Ristorante La Lanterna Olbia Italy since 1980

I stumbled upon this place as it was one of the few that opened around 3 PM. They have both indoor seating with air conditioning and outdoor seating, which is great for summer. The waitress was very nice and friendly, and the service was fast. However, the food was fairly average—nothing particularly special for me. I had the seafood spaghetti and the carbonara. The tiramisu was just okay.

Food was quite good, but service was not. In an established restaurant like this one we expected waiters who could speak or understand English even a little bit, who bring food evenly on time to everyone sitting, and who bring sauces to a salad without being asked twice. The place was quite chaotic and we couldn’t enjoy our dinner due to the messy and inadequate service. Maybe it’s better if you come at an earlier or calmer time.

Looking for a place to eat we came across this nice and cozy restaurant. They had some great local dishes, the waiters were really nice and helpful and the food was just spectacular!!! You definitely have to come and try this place! ❤️

Raffaele è stato veramente un ospite eccezionale. We didn’t just eat here once, but after lunch, we immediately made reservations for the night for dinner. Our last night in Olbia before leaving for Cagliari, and there is no where else we would have chosen tonight. Out of the way off the beaten tourist walk & food that was exceptionally delicious and true to La Sardegna.

All of our dishes tasted excellent. The seafood, vegetables, and meat were incredibly fresh. The atmosphere and service were also great. Highly recommended!

This was our first dinner in Sardegna and we were just in awe with it. The atmosphere on a summer evening and also in combination with other guests and the hosts were just perfect. The waiter were super professional and always had an eye an all tables. They were very attentive and discrete. The food was a 10/10! It was such an amazing dinner with all qualities in top notch! Thank you for having us ☺️

I never write reviews but now I have to. First, we came here and service was good. We sat down and started check the menu. The waitress asked are we ready and we said that we have to think still and everything was still good. Then other waiter came and asked are we ready and we said we are ready to order and the waiter heard wrong I guess and went away. Then we waited 15minutes and we had to take contact to the waitress because I think there was misunderstanding happened because they didn't spoke english well. That was still OK for us, mistakes happens. We ordered food and drinks and food came fast actually but drinks were missing. So we ate the whole food without drinks and after food drinks came on the table. We said about that and answer was just yea i know that, not even apologies. We declined taking those drinks because we ate food without them and asked the check immediately after that. Waitress was so annoyed in that time, took plates and drinks and took away without saying anything. The check came, and they put service fee, but we declined paying for that, we wanted pay only for the food because there wasn't service, we didn't touch the drinks and bread. The waitress didn't agree with that and tried say back that we have to pay it because service, bread etc. At the end she just took the money, didn't say anything and walked away. I think this restaurant experience reach out to the top 3 worsted ever. Can't recommend.

Overrated! Later edit: I don't know what you're talking about regarding cash, that's not my situation. Regarding the review, it seems overrated to me, considering that for a 4-star restaurant, I expect it to have waiters who understand English, who have enough wine glasses, and who don't forget an order at a table three times. The rating is a constructive one; perhaps the owner isn't even aware that these things happened. Some of the products were very tasty. Best regards,
