Amazing food!!! Seafood lover here - everything was very fresh, seasoned and cooked to perfection, our host Giovanni did such a great job with recommendations on what to order. Excellent service, excellent food, 12/10 all in all. This restaurant deserves a Michelin star! It may be a bit pricy and not suitable for budget travelers, but if you know what you're getting into, it's worth every cent and more! We booked a table in advance and that turned out to be a good decision, as a few people without a reservation were waiting in a line to be seated. That just means that the food is really good!

The restaurant is nice, both ambients, interior and covered terrace. On the table you will find a selection of breads. Unfortunately, the bread was soft, even the typical local “crispy” one. Later on, I saw other tables with olive oil (we didnt have any) and asking for more bread, so I hope we were the exception. It was a shame they changed 3,5€ per person as “coperto” after this. On the food side… we ordered two mains, both good, but the star was the “fregola”. It wasn’t a big size, but still I would recommend it. Also, the dessert we order was amazing: beautiful and really tasty. To die for

We may have visited this restaurant on an off day because the reviews are amazing and that's why we chose it. The restaurant itself is lovely and the chef plates food beautifully. Maybe we just got a bad waiter. The service was severely lacking. Although we had a reservation, we waited a very long time to be seated and greeted by our waiter. Thankfully the thoughtful hostess helped us order some drinks before we sat down. We were very hungry and after waiting at least 45 minutes for our waiter to greet us, I finally flagged him down and asked if he would at least put some olive oil and bread on the table. He gave me an annoyed look and said he was getting around to it. It came about 10 minutes later. I felt that our waiter was kind of arrogant and he didn't check on us to see how the food was or to find out whether we needed drinks or anything else. Later, when we were ready to leave, he decided to give us a free digestive; which was a very nice gesture, but it didn’t make up for 2 1/2 hours of bad service. Foodwise, we ordered the waygu carpaccio and grilled octopus for appetizers. The grilled octopus itself was excellent, but it was served in a creamy potato sauce that was very bland. The waygu carpaccio was mushy and tasteless so we didn't finish it. I ordered the boiled lobster, which was served cold with cold veggies. The lobster was pretty good. If you choose to order it, I would recommend asking the market price up front. I was served a small spiny lobster (no claws) and it was 115 Euro. The veggies were unseasoned and looked great but were difficult to eat because they were hard and served upright in cup, which made it almost impossible to pierce them with a fork. My daughter had the gnocchi chjusoni galluresi, which she enjoyed. My son had the beef filet, which was delicious and cooked perfectly- the clear winner out of all our dishes. For the cost of this meal, I feel that we should have gotten better service and food.

amazing restaurante “da Thomas” from the outside, not really visible, once you enter you are in a new space. Beautiful artwork on the walls, bright rooms and carefully chosen pictures. Waiters are very attentive and professional, also professionally dressed, food is excellent outstanding also visually nicely prepared , including the dessert. We booked again immediately for tonight.

We stumbled upon Ristorante di Thomas while exploring the streets of Santa Teresa Gallura, and it turned out to be an absolute hidden gem. From the outside, you’d never guess the fine dining experience that awaits inside. The food was exceptional — elegant, flavorful, and beautifully plated. The staff were professional, friendly, and truly made us feel welcome. The spaghetti alle vongole was hands down the best we’ve ever had. We highly recommend booking a table in advance — we didn’t have a reservation and had to wait about 15 minutes, but it was absolutely worth it. A must-visit if you’re in town!

Overall a good experience, we enjoyed our meal. However! With high expectations you expect everything to be great, it wasnt. We ordered fried shrimp and iberico cold cut for starters. The iberico cut cant go wrong, just plate it (it was great) The fried shrimp was quite ordinary, it was good overall but the "hot sauce" was sweet chili sauce straight out of the bottle which we really did not expect. For our main course we had wagyu and shrimp pasta My wagyu was served well done, I do not know if it was on purpose or not. Whenever ive had wagyu previously it has been served medium or medium/rare which I highly prefer. The wagyu was served with mashed/puree potato and mushroom sauce. The puree and sauce was almost liquid. The shrimp pasta was good, but not great. We also had dessert, it was great. No idea what it was, but it was great. The service was great, they were alert and you literally just had to look (and linger for a few seconds) at any of the staff and they would come over. I do recommend a visit, if this wasnt perceived and priced as a fine dining/high end restaurant I would rate it higher. Total came up to 180-190 euro for above, 1 glass of wine and 2 small beer.

