"For a gourmet dinner, the right place is Charleston, a historic restaurant run by Chef Gaetano Verde, a promising young chef under 30. Established in 1967, it became the first restaurant in Sicily to earn a Michelin star and has hosted illustrious guests, including Prince Tomasi di Lampedusa (author of "The Leopard"), singer Maria Callas, and actors like Marcello Mastroianni and Al Pacino." - Laura Itzkowitz

If I could give this establishment 10 stars I would. From the minute we walked in we was treating like royalty. The food itself was out of this world and the knowledge from the sommelier was impeccable. We chose the 10 course tasting (which they make up on the spot with the seasonal produce available)with Sicily wine tasting and it all was above all my expectations. I could rant on and on about this place and each dish but I’m unsure I will have enough space. If you can go to this place GO!!!

Old world style and class! Professional service and exceptional food in an exquisite location. The talented 27 year old chef from Palermo has worked in Paris and London, charming Giorgio the sommelier has been with Charleston 50 years and makes divine cocktails. An unforgettable dining experience!

Had a world class experience at Charleston. Michela and Musa were incredible — have been able to dine at a few Michelin star restaurants and the service here matches or exceeds the best.
Food was also outstanding; every bite was interesting and beautifully constructed. I also appreciated the option of the Sicilian wine pairing.
If you’re looking for a delicious unforgettable meal in Palermo, do not miss Charleston.
