I had dinner here with my family the last 2 evenings. It was fantastic. The service was great, the food was sensational. The waiters were both friendly & attentive … it’s one of my favourite restaurant experiences ever (& I’m fussy).

We had the special: tuna fish, then from the normal menu: the fried veal and fried fish. Didn't really need a starter or pasta, the portion was big enough for us all. Was tasty. A bit expensive, but we are visiting a posh bit of Italy, so no surprise. Happy enough.

Underwhelming all around. Pizza sauce tasted like tomato soup from a can. House wine bitter. Take a pass and keep walking.

Buono! Buonissimo! We had a truly wonderful authentic experience with wonderful food and great service! Two nights in a row, didnt want to risk going to another place. Try it! You wont regret! Decent prices!

Total Tourist Trap. Fee for seating. Our cab driver brought us here. Below average food for Italy (which is a high bar, admittedly) Pasta undercooked, pizza not up to the quality in Naples for half the price. Some dishes seemed incomplete. But the view right in the center of the port is fantastic!

Pleasant atmosphere the Italian way at Ristorante Pizzeria Da Gennaro. Overlooking the port and mountains over the bay, dinner starts at 7p, the place is filling up quickly and we didn't disappoint as their pastas are really authentic and origin. Grilled Sea Brean - juicy and soft-tender. Prices are reasonable with roughly 25 Euro/pax without wines. Recommended.

Da Gennaro is by far my favorite authentic osteria in Santa Margherita. We visited the place on multiple occasions and have never been disappointed. As a vegan and frutti di mare enthusiast, I recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly, as the chefs are very capable to adjust the menu selection to your needs. Located in a beautiful place with a view of the little square and the sea, it’s a wonderful spot for a long lunch or aperitivo. When it’s the right season you must try porcini mushrooms. Both - sautéed in white wine with garlic and oven baked - are a delicious combination of texture, taste and aroma. Good wine selection too. Five stars!

Great dinner last night - needed a last minute option and this place was cranking. We had a large party and a member of our group had severe allergies. The manager knew exactly what to do and seated us within 15 minutes. A relatively short 2 hour dinner for Italian standards but enjoyed the experience and the staff - most importantly, took care our person with allergies and knew how to handle that situation. Food was good, atmosphere was a little loud being next to the road but had an ocean view.

When it's around 8 pm and you are hungry, you go to Yelp and look for reviews in the area. In this part of Italy, there aren't many Yelpers. So one actually goes to the various restaurants and peruse their offerings outside. We chose Da Gennaro. The restaurant was quite busy and as a result, the service was slow. Bread and breadsticks were on the table already, so I ate most of them up, having been quite hungry. My bro & I both ordered the same dish: Spaghetti Cartoccio. It consisted of spaghetti with a variety of seafood. Yum. I gave it 3 stars due to staff inefficiency and stale bread.

After wandering the streets to buy underwear, we were desperately hungry. Oh yeah, the third day without our luggage. United lost it and they still claim its coming. BTW try to find underwear in a resort town, €80 shirts no problem. Sorry. Plenty of restaurants to choose from we perused the menu and decided to go here. It was quite busy and we took an outdoor table. We both ordered spaghetti al mare. This entrée was very good and it came out hot. It consisted of pasta with a marechiara sauce with mussels, clams, shrimp, and calamari; and plenty of it. Only entrée complaint was the sauce was a bit too salty and the shellfish tasted frozen, not fresh. Service was another issue. We asked the waiter for oil and balsamic for our bread. There was no butter on the table, finally got his attention and he never brought it. Had to grab it off an adjacent table. A few other faux pas as well. I have to say we got the impression that they wanted us to vacate the table ASAP to make room for the next diners. They certainly acted like it. Bottom line decent food, poor service.

Service was fast, friendly, great food, great service, great price. The house wine is tasty! English was spoken there. Excellent Italian style pizza! it's clean (the bathroom is upstairs).

Made the mistake of stopping into first place I saw.. huge mistake, everything from the food to the service was pathetic!! Im pretty sure no locals eat there. The pasta was in the same level as a typical high school cafeteria. On top of poor food, it was extremely hot due to heater.. a couple of waiters just shrugged iff turning it down or moving it! This place benefits from its location and non repeat business of tourist!

Pizzaria. Food was fine, Service was good. Price ok.

I had a very nice pizza here for lunch, and was impressed enough to come back for lunch again the next day. I had a nice plate of spaghetti. It was reasonably priced, in a sidewalk café area. I can recommend them for lunch. I've been there twice, and the food was good both times, and the price was reasonable.
