Came here for a group dinner so review might be slightly skewed. The seafood risotto is great especially with the Parmesan cheese provided. Calamari tasted fresh but a little too greasy. Apparently they ran out of tiramisu at the end… the cake we had tasted like pure sugar and it was hard…

My hotel recommended this restaurant and as one who actually lives in Italy, I found it to be over priced, serving mediocre food, and crammed with tourists. The scallop starter was rubbery and over cooked, the spaghetti vongole decent, with a generous number of clams, but the cheese plate was the most disappointing. Normally, being served a cheese plate is a presentation, with each regional cheese being described. Last night they plopped down a plate of common supermarket cheeses without ceremony. Typically, if a meal is lack luster, the bread and house wine will be decent, but no, the bread was stale, the white overly sweet and I had ordered Prosecco, not a white wine.

Great restaurant. We came here for a lunch. Quiet terrace with excellent service. Carbonara was really delicious. Tiramisu was okay but I’ve already had better one.

Good Italian restaurant with fast and friendly service. Some say it's overpriced but I'd say that everything in Venice is overpriced. This place is actually nice not like many others here.

A hidden gem in Venice. Very sweet staff, our waiter was truly amazing and swift with the service. The food and drinks were delicious! Definitely try their scallops and the fried seafood dish. The desserts were yummy as well! Definitely check it out :)

Amazing dishes, very fresh ingredients and above all the staff 10 out of 10 hospitality and proffesionalism!

Google
Found this restaurant because it was so close to our hotel. They had the best Branzino dish for 2. They cook the fish whole, then bring the cooked fish to your table and show you the fish and then they filet the fish and split it for 2. The fish melted in your mouth like butter. Served with vegetables that were very tasty and had a great sauce on it. It is a very large dish and more than enough for 2. This dish was so amazing, We went back a second time just to finish off a great vacation with an amazing dish. All the dishes we all tried were fantastic. The staff were very nice and fun when they had time to slow down, they even got into playing around with everyone at the table adding to the enjoyment of the evening. They have lots of space. Lots of room to accommodate everyone but best to have reservations on busy weekends. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone at anytime.

Google
It's the most beautiful restaurant in Venice. The food was extraordinary and the People very beautiful. Must try Tiramisu

Yelp
Atmosphere is wonderful and the service is great. Many locals there and only handful of tourists. So you know it's a better place to try. The clam and mussels appetizer is a must. It was so good and got so many especially for the price point. The bigoli with seafood was okay. There was a lot of fish bones in it and since it was baked some noodles were hard and burnt and others were delightful. So it was a mix. Wouldn't order it again as overall taste was okay.. nothing bad but nothing amazing Didn't order dessert but the menu wasn't impressive and ones on display didn't look like we were missing anything.

Yelp
We had a reservation for inside made by my hotel concierge. When we arrived we were directed to an hour door table and told they were sold out. There was practically no one there at that point. Outside it was hot and caused for an unpleasant experience. We just wanted to quickly eat and leave. The staff never smiled or really seemed to care.

Yelp
I was looking for some seafood, and decided to come here for dinner. Food was great. I ordered the seafood plate with different kind of shell fish and fish crisp fried serving in a huge plate. The quality was great, freshly ocean taste which was not overly salted at all. Their pasta was yummy too, I truly think that Italian pasta is the best in the world. I honestly dont think that anything on their menu would be under par. The service here was so friendly, the waiter was attentive and always smiling. I felt welcome here and the family style atmosphere makes it casual enough to just chill with friend and enjoy a great time. I had been there twice during my stay in Venice. And most certainly I will return again in the future, and will try out other items on the menu.

Yelp
Primarily a fish restaurant (fish menu is expensive), it does have a small number of standard pasta and meat dishes (which are priced about the same as othervlocal places). I had linguini with pesto sauce, and it was quite good. The sauce was creamy and flavorful but was a bit salty. I also had the chicken cutlet, which was very good. It was quite a large cutlet, lightly bread and fried just right. It was served with French fries, which made for quite a large meal. The bread was uninspired.

Yelp
Came here accidentally mistaking it for Taverna San Trovaso and ended up having a pretty good dinner. I got the lobster pasta with the "whole" lobster - I quote it because it was a lobster tail, but it was very small. The sauce was very good and the fiance also thought his pesto pasta was not too shabby. This was our first dinner in Venice and where we were introduced to the idea that the tables all have bread sticks! There is an interior room as well as an outside area which becomes covered and doubles as an inside area. It's loud though because of the echo even though there were not too many people in that area with us. Service was ok. The waiter we had later on was very nice. The tiramisu was not bad. They have a cover charge.

Yelp
The food was so so so yummy and we thought the prices were actually very reasonable. I am surprised it had a 3 euros and not just 2. Anyways, my husband and I shared a liter of the house Prosecco, delicious! And the clam and mussel appetizer. I then got the cutterfish and squid ink spaghetti (good but a little more adventurous than I will probably do again). He order the clam spaghetti. Everything was so yummy! The ambiance wasn't quite what I would call wonderful, it's a little cafeteria like with just a large open room and bright lighting. But don't let the deter you!

