Best grilled fish on planet Earth. Period. The fresh catch was grilled to absolute perfection—crispy skin, juicy inside, straight from Poseidon’s personal stash. The fries? Let’s just say I’m considering a long-distance relationship with them. Pro tip: Don’t ask for ketchup unless you want the chef to stare into your soul with disappointment. Respect the art, people. Service was top-notch—friendly, fast, and full of personality. And the view? Let’s just say I considered faking a proposal just to stay longer. Will 1000% be back..

Seafood in particular the fish here is well recommended. Vongole pasta is one of the better renditions I’ve tried in Italy

Visited for lunch on Saturday and had a fabulous seafood meal. Appetizer mussels clams in wine sauce. Main ravioli plus a shrimp scampi type platter. Bread is classic Italian delicious. And Peronis to enjoy. Service was sharp and smiling. Patient while we debated the menu, prompt on refills. One or my top 5 meals in Europe over 20 days or more. Great view of kitchen walking in.

We ate lunch here, our first day in Amalfi, after traveling in Italy for 2 weeks. This was the best meal of our trip. They have a beautiful, no-frills patio on the ocean, the service was excellent, and we will remember the meal forever.

We had a terrible experience at this place, staff was very rude and somewhat racist. They treated us differently then other customers due to our skin colour. Food was horrible, they didn't let my girl to choose the simple tomato pasta as they had some compulsory selection of 2 or something from menu. I ordered grilled shrimps, squid and lobster. They didn't even remove the blood veins ( I will post the photo). We just ordered 2 simple homemade pasta which was very chewy, fries and the above dish, it cost us €122. They didn't even come once to our table as part of their customer service and we had to go to the counter to pay the bill. Even then they let us wait for 5 mins. Do not waste your time and money at this place. There are far better restaurants with very professional customer service.

Food was good, wine was great, the dog that lives at the restaurant going up to the tables named Gus was 10/10!

Lido Azzurro In June of 20223 we found this wonderful restaurant that sits right on the harbor. Our driver had choose this place for us to stop for lunch while touring the Amalfi Coast. The food nothing less than amazing. The seafood was nothing shorty from phenomenal. We sat with a great view of the harbor watching the summer rain next sun shine. The staff was amazing. The restaurant is located right on the water by the port, the weather was nice and we sat outside to enjoy the scenery and the water front views. This is an upscale restaurant with upscale prices $$$+. The sea bass dish (fresh catch of the day) was bland and the portion size was very small overall disappointing. Other members of our group enjoyed better portion sizes and flavors (seafood pasta was a favorite). For dessert, the Tiramisu was great. At the end, after eating dinner, desserts, coffee, etc. it was time to pay (which you don’t do at the table you have to go inside) and we pointed out to the cashier that they were over charging us for water and her immediate response was to argue with us about it. The attitude is the main reason I wouldn’t come back here.

Our server was not having a good day. The reviews looked good, the food was good, but from the moment we were seated, the evening went downhill. Our server greeted us after a few minutes and asked if we were ready to order and we asked to see a menu first. When she returned, we ordered a few appetizers to start. She then told us to order everything or it would take too long to be served later. The way she said it was kinda rude. We ordered a three item sampler along with a seafood dish. The food was good, but my wife had asked for red pepper flakes, which she bought, but quickly removed them from our table and place on another table. My wife asked for them back, but they never returned. Our drink service was very slow. There was some more attitude during our meal service which prompted my wife to get up and leave the restaurant. We cannot recommend.

