Ristorante Pizzeria Lido La Sirenetta

The Lido is absolutely worth visiting. A wonderful Argentinian gent runs the small food and equipment kiosk. Two beds and an umbrella for just 10 Euros. The beach is so peaceful and the water is shallow and a nice temp.

We had a late lunch, around 4pm. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful. We had an “octopus salad” and a “Mediterranean spaghetti”.

Decent place, they speak English, the food is good, there is a great view and they accept cards. Porto Palo is a very quiet place!

To avoid. My family and I arrived at 9:30pm, we have been served at 00:30am. I shouldn’t have to add anything as it is already enough to prove how poor is the service. On top of that, the food is really low cost for typical italian dishes such as pasta and pizza… We have been asking at least 10 times for our order, to which any waiter would answer « yes it’s ready in ten minutes » and that for 2 hours. No need to test the experience yourself, as you will be disappointed.

I just LOVE this place! Menfi is famous for bad restaurants, it’s a marvelous place with notoriously bad management: bad service, bad food, slow and impolite. So this place - with its nice waiters and waitresses, perfect location (Porto Palo beach) and its playground on the sand - deserves to be noticed and acknowledged. I see parents relaxing while their kids are playing (even without speaking the same language, the restaurant is very international). My son is watching the Euro Final Italy-Spain on an outdoor flat TV and we’ve just finished our dinner. The pizza is great here (pasta to be improved on, less garlic, more pasta would help). Service is efficient and attentive and the evening is fresh and a dream. Yes, this place is up to high standards in the ‘Menfitano’.
