirty. Had a glass of Pinot Grigio which was pretty good.

Yelp
The pizza was decent but the service was terrible. We waited for our drinks which half didn't come and some weren't right. Then the food came which was decent. From start to finish the waiters were rude and inattentive. Not worth the cheapness.

Yelp
La Favorita is a great place to eat in Siena! They have a wide variety of food so it is perfect for anyone. The wait staff is very nice and so friendly! I will definitely be coming back while I am in Siena. The Cacio e Pepe is delicious, as is the salmon.