While the location and views were lovely, we were disappointed in the service and food. We had lunch reservations and when we arrived, there was no table set up. In fact, it took about 5-10 minutes to get the table ready. We waited about 15-20 minutes before we were able to give a drink order. Since it took so long, we ordered our lunches at the same time. I split the Linguini scampi and it was a nice lunch portion, but the scrimp was disappointing. It came body, shells, claws and all. The tails were about as small as I have ever seen on a shrimp. By the time we got rid of all the stuff you don't eat, there was very very little shrimp left to eat. We were trying to be nice but I felt like we had to keep asking for things. Asked for bread nothing came. Asked again. Asked for oil to dip bread. Nothing came, asked again. I saw one gentleman ask for his bill multiple times and finally just walked up to the front desk. It's a higher end place with ambiance and pricing. I just expect more when I pay 48eu to split a 2 person linguini shrimp lunch.

This was by far the worst meal I've had on the Amalfi Coast. Lido Azzuro clearly caters only to tourists who will never return, so doesn't care about quality or the customer experience. I was seduced by the waterfront location, which is genuinely lovely. But when I (a single woman) sat down for lunch, with the deck nearly empty (the restaurant had just opened), I was coldly asked to move to the very back since I didn't have a reservation. Point of fact: The deck remained only half full for the duration of my lunch. I ordered spaghetti con frutti di mare (spaghetti with mixed seafood). While I waited, the server delivered a basket of stale, generic white bread that might have been served to another party the day before. Not a good sign! When the spaghetti came, with one bite, I knew that I'd been "had." This dish is served by every restaurant on the Amalfi Coast, but in comparison with others, this restaurant: (1) only included mussels and clams, no shrimp or calamari or other seafood; (2) undercooked the spaghetti so much that it couldn't even be called "al dente," and (3) didn't bother to scrub the huge white barnacles off of the mussels. And while I know pasta in Italy isn't intended to be the main course, still, the portion here was tiny in comparison to that served by other local restaurants. Weirdly, despite the high prices and unfriendly attitudes of the staff, the restaurant made you stand in line to pay inside the restaurant (versus paying at your table), which took a good 10 minutes longer than it should have. Literally the only redeeming characteristic of Lido Azzuro is the location and view. For good food or a pleasant dining experience, look elsewhere.

Our driver said if there was a place to eat it would be here. He got us a reservation while we walked around. The view was great. Had I had the choice first off based off the menu I would have decided to go else where. This is a high end restaurant and the food did not meet those expectations. The fish in tomato sauce with potato was very bland and lacked a lot of flavor. The arugula (rocket) shrimp was okay ish. If anything the ravioli was the only good thing from what we had. This was an expensive place, ate everything off my plate and I left still hungry. Beautiful seating just was bleh

Nice place and better food; Kyra and myself enjoy a wonderful dinner, starting with a Prosecco Don Andrea, followed 2 spaghetti pasta: one with fruto del mare ( house landmark) and other al pesto: extraordinary. We closed the "faena" with limoncello shots. We'll be back!

I attended Lido Azzuro for a Rehersal dinner. The atmosphere was beautiful a long the Amalfi coast. The layout a long the pier was felt we were on the cast of a perfect romance movie. The table was organized well with the service being very attentive and perhaps chatty with us. Unfortunately, the food was not up to a standard I was led to believe. Each dish was presented well but their true flavours were buried in sauces that lacked the basic ingredients to bring out the essence of the fish: Salt, Pepper, Lemon. It felt like the foundations of fish flavour was lost in chasing after extravagance. I hope it returns when I do.

Probably my favorite meal in Italy! Great keto meal packed with protein . The staff was great! Food was fast to arrive. Price was decent. I only wish I could enjoy it again tomorrow!

We celebrated our 25th wedding Anniversery. The food was excellent! I usually don't like oyster, but I think I have been turned into give it another chance. Thank you for making our special night so memorable!

