We travel and eat in many places and countries. We love all types of food. My husband and I tried Sabatini’s today after reading some very good reviews and thought we would try it. We did not have a reservation during their busy Sunday afternoon but they seated us quickly anyway. Service was exceptional! Despite our limited Italian speaking, they were polite, friendly and made sure our order was correct by sending a waiter who had better English knowledge. From start to finish, the food was exceptional. The foccocia bread, amuse bouche, polenta starter, lamb ( the most tender and tasty I have had anywhere) and Truffle Pasta ( 4 types) platter were served timely and presented beautifully. The restaurant was packed with locals and I can understand why. We were surprised to find this gem in Spoleto. This is a restaurant you want to try! :))

Well, what can we say about the fabulous food, wine and service. We were here two years ago and I am so happy to be back. The experience was just as wonderful last night as it was 2 years ago. So wonderful in fact we made another reservation for Thursday night. There are just so many things on the menu that I have to try. Ricardo, the owner and who also serves and his beautiful wife who is the chef along with their unbelievable staff are like watching a live theatre group. They move with ease and are having fun. This is a must for lunch or dinner but make a reservation and just sit and enjoy. Five stars are not enough.

We couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough. The service was attentive, friendly and generous — with extra focaccia (which was lovely) and mini meringues given to us whilst we waited for our seconds and dessert. We got some face time with the chef when she came out once our mains were delivered to douse the homemade sauce on my partner’s guinea fowl which added a nice personal touch. Both meats we ordered were cooked exquisitely, the guinea fowl and the lamb. We shared a tiramisu which they kindly split onto two separate plates (but of course keeping their adventurous presentation front of mind!) For our short stay near Spoleto, we have even considered coming back a second time, which is not something we usually do. Thank you again for a wonderful experience at your beautiful restaurant.

A beautifully appointed restaurant in Spoleto with some great regional dishes. If you’re here during asparagus season, be sure to try the pasta dishes with the asparagus. Otherwise, as this is a region known for their truffles and meat, you cannot go wrong with pasta dishes with truffle, beef carpaccio or beef tartare (though the meat likely comes from Piemonte because this is where the best meat for tartare comes from in Italy). Be sure to reserve in the garden, weather permitting. The vegetable sides are fantastic and definitely worth a shot. One thing I didn’t try but would highly recommend trying is the prosciutto as it is a local prosciutto. This is a must try when in the area. In Umbria si mangia bene - thank you to the great staff for a wonderful evening.

Lunch walk in, greeted by a warm and cozy atmosphere. Had the daily special Prix Fix 3 Tortellini board and couple glasses of local wine. Asked to exchange the Wild Boar for the Ricotta lemony mint tortellini menu item with no problem, all mouthfuls of flavors. Excellent service. Lovely interior patio (not in use), also had an interesting child’s play and nap room.

Simply an amazing experience, incredible umbrian cuisine in a warm atmosphere of a traditional family restaurant. All the dishes were excellent and varied. It was so good we had to come back the next day again for dinner.

Very good dining experience. We had sliced beef in cheese and pistachio sauce, beef fillet cooked with herbs, and tiramisu. They all tasted delicious and fresh. The food plating and presentation were also pleasant. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended 👍🏻