We tried the tasting menu, it was a great journey through lots of different flavours and textures. Some dishes we loved more than others but overall was a great meal!

Really nice place with a nice atmosphere. The food is absolutely delicious. Prices are a bit higher than for an average restaurant, but it's definitely worth it!

Yelp
English review: Da Thomas has been a staple of the Santa Teresa dining scene for over 40 years. If you want good seafood, you can't go wrong with a dinner at Da Thomas. Dishes are tasty, portions are generous, and local ingredients are often used in an inventive way. The setting is upscale without being stuffy. The menu is quite substantial, and even if you don't like seafood there are plenty of options. On a recent visit for starters I got to try the fried sea anemones, fried baby squid, and cuttlefish with smoked ricotta. I tried the fried anemones as this is something you don't see often on a menu; they have an interesting, soft consistency that is not for everybody. The fried baby calamari are served with vegetables and a cream of carrot and ginger. I really loved the cuttlefish, served with a cream of peas and the smoked ricotta that adds flavor without covering the cuttlefish. As pasta dish, the trenette with redfish and red prawn are fantastic! I like how this simple dish packs a lot of flavor. Another pasta dish I would recommend is spaghetti alle aragostelle. Pasta dishes are also large enough to be shared among two people, if you would like to try more than one dish. As main course, inquire about the fish of the day. They also serve two different types of lobster (aragosta = spiny lobster; astice = American lobster), cooked in different ways, including "alla catalana" with tomato and onions. For dessert, crema alla catalana is a perfect way to end your meal. Keep in mind that service can be slow. All servers are good, but in the summer the restaurant is packed, and the kitchen is likely overwhelmed. You may have to wait 45 minutes or so between one course and the next. My recommendation is, unless you found yourself in Santa Teresa in the off season, to always reserve a table. And if slow service bothers you come early like 7:30pm. L'atmosfera e' raffinata senza essere The formale.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I went here for dinner as it came highly recommended from everyone. The service was great with good wine options and tasty cocktails. Our appetizers and pasta and fish were delicious, but the dessert was the highlight for me. Very nice restaurant for a fancy dinner in Santa Teresa Gallura, I definitely recommend.

Yelp
So incredible that we went for two successive bites. More, more MORE of the freshest and most delicious seafoood in town. Spaghetti with clams was memorable. Tuna tartare was amazing. But the dish you must order is the special seafood appetizer for two. Dish after dish of exquisitely prepared seafood comes out in an outrageously decadent parade. Photos attached of most, but not all, of the dishes because we kept forgetting to take photos. If you are visiting Santa Teres. This is a must stop, 5 forks place.

Yelp
A seafood restaurant serving fresh fish and seafood for a hefty price in a stressful setting. Went here as other reviews on the net claimed this was a good spot for us with GF. Unfortunately I experienced the opposite. The waiter we had did not seems to understand what GF meant and even with translation cards regarding GF and him talking to the kitchen they seemed quite unsure what they could serve me. In the end I opted for fresh lobster and got a meal that was hardly seasoned and also had bread on the plate. BIG FAIL! The staff was very stressed and was running around between the tables which made it hard to enjoy the food. You felt the stress in the waiters mood and over all atmosphere of the restaurant. We also had a bit of a misunderstanding with the waiter due to language barrier and ended up with a bill that was substantially higher than planned. Observe that if you opt for the fresh food, it is noted in the menu that the food is per 100g. Even though the food was fresh and the rest of my company was quite happy with their food, we all felt that the service and over all atmosphere in the restaurant was a real drawback. I would not visit again, but if you do like fresh fish and seafood and is prepared to enjoy your food in a hectic environment this restaurant might still be a good option.

Yelp
Excellent food, quality and price. If you love fish and seafood this is the right place to go.