Beautiful patio. Nice breeze on the water. Food was good but not what was ordered. I ordered zucchini flower stuffed with ricotta and anchovies. It came with mozzarella and no ricotta. When i asked the server about it she just said No ricotta- we use mozzarella. Well I REALLY was wanting ricotta and it would have been nice if I was told so I could have ordered something else. Also, not sure if she is a manager or lead server-Elana- but she was VERY rude. When we were first going to order we said we would order two items and see how much food it was. She replied "No you ordered all now or takes too long to come ". So hubby and I said ok..... few minutes later we placed entire order. Then someone else asked for hot peppers and she took the bowl off our table and said "be right back" and she never brought it back. After I paid the bill I looked at it and they charged us for a water and we did not have any water- just 2 beers and a Prosecco. When I went back in to tell her about it she was so rude, no apology, just said "I give you your money back madam " and reached in a can for The €3. Thats when I asked her name. I understand everyone has a bad day but when in service industry it affects your entire establishment. Its a lovely place and I am sorry this happened but we will NOT be back.

Disappointed with the service at this restaurant. We had to ask three times for water and never received our table bread until we asked for that too. We were so disappointed we decided to go back to our hotel for desert. Upon paying the bill the waitress snapped at me when I looked over the bill to confirm the charges. Completely unprofessional and unwelcomed. Food-wise my steak was salty and the Spaghetti and Scampi came with no tools crack the shrimp. In the end there was so little shrimp that it was disappointing. We kept asking ourselves, why didn't they just put the shrimp meat in the spaghetti instead of making us fight with it? And to add insult to injury, they never provided anything to clean fingers after trying pull the meat from the shell. Do not recommend.

One of my favorite places in Amalfi, and maybe one of the best meals seafood wise I had in Italy! The plating isn't gorgeous, and it isn't pretentious. I went during lunch time around January and it was just a beautiful seascape and the sound of ocean waves. We had a tasting menu of sorts, as a friend with us knew the owner personally, so the portions in the pictures are smaller than they would be normally. However, everything was incredibly fresh, and you could taste how much love went into that restaurant. It might be a bit touristy due to proximity, but you bet everyone barely speaks English and Italian is the spoken language. Can't wait to go back.

Wonderful restaurant in Amalfi. Lido Azzurro is right on the water by the marina, a short walk from the center of town. The pasta and seafood are the stars of the show here, but everything is terrific. Given it's location there are a good number of tourists, but the number of locals attest to it turning out great food. Some complain of slow service, but really this is simply the relaxed approach that is the Amalfi Coast.

Staff was great and food just as good. Forget the other review complaining about steak...who gets steak at the foot of the sea? I had pasta and clams that were as good as anything you'll get. Staff was extremely accommodating to English speakers and even for 3, with a bottle of wine, it was under 115 euro. You can't beat the views by the way...

The waiter "male" ignored our drink order and moved right to food, he did not have the ability to describe the difference between the 2 beers they had available. He was not able to explain Any wine on the menus, we wanted a bottle lol :) - they sold "sea bass" as the same fish as snapper, when asked for his preference - the waiter told us the snapper is fishy - wow that is not great!! we ordered sea bass, which was ver thin like snapper !! I think we all got the snapper .. This place is pricey, I expected more. -

After a failed wine tasting/dinner at a nearby winery, our driver suggested we stop at Lido Azzurro for dinner on our way back to Positano to salvage the evening. He called ahead, and they were waiting when we arrived. The location is great in that it is located on the waterfront and overlooks a small marina. They have interior and exterior seating. Although definitely a large and tourist oriented restaurant, they did an excellent job with regard to food/wine quality, professional service and pricing. We had wine, appetizers, pasta and seafood. All were really good and priced reasonably. The standout at the restaurant were our waiters (Arturo & Eugenio). They were fun and engaging and really spent time with us talking, laughing and making us feel welcome. I was goofing on them and they gave as good as they got. They really made it an enjoyable evening. This is probably not the place if you are looking for a very quiet and romantic experience, but if you are looking for good food, great waiters and reasonable prices, you are at the right spot. Highly recommend.

