Great experience, good price, quality food, and nice staff. Was not disappointed after coming here due to the Google Maps reviews. Off-menu available and while it was empty at the beginning, it was very busy a little bit later. Great tiramisu.

This is the best choice you can make. I was here for the first time a year ago and I knew that when I was in the area again this place was a must-visit. Delicious food, wonderful staff and once again the same waitress who is for me the showcase and good soul of this place. 😊Unfortunately I don't know the name, but next time I'll definitely remember to ask! 😁 I recommend it to everyone, this place is already my favorite in Ferrara!

Very busy restaurant but they fit us in for a late lunch. Service was friendly and super efficient. Meals came out quickly and were delicious. Feels like a ‘locals’ restaurant.

This is my favorite trattoria in Ferrara, I travel there once in a while just for this exact place. The service is fast and friendly. one of the interesting things about this place is also their wines, they have several options of house wines with fair prices and generous quantity. Food: we always start with “tagliere” which has different kinds of ham, then we go with primo and secondo. Both the quality and quantity is very good. P.s: the only thing that I’m not a big fan of, is the desert! It could be better.

Really cool local place. Full of Italians having a nice warm lunch on a cold day. Pumpkin ravioli ragu (cappellacci) was excellent, and so was the “pasta pie” (pasticcio). The salama da sugo was also great. It tastes very similar to “chinese sausage”. I was not a big fan of the mashed potatoes on it, but still a good dish. I couldn’t eat the whole thing by myself. Very strong flavors. And finally, the brownie desert (tenerina) was excellent.

We visited this place sometime in November and were impressed with the hospitality despite the huge number of people (it’s pretty much crowded whenever you come here), the delicious food, and their reasonable prices. Came back again today and despite the fact that they were about to close at 3 pm (we arrived a little past 2 pm), we were treated with the utmost courtesy, given lots of service bread, and we never felt rushed at all. Husband had the pork cheek this time around (he had pork knuckle previously) and it is the tenderest meat. I had my usual which is the puff pastry with prosciutto and shredded cheese and balsamic vinegar which is an absolute delight. The tenerina chocolate cake is divine.

Good service. Food is good (rabbit from daily menu was amazing, timramisu was great). Need reservation if you want to seat inside. Otside you can find a table, view is nice but the overall experience not great when seated outside.

Nice local restaurant near/within the historic area of Ferrara with a stunning view of the old castle. The menu has classic local/Italian food that feels fresh and made locally by hand, the food was great and so was the wine and definitely at affordable and good prices. I recommend anyone passing through the area to sit down for lunch with a stunning view.

Yelp
Great place for typical Ferrara food, from pumpkin ravioli to salami and cheese. The food was impeccable, but the house wine we were offered was a bit turned and we had to exchange it for another one (a great white from Tuscany). The atmosphere was nice and warm, the location really nice (behind the castle), and the service was absolutely friendly and welcoming. The English menu is a reduced version of the Italian one, so bring your translator if you wish anything else or the specials of the day.

Yelp
By far one of the best restaurants we ate at in the Emilia Romagna. We splurged and got a cheese/meat appetizer platter with bread before we had our main meal. We ate everything and wished we could eat more. Great place for typical Ferrara food, like the must-try Cappellacci Di Zucca Ferraresi (pumpkin ravioli with butter sage sauce), pecorino cheese and mortadella. Great location behind the Castello Estense (a must see). The dining atmosphere is casual and the servers are helpful if you don't speak Italian.
