Ristorante Il Solitario

A very cute, cozy place in Anacapri, very easy to find if you arrive by bus from Capri. The staff is very kind, and if I return to Capri (and Anacapri), I’ll definitely eat there again. Their homemade pasta is incredibly delicious, and the dessert was a very pleasant way to end the meal.

We ordered the lemon fettuccine, ravioli, potato pasta, fresh lemon juice, and broccoli. All were delicious! The lemon pasta was slightly creamy, but had a good balance with the lemon. The ravioli was probably the best I have ever had. The ambiance was a pleasant mellow vibe, perfect for an evening dinner in Capri. The dessert was delightful as well. The waiters were all lovely and patient, absolutely recommend this restaurant.

The staff genuinely seemed to care about our experience, which added to the overall charm. Overall, Trattoria Il Solitario is a must-visit for anyone looking to savor authentic Italian cuisine in a laid-back and friendly setting. We left with satisfied palates and happy hearts, eager to return again!

I don’t know how anyone can dare to rate this place with anything less than 5 stars, that is unless you dont have a clue what good food is. If you want pasta (your have to try the Ravioli here!), a caprese salad, and a tiramisu, this is one of the best places I’ve been to in the world. Everyone thinks that Capri is super expensive, but this place shows you don’t have to pay the ridiculous tourist prices on offer at many of the restaurants. There are many other places like this in Capri, you just need to take some time and look around…

Really nice local restaurant. Felt welcomed, and not overly touristy. Nice food choices, plentiful wine choices. The staff very friendly the only challenge was that two different times the staff delivered the wrong items and I think because they relied on their memory instead of writing it down, which causes some headache because then the rest of the table has to wait for the order to be corrected which can spoil the experience. Just a minor annoyance. I would go back

This is an excellent choice for lunch or dinner. Our waitress’s grandmother opened the restaurant many years ago, and it is truly family run. The meatballs were outstanding and the best we had on our trip. Atmosphere was excellent as well. Would 100% recommend. Traveler from NC.

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting to host our daughters welcome dinner. From start to finish, the evening was nothing short of magical. This gathering started at 7:00pm and ended after midnight! The dinner was serviced in a beautiful private terrace in Anacapri. The owners/team welcomed us with open arms, making every guest feel special and genuinely at home—a true reflection of southern Italian hospitality at its finest. The menu was a feast of local flavors, thoughtfully crafted and beautifully presented. From the fresh antipasti, assorted cheese, appetizers to the homemade pastas and outstanding dessert, each course was a highlight. The eggplant parmigiana, and pesto gnocci were standouts, earning rave reviews from our guests. And the wine—locally sourced and perfectly paired—flowed generously throughout the evening. What truly set Il Solitario apart was the attention to detail and the passion of the staff. Every element—from the table setup in the lush garden courtyard to the timing of each course—was executed flawlessly. The warmth, professionalism, and sincere care shown by the entire team turned a lovely dinner into a lasting memory. If you're planning a special event in Anacapri, Ristorante Il Solitario is a dream. We are deeply grateful for the experience and will remember it always. Stopped by here during our recent trip and am so glad we did! It’s a little tucked away so make sure you look out for the sign on the street. It’s a cute garden setting. The food was amazing. Absolutely recommend getting the lemon pasta. Others got seafood and also said it was so fresh and delicious.

It's hard to find a non-touristy place up here. The garden patio at this restaurant is lovely and the prices are decent. But the cooking lacks much attention to flavor and the service is inconsistent.

This place was amazing. A hole in the wall. I almost didn't post this to prevent yall from coming but it's so delicious that I decided to share my happiness .

We enjoyed our lunch in the steamy - but cooler than the sidewalks during this summer 2023 heat wave. Lovely staff. Delicious Caprese Salad (of course!) and our entrees of shrimp ravioli and spaghetti with cherry tomatoes were delicious. Especially fresh and flavorful bread.

The best shrimp ravioli I've ever had. I went here back in October and it was easily my favorite meal in Italy. We went on a quiet weekday night and had the backyard area to ourselves. This place was recommended by a local and it was such a treat ! Service was excellent. Will be recommending to everyone I know.

Not very authentic Italian food place. After walking around thought this place looked good and authentic but wasn't as good as I was expecting it to be :) Have mixed feelings; not sure if I want to recommend this place or not. I personally would not go back, would try something different.

This is typically the spot for tourists: industrial products, italian dishes on the menu, romantic music...and that's all. I happen to know a bit italian food and this place does not serve quality. The mozzarella is plastic, the rocket has no taste, so as the tomatoes. I had some ravioli which were hot and the sauce on the top it was cold (and did not taste tomato at all). What the ***? Furthermore it's not cheap, we paid 37€ each for a starter, main course and a bottle of wine. You have to avoid this place!

It's definitely a hidden gem. Good selection of food options. Good staff. And definitely tasty.

I'm re-rating this trattoria from a 5* to a 1* because the original owners sold the property a few years back which I wasn't aware of until this past summer...and now it's a completely different Owner & staff and menu. I've been coming to this restaurant for over 25 years and the original owner "Linda" was AMAZING and the food phenomenal! One of the best little places for a casual bite ever! The Pizza, pastas and fish. Now to tell u the truth a nice British couple owns it and I cannot verify the food or the quality... so your on your own. We really miss the food served when Linda owned the restaurant. It was worth the visit to Capri every year!

Not good at all, and I'm a pretty forgiving person. The 8 euro mixed salumi plate was the cheapest I've seen in any restaurant - 2 meager slices of 3 different kinds of salumi and maybe 4 small pieces of cheese. I know it was Anacapri but this was a joke. We had to wait about 20 minutes before even getting the starter, and we finished the entire bread basket out of desperation and hunger. My saute "mixed" seafood was basically zuppa di cozze but with a few added clams, and 2 euro more expensive than a normal zuppa di cozze. I felt robbed. My boyfriend's eggplant melanzane was hot and cheesy but should have been filled up to the top of the small ceramic bowl, and it wasn't. Very cheap restaurant on the portion size, a total tourist trap. 55 euro for one of the most disappointing meals I've ever had.

I can highly recommend this Trattoria. As the other reviewer says,at first you wonder if you are going the right way as you feel as if you are walking through a private garden but don't turn back as this place is BEAUTIFUL. The food is amazing & the prices very reasonable. You can almost get a full meal for the price of a sandwich & a glass of wine in rip off Capri Town. The sea food is particularly to be recommended. My wife asked for grilled fish. The proprietor brought her 3 fish on a silver salver to chose from. When cooked the fish was brought to the table & taken off the bone. It was amazing, not a single bone was left in the fish. I love this place & hope to go back again & again