Made a reservation and got here and she gave us the furthest row from having a view. I told her we made a reservation two months ago and she said sorry we were a few minutes late. The table was empty the whole time we were there. Was so excited to try because a lot of people recconend we here but the food was very average. I had steak it came overdone but when they redid it it tasted like nothing and my mom had linguine with clam sauce that tasted like nothing. None of the staff was friendly either

Overdue but still deserves to be recognized. Driver recommended and called them ahead. When we got there we were told "Sorry, we are serving locals only" (my girlfriends and I are Asian Americans from CA). When I mentioned our driver made reservations and said his name, well of course she welcomed us! Food and view was amazing. One bite into the calamari and clams, it was like tasting the sea. It was that fresh. The waiter was friendly and funny. It was one of the biggest highlights to our trip of the Amalfi Coast. Highly recommend.

Hot take, this restaurant is absolute gold. Its on the water, has great views, unreal fish, and a good vibe. Service could be slow when busy, but the food is more than worth it. Got the grilled mixed fish and you could easily tell it was fresh and probably caught that day. Were here for a week and are 104% eating here again over someplace new.

The vibe and the service are great. Beautiful views. Food is good. Dessert is not good. Not many options on that front. I got the Prawn Scampi and unfortunately - it yielded a lot of work, without tools, for not enough result. We enjoyed the caprese and the fusili special was very nice.

Ravioli and wine were delicious; however, we waited a lifetime to receive our check. Everything was lovely and I feel badly for reducing the stars, but it felt like we were being ignored. The table next to us was having the exact same problem and they were not quiet about the situation. Tip one: go at seven. Tip two: ask for the check midway through the meal.

Fresh as possible seafood, usually regionally, or simply prepared. "Limon, limon, limon" suggests the waiter as to which preparation to get. We found the service to be attentive, snarky, and generous. The daily menu card insert actually did change. Sat in their enclosed patio on sea's edge, almost a overly refreshing breeze allowed in one day. Bunch of locals eating there to despite it's obvious touristy potential. I had the local lemon sauced sea bass, and then later had it plain grilled just to have the that great fresh fish by itself. Pasta was as good as gets, clams another fresh sea goody. The seafood risotto (very popular with locals) outdid my old seafood mishmash favorite of the late Milwaukee's Scottie's Crab House's bouillabaisse on I think Sundays, as there was a sweet-spot for when to order it, but anyway... Excellently paired local wines, fresh breads, fresh desserts, some table side presentations happening, all contributed to great meals at Lido Azzurro. In the top three dinners of Italy in my few weeks of exploring. (with San Martino Gastronomia in Monterosso, and some small, near impossible to find, ragu and pork centric fine restaurant open Monday nights [and others] in Bologna, pushing aside Felice a Testaccio and it's famous Cacio e pepe; All'Antico Vinaio sandwich shop in Florence is still best overall eats).

If you are exploring the Amalfi Coast and actually stop by the town of Amalfi, I highly suggest you stop by this restaurant by the marina. Recommended by the driver of the car service we were using, me and my wife were pleasantly surprised to eat some of the best pasta we had during our week in Italy. We ordered the spaghetti with capers, olives, cherry tomatoes as well as another pasta the region is known for - the scialatielli with smoked mozzarella, eggplants, cherry tomatoes, and basil. So delicious we wish we could have eaten there everyday.

My husband and I ate here on our first night in Amalfi and were not disappointed. Our server was fantastic - recommended amazing wine, food, and was attentive the entire night. I had the spaghetti with scampi which was easily one of my favorite meals in Italy. We ended the dinner with cheesecake (whipped with strawberries and graham cracker bits...amazing!) and a small glass of mandarino. Not only was the food fantastic, you cannot beat the view!

