Ristorante Casa Celestino - Ristorante Sant’Angelo Ischia

Easily one of the top two meals in Sant' Angelo! With a gorgeous setting and comfortable seating, divine service and unique dishes, it is a great experience. The menu is not extensive but has delightful and innovative versions of the local dishes. They are served professionally and with pride. Their care of the diner is obvious, with great attention, constantly fresh utensils, friendly discussion of menu choices and just enough check-ins. Be prepared to try to understand a little Italian as this is an "authentic"experience! But don't worry, it will be fine. We loved this experience. We would rush back there in a second!

Amazing place, great service, sadly the most important part for us was the food and it was not good enough! We had a seafood platter which cost 36€. On this platter we had 1 oyster, 1 prawn, a tuna tartare with no taste or seasoning, some mango droplets on the plate that could've just been beige coloured water drops, a tasty carpaccio and fish bathing in olive oil. The presentation was quite beautiful, but for 36€, you'd hope to eat something which fills you up and tastes great! The service was truly great though and the wine was well recommended! Also, the oyster was clearly not alive as it didn't react to touch or acidity!

Extremely slow service, so beware. Amazing views, great ambience but high prices. They made us wait legit 20 minutes before they came to take our order. We got their tuna tartare and it was delicious, definitely smaller than usual portion tho. Cod confit was yummy, however, involtino, which is the fried fish, was disappointing. There is even live music after 9:00 pm which was cool. Overall good experience.

A birthday I will never forget. Being from London, I assumed that I simply did not like seafood. As it happens, I have never had true seafood in my life until I came here. What a special restaurant. An absolutely stunning view of the sunset over the oceans and two edges of the island, beautiful decorations in the restaurant and incredibly friendly staff who all spoke perfect english. The food was absoultely stunning and they even did a special birthday message for me. Getting to and from the restaurant is also very easy, with a huge parking lot nearby for about €2 an hour, followed by a beautiful walk along the mountain with shops and cafes around. I doubt I will ever go to a restaurant as beautiful as this for the rest of my life, certainly a once in a lifetime experience! Worth every penny. Do not miss out!

Beautiful view, set in the cliff, lovely food and very friendly staff! I had the steak tartar which was great and the fish “confit” which which just delicious, unique and beautiful, I highly recommend it! I also had some oysters which were lovely but were €7 each (French , Italian and sustainable, always comes at a price) I didn’t have a reservation but went at 7.30 and was able to get a table. I think it’s the best time to go because you get to watch the sunset. Thank you!!!

Since reading the reviews on here I see we're not alone with the bad service we received. I think a lot of people agree with the spectacular location but the rest of the experience was lacking. The place was empty but it still took over 40 minutes to get our meals ( a simple pasta dish), our wine never arrived but it was still on our bill at the end and the waiting staff were quite rude and abrupt when we complained. It is a shame because the food I had was quite good and the location and views are excellent. The cover charge was 4 euros per person which I felt was steep because there was no bread given and the level of service was the worst I have had in Italy.

Absolutely not recommended! I've never experienced such terrible service before—just awful. I ordered a calamari dish, and it took over 45 minutes to arrive. When it finally did, they brought me tuna instead. When I questioned it, they first tried to convince me it was the right dish, then admitted they had changed it without asking because they ran out of calamari. I asked for bread (which hadn't been brought before) since I couldn't wait for them to make a new dish. In the end, they charged nearly 10 euros for the service, claiming it was because they 'gave us bread and napkins.' I tried to complain because the service was so bad, and I didn't think it was fair to pay for it, but the waiter got upset and was rude in response. It was a complete waste of time, money, and peace of mind.

GREAT restaurant, especially for a romantic meal. Gorgeous view of the bay with breeze & the food was incredible!! Photo is of paccheri all'astice (lobster) and raviolone with shrimp & sea bass. Also highly recommend the secondo of fried calamari & gamberi (shrimps) -- it's served with two aioli sauces, lime garlic & a spicey one 🤤💯
