Had high hopes of this restaurant after seeing an episode of Bobby & Giada in Italy from the Food Network.
Made a reservation weeks in advance. When we arrived, we were greeted promptly and directed to a nice table. The food took a long time to arrive, but that wasn't a problem. We ordered the Arrabiatta and Cacio & Pepe pastas which were both slightly undercooked. I appreciate al dente pasta, but their pasta has a slight crunch, tolerable but not what I would expect from a restaurant in Italy. Our melon and cheese salad was good and fresh. The reason for the one-star review is because when our entrees arrived, my son's medium-rare Filet was severely overcooked(well done). When we asked for it to be remade, our waiter removed the plate and told us it will be remade. Our waiter also forgot to order my other son's steak and he apologized and said he would bring both steaks out together, which wasn't a problem, mistake happen. After about 10 minutes the two steaks were brought out to my sons. To our disappointment, when they both cut into their steaks, they were raw. Not rare, but raw in the middle. My son steak (that our waiter originally
forgot to order) decided to send it back as he had lost his appetite. My other son asked our waiter if he could cook his filet up to medium rare. To my surprise, our waiter said that his filet "is" medium rare. I chimed in and said "no, it is not medium rare, it is raw, can you please cook it more?" Begrudgingly, he took the steak back to be cooked more. As I stated before, mistakes happen, but there was no apology or an effort to make anything right. When the steak was brought back out, it was still undercooked, but my son ate it anyways because he was hungry after waiting over an our for his meal. When the waiter dropped off the check, he just said that they are not charging us for the steak that was returned, no apology, nothing!
I also ordered glass of wine to enjoy with my meal twice and it was never brought out.
Stay clear of this place, there are plenty of other restaurants in the area that will show more appreciation for your business.
