The minute I walked in I knew I was in for a fabulous experience. Sweet dog greeting me at the door, Yiayias chatting with their friends, an auntie peeling potatoes for what I assume will be delicious fresh fries. The vibes of a family-run and family-style restaurant are here. The food is no exception. I had some menu items in-mind but was guided with what would be the most in-season and their recommendation. I was not disappointed! The flavors reminded me of my great-grandmother’s cooking (don’t let the last name fool you) with family memories and flavors.

Traditional taverna with good quality of ingredients and tasty food. We had grilled octopus(fresh) and goat meat with homemade pasta called matsata. Definitely worth to try!

If you're not a fan of tourist restaurants with mediocre dishes... If you want to catch the rhythm of Folegandros and eat local food, then you're in the right place. Try the baked blue eggplant with cheese, as well as the matsata with goat meat. For wild fish, ask the young owner, Yorgos.

We had the Greek salad, fava, stuffed peppers, and sun dried octopus. The meal was phenomenal. Easily the best octopus we had during our trip in Greece. Highly recommend this place for the mom and pop feel and fantastic view over the Aegean Sea!

A family-run restaurant, where Greek cuisine is in its purest and most authentic form. We were in several restaurants on the island and this is the best in our opinion. We dined here twice, but we would have liked to come again. Try it because it really deserves and do not miss their Moussaka because it is as big as good!

Mimis is the perfect afternoon lunch spot. The food is unpretentious and excellent, exactly what we were looking for. We recommend the octopus, and of course Greek salad. We were served by the owner who made us feel welcome and unhurried.

Not fancy, not pretentious. Just amazing, super authentic, local cuisine. They use their own ingredients (e.g. tomatoes from their backyard). I loved their matsata with rooster.
