Ristorante Comeback

Food is phenomenal! Our service was friendly and attentive and spoke fluent English. Hands down, the best bruschetta I have EVER had! My steak was cooked perfectly and the kids polished off their spaghetti bolognese. It has instantly become our favorite restaurant in town!

Goldgasse is a narrow and crowded street with tables lined up one after another. I love this atmosphere. About this restaurant: the staff is very kind but be prepared to wait for a long time for the food (we waited for 1 hour) so I am giving 4 stars. but the price / performance ratio is quite good! If you cannot decide what to eat, I can suggest the menu of the day.

The Goldgasse is a fun place to go with a visiting tourist to eat. The food is fine. Takes quite a while to serve and 20 minutes to get our espressos was just too much. 33€ for one main course, water and a coffee is just too much for me for lunch. Only cash accepted was a big surprise and turnoff.

Great Italian restaurant in the heart of Wiesbaden! It is located in one of the busiest parts of the city, therefore it was full when we arrived (reservation for dinner service recommended). We got seated outside, at the curb, which was a bit noisy, however I did enjoy the lively atmosphere of the street and some music after all. I must say I didn't like how close the tables were to each other - I was sitting closer to my neighbor than to my friend in front of me so I was completely missing the sense of privacy. The food was decent and tasty - typical Italian food - you wont get disappointed but don't expect something that blows you away. We got bruschetta as an appetizer (sprinkled with balsamic, which is not my favourite ingredient) - great taste and a good sized portion - and continued with pasta dishes. I opted for tagliatelle with creamy mushroom sauce and pieces of beef. Overall great choice - pasta was al dente (as it should be) and I appreciated that I was asked how I wanted the beef to be done, the sauce was a bit heavy for me, still enjoyable and tasty though. Glass of Italian red wine was a perfect match to my food, although it could have been a little bit more chilled. The staff was good and attentive as well, nothing in particular stands out, just very polite and decent. Overall I was satisfied with choosing the Comeback restaurant! Everywhere I go, I look for premium Italian restaurants. This one was away from the main corner of Italian restaurants of Wiesbaden. However, it was the best one in town. The server was also great. Highly recommended. Massimo is a nice waiter but the tall main waiter is totally rude.

Excellent food. Been here a few times and it never disappoints. The pasta comes out warm, seasoned and the perfect amount. Recently tried the minestrone, a nice comfort on a cool day. Seasonal dishes vary in type and price. The price of dishes is a little higher than average locations in the area. It’s easy to assess that the type of dishes here are not the same as the average locations nearby. Staff is knowledgable and accommodating to adjustments in menu orders. Definitely recommend the Comback.

The staff was very decent and patient. The food tasted great! Loved the minestrone.. pumpkin soup wasn't great though!

Pizza was good a little pricey Espresso and Cafe is Way over priced plus the service is so slow getting the check and such unfortunately I will not be returning.

I come here every time I'm in Wiesbaden. We nicknamed it Ristorante "Can't lose" because no matter what the occasion and no matter who you're entertaining (this last time I went by myself). The food, cocktails and wines are always the best of quality and they never steer you wrong. Service always impeccable. See below for pics from my most recent solo visit. Food was amazing with fresh homemade pasta!! Super busy place so don't be in a rush because service is a little slow due to how packed it is! Hidden in a small alley with lots of Italian restaurants in the shopping district.. All in all AMAZING!! Review from a Texas/German!!

I always go to the Comeback when I want Italian food. The truffles pasta is always is always so yummy!! The service is exceptional! It's best to make reservations which I did online.

This place is amazing. I had a truffle cream sauce pasta that was out of this world!! Will return for the pizza.

Great place for lunch as the daily menu is always fresh, delicious and served quickly. Definitely recommend for friends, family or for a date with someone special!

I came during covid and got takeout. One of their waiters spoke good english and I asked for some recommendations. He suggested the truffle pasta and a veal dish. They were both very good and this was after another 15m of driving back to my hotel after getting the food. Made me wish I could have sat at the restaurant itself and eaten the food. Hope this place survives covid.

Service is always superb! Risotto is delicious, lamb was amazing! The scallops wrapped in bacon were delicious but only 2??? Pizza was just ok. The tortellini with pumpkin was good but only 4 tortellini??? Serving size is not their strong suit. We liked it and have gone twice but we wont return due to serving size.

Best service in Wiesbaden. They will mix and match anything on the menu. Very affordable.

Little pricey but the pumpkin ravioli and also the prawns...omg wonderful. The Cuban waiter that speaks 7 different languages was awesome. Food was good. Deserts looked amazing.

Touristy Italian, OK food Actually we broke one of our own rules.... to never visit a restaurant with aggressive hawkers out front. This is really a cardinal rule with us but having sat down at the deplorable tapas place around the corner for all of two minutes, we decided to chuck it and just go to Comeback. At least they had a sherry on the menu which the Spanish place did not. Anyway, ignoring the smarmy hawker dragging people off the street. Food was ok. Vitello Tonnato def not the best I ever had. Meager with the tuna. Pasta dishes of the day were quite good though and good value at @13.50. Waiter was relatively well versed in Italian wine and helped us choose a Barbera di Alba for @30 which was also good value. All in all OK. Not a top Italian experience. As said the aggressive hawking on the street is a big turn-off.

This restaurant gives the smallest portions in the world. I ordered a lasagna and it was smaller than a child's portion. I shared my displeasure with the waiter that delivered the food and he said that he will give me more. The first piece of lasagna didn't taste very good, wasn't bad, just tasted like it was lacking seasonings and spices. The waiter later brought out a different type of lasagna than the one I ordered (there were two types on the menu and this apparently wasn't either of them) and after i finished eating the lasagna i noticed that the waiters were laughing at me. I honestly believe that they defiled (spit or worse) the second piece of lasagna because i shared my displeasure with the portion size of the first piece. I normally don't complain to waiters about food but the size of the lasagna was comical. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this place, portion sizes will be the least of your problems. If my fears are true, I hope these disgusting waiters end up in jail. I have a receipt showing that I ate at this place if anyone doubts my experience.

Never come back: is a touristic restaurant with bad service (forgotten meal) and absolute average food with no soul.

By Far, the finest meal I have ever eaten anywhere! This restaurant consistently surpasses my expectations! From Chicago to Venice, by far the best creativity and blends of flavors EVER! Highest quality service and staff. No matter how many times I frequent this restaurant I am continually surprised by the beauty and wonderful flavors of the food. BRAVO!!!! AGAIN!!!!

Now this restaurant is located in the old city downtown. There are several Italian restaurants side by side and there are people outside luring you into their restaurant. I have eaten here several times and each time the food was amazing. The staff are nice and friendly and you might get luck or unlucky and get a musician to serenade you with an Italian love song. The price is okay nothing to complain about because you know you will get great food when you eat here.

Pretty good for lunch! I have the Penna all' Arrabatia with beef and it was delicious. Real Parmesan cheese is offered with your meal that enhances it to delicious proportions.

I agree with the other posts about the wait staff being somewhat aggressive when you walk by and trying to lure you in. I have eaten here quite a few times and I am always pleased with both the food and the service.

Delicious! Best risotto (saffron) I have had. Everything at the table was creative, tasty and affordable! Try the asparagus soup with strawberry foam and pistachios.

This is consistently the best value restaurant in Wiesbaden over the 9 and a half years I've been coming here. The food and service are of consistently high quality. Great outside in summer or inside in winter.