Ordered a filet well done....which should be borderline burnt. Steak was raw on the inside. Straight pink flesh. I asked if this was "well done" and was told "in Amalfi it's medium" then why did you let me order well done? Great team of listeners. Steak was also covered in a creamy sauce when menu simply stated "Beef Filet with Green Peppers" When asked about sauce i was told "in Amalfi there's always sauce it's just not listed" Pasta was great but paying €28 for a filet, not liking it at all and having them still leave it on the bill is rediculous. Listen to your customers and give them what they ask for. Even McDonalds gets that right. For the record i average about 15 countries per year along with 40-45 of the US states per year and have never ordered a steak and been told "in this city it's just this"

This place was recommended to us by our driver from the airport as the best spot in Amalfi. We had a truly wonderful dinner. Our server spoke English, and was very helpful with both the wine and food recommendations. We enjoyed three courses: pasta, seafood and desert. The meal was perfectly paced. Highly recommend.

We were recommended this place by our driver and it did not disappoint. The seafood risotto was amazing! we also started with the caprese and some rose to drink. Unfortunately it was a windy day so the plastic was down so we could at least still enjoy the view but not as spectacular as i'm sure it would be on a clear day.

Had a lovely dinner on the beautiful patio. Very friendly owner, wife and daughter made us feel welcome. We both ordered a pasta dish. My wife's fusilli was homemade and absolutely delicious, served in a red sauce with eggplant. I had spaghetti with olives, tomato and capers. Waiter provided generous heap of parmigiana. Local region house wine was good pour and delicious (both the white and the red). Good price. Can't wait to return.

Excellent lunch place on the water. With boats, beach goers and sealife all right over the balcony. Open air but covered. The food was wonderful - the catch of the day was a sea bass that turned out the be the best I have ever had. The staff is very nice and attentive. It was under 200 euro for 4 people with everything you could possibly eat. It was a perfect lunch for our Amalfi coast trip. Our private driver recommended this to us and we were rewarded using his expertise.

Delicious sea bass in lemon sauce.

A beautiful spot on the sea, looking back towards Amalfi. Delicious simple food. My wife and I shared the seafood risotto - fabulous deep flavour and perfectly cooked rice. Then an expertly grilled seabass with cherry tomato and rocket salad. And to finish a light lemon tiramisu. We drank a bottle of falanghina, a great local wine. As the sun set the lights started twinkling along the cliff side and the silvery full moon shone across the sea. Heavenly.

The food was just okay and way over priced, but the view from their balcony was quite lovely. We wouldn't suggest it.

Food was just okay. Service was horrible. Unfriendly staff. Be aware that they also charge you a 3.5 Euro per person service fee. We've been traveling in Italy for 12 days and this was the first restaurant that charges such a high service fee for really bad service.

Picturesque lunch on the water. I had Escarole with shrimps and fresh fish. Pasta and clams for my husband. This place was great. The wine was wonderful. Service was excellent!!!! The prices were mostly reasonable except a few things.... I would have tried the fish chowder but it was 100€ for two people. The lobster was also expensive 150€. Atmosphere could not be better though even in the rain we sat outside in covered area still seeing the beautiful ocean.

Great location by the waterfront and we sat outside with heaters, listening to the sea. great wine list, and very good seafood pasta, all made to order and plated in front of you. Great service.

Wonderful lunch along the Amalfi coast, filled with fresh flavours and fine Mediterranean vistas. The lemon sea bass was wonderful and light, the spaghetti alla vongole was cooked perfectly and not fishy. Lemon Tiramisu and espresso to finish off.

This restaurant was just breathtaking. Amazing views! Especially the food and the service. The desert was from a local around the area which was magnificent. If you're around the area PLEASE visit. Well worth every penny.

Service was spectacular, the locals were so much fun and the food was amazing. It was probably one of the best places we found so far on our Italy trip. The Scialatielli with smoked mozzarella and eggplant was our fave and we aren't vegetarians! I, highly, recommend this hidden gem.

Worst meal I've had in Italy. Left starving after spending 30 euro on two bites of fish stew. Tourist trap, DO NOT GO! No really don't understand the Yelp rating. Someone must have paid handsomely for it.
