Ristorante La Gardèla Ravenna

It’s a semi-casual restaurant that provides tasty and well portioned food. The pasta’s were pretty good and had one of the finest portions I have seen in Italy. The fish had good quality. Also we have ordered a green salad in the middle however, taste wise, it was not satisfying. They have really good house wine options which are local and tasteful, it definitely is a recommendation for the wines. Overall it’s an OK restaurant that can satisfy your evening with nice breezy air and vibe. I would suggest to try it yourself.

Tipped off by Marco (Ravenna local) and Lonely Planet, I took a table at La Gardela with a street view and dived into three plates. Best first: hand-made tortellini with ricotta and herbs in the house tomato-cream sauce — supple pasta, sauce just rich enough. 8/10. Then fresh squid and prawns with courgette frites, plus simple griddled tomatoes to test the produce: squid and courgette were spot on, prawns a shade over, frites under-seasoned. 6.5/10. Dessert, “Crema di Ravenna”, a set custard with caramelised orange — fine idea, needed more zest in the custard. 5/10.

Lovely place with a varied menu and a lot of tables. My pasta tasty but under cooked. The grilled vegetables looked great but tasted meh. Wine was good. Cold water. Good service.

Ravioli filled with sea bass was standout for me. Service a bit rushed. Main out quickly after starter. Varied wine list was great.

This was a delicious restaurant. We had a four course meal here and I enjoyed everything bite. The dessert was my favorite. The servers are so kind and helpful. If you are in Ravenna, you should definitely try this restaurant. There’s plenty of seating and it was a wonderful experience.

We had the most amazing experience here for lunch today. We sat outside on the balcony in a little window alcove and watched the world go by. The food was amazing, service from three different waiters was impeccable, the sizes were very generous and the prices were super affordable. I was so full after my first pasta dish that I actually canceled my main and went straight to dessert. Highly recommended

We came to Ravenna a day early for our 7 day cruise. After touring the historic part of the town. They have many restaurants all of them seen very nice. But La Gardela has a charm, the food was incredible tasty , the staff beyond friendly and helpful with my Italian. The town of Ravenna is beautiful so all of his residents. Will re visit this restaurant upon my return. Great food

Went there with my aunt! It was lunch time and it was full. We were served fairly fast by 2 different servers, but one kind of was cranky (it was hot, noisy and busy). The food we chose was really good and we all enjoyed it very much. We will definitely go back whenever we go back to visit my aunt.

When ever in Ravenna stop by. Super nice restaurant, food is delicious friendly staff speaks English and Spanish Had a great time

Nice family restaurant, pretty close to the historic center of Ravena. Had the ravioli, which were very good, and the skewer of assorted meats. They were savory and delicious. The only down note was the creme ravena, which is a local specialty. It was very bitter, but they had a substantial selection of other deserts, which may have been more enjoyable.

Working your way through all the mosaics on the combo ticket in Ravenna sure worked up an appetite. Easily seated here and provided an english menu. Local wine and pasta, cant get much better than that. Affordable prices for a great meal. Highly recommend stopping in.

Our meals at this popular restaurant were amazing. The pasta, mixed grill & roast potatoes we ordered were delicious. It was lovely to eat our dinner on the outdoor terrace. If you want to eat here you need to make a booking or get here early. We saw them turning people away when we left the restaurant at 8:00 pm.

We ate outside, lovely place. Had the lamb chops, pork loin, mixed veggies, salad carpaccio, and a bottle of red wine. Everything was very good. Great evening and atmosphere. Staff was very helpful.

Had a nice lunch here while spending a few hours in Ravenna. We both had a set menu. I had tortellini with sage and butter as my first course. Delicious! As the second course I had the meat skewers with a side of potatoes. So good and the potatoes were delicate and delicious. We had bread, wine, water and espresso/cappuccino for desert. There were a lot of locals dining here. Service was attentive and dining outside was pleasant. A very enjoyable meal and highly recommended!

We stumbled upon this pace while considering another restaurant. One of the couple eating outside overheard our discussion and recommended that we try La Gardela. Turned out to be a great tip. All the food we ordered was great. The atmosphere was great. And, the prices were very reasonable. We'd definitely return here if in Ravenna again.

Skip the antipasti, the pasta here is so good that your eyes roll back in your head --I had the tortellini with ricotta and spinach. Filled with Italian locals for lunch, you might have to wait for a table, but it's worth it.