Yelp
Good restaurant, not great. Possible we just got a night of poor service from a great restaurant though. We were staying at an AirBNB nearby and decided to come here for dinner and while some dishes were fantastic (get the prosciutto e melone and gnocchi formaggi) other dishes left you wanting something else and the ordering mistakes were probably the most annoying part. We got the caprese (amazing mozzarella), prosciutto e melone (tonight's winner), bruschetta (tasty tomato, nice olive twist, great garlic though not enough basil) and tuna tartare (also very good! to start and asked for 2 of each and only received one of everything except two caprese. We asked them to bring the rest out which could have been our downfall. When we got to the main dish my girlfriend and I had ordered grilled mixed fish and from some mix-up they brought us fried mixed fish (tempura style assortment of different seafood) which was okay but you don't order mixed fish to taste fried food. The lobster was killer and I am a sucker for calamari but it was only so so. Overall from a convenience standpoint we may go back as its a block away and food was decent but make extra sure they have your order right.

Yelp
Pretty good seafood, recommended by our local gondola man! He was so nice and funny, actually led us to the restaurant when we bumped into him again, venice can be a little tricky to navigate as you all know! Venice is an amazing place though, so unique and different than anything I've seen; how this city runs is fantastic. This is definitely away from the crowds. Anyways the service here was very good, the waiters were all helpful and helped up with recommendations on what we should get! Of course ordered a bottle of wine. I didn't like the bread here, wasn't fresh. Capesante al brandy (scallops in brandy) (4.5 stars)- The one I got was perfectly cooked and had great flavor, my cousin said hers was overcooked though & that can def kill a seafood dish. Turbot branzino for two (4 stars)- We thought we might be OK with them just bringing it out whole for us (head-on), but later decided maybe they ought to de-bone & filet it for us haha. Good idea- since we were all clueless on what to do & didn't want to get all messy. This can get cool really fast, and it was less than warm when we got it :( The fish was local and they recommended it to us, really fresh and I liked it. Tagliatelle lobster (4 stars)- This was good, def a fan of lobster and lobster sauce, I would recommend this dish for sure! My cousin loved this and she orders it overtime she sees it haha. Creme brûlée (3 stars)- Nothing special at all about this, came in a container. Overall good food and good experience with seafood in Venice, I couldn't say if it was the best seafood place in Venice though, I would have to come back and try a lot more places ;)

Yelp
Food: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Cleanliness: 3/5 Decor & Style: 4/5 I ordered the hosh posh of seafood pasta and it was not-bad. Nothing spectacular as I've tried much better seafood pasta elsewhere. Very nice backyard patio and an excellent environment to relax for a long evening/or lunch. In terms of food I would not return, but might return for the patio.

Yelp
So so good. Tried there seafood soup but it was too salty for my taste. There service is good. My wife's food was also too salty. Let's hope they improve.

Yelp
I'm very impressed with this restaurant!! Not only was the service excellent, the food was premium and very fair prices!! Price wise,to many Italian restaurants, your wallet will exhale! A table of 8 with 4 litres of wine , red and white. Each had 2 courses and an after dinner drink or coffee, after and the price was at an incredible, low 300 euros! Wow!! I will be back! Menu is huge and lots of great choices!! Try it out!!!

Yelp
Great place to get away from the crowds. Food is excellent and decently priced for Venice. Be aware that like in most restaurants in Venice, a service fee (coperto) is charged (2€ pp). In my opinion one should consider this the tip or part of the tip. Since this is a Venetian restaurant, we stuck to the Italian/Venetian dishes (see photos). Appetizers: For meat lovers try the Bresaola con rucola e grana (Dried salt beef with rocket salad and parmesan cheese); The Octopus salad is also really good. As first courses we had the Scampi with mushroom pasta and the lobster ravioli . There are side plates of vegetables that one can order and a 'tourist menu' / set menu at the back with done non Italian dishes. I would not recommend the tourist menu.

Yelp
The food was refrigerator-cold! They heated it twice , and it was still warm.... meaning the food is not fresh.

Yelp
We were recommended this restaurant by a local. After reading the menu we saw numerous things that we would like to eat so ended up picking the 3 course menu (€22.00pp) My first meal was the spaghetti with mussels and white wine sauce and it was brilliant. My wife got the lasagne, also fantastic. If we had stopped then this would also be a 5 star review. However my next course was steak and fries. Well my steak was actually a chicken fillet that was butterflied and grilled. That was a let down. My side ordered the roast chicken and roast potatoes, again nothing special about the dish with no real flavour. Finally dessert, I had Creme caramel it was ok but can tell it was prepared much earlier as the custard wasn't very nice. Wifey has the tiramisu and only had 2 bites before leaving the rest. So my advice is stick with their pastas, they are to die for. The rest not so much.

Yelp
Perfect lunch. Just off the beaten path enough to dissuade the maddening crowd of tourists. The menu is plenty robust, offering something for when you're a little tired of seafood. (Although the seafood is still excellent!) Dining ala fresca on the patio was delightful in late September, and the free Wifi made for a nice place to push Facebook notifications to all your jealous friends back home!

Yelp
After trying to find a number of other places for lunch that were closed or offered no seating, we happened upon this ristaurante, and we are glad we did. We had the house white wine to accompany spaghetti with clams and a spaghetti pesto. The spaghetti was perfectly done, and the clams were fresh. We followed this with a mixed seafood grill which included eel, cuttlefish, monkfish, tuna, sea bass, salmon and tuna and this also was excellent. The French fries were probably frozen, but we should knew better than to go to Italy and order fries! Our mistake. We might as well complain about the vegan offerings. We appeared to be the only non Italian or Spanish customers for lunch today.

Yelp
With a sad heart I have to critique this place, ironically with their own wifi. The food was great, I had the spaghetti alla carbonara and it was very tasteful. I mixed now with some battered spinach and that really made the dish pop. For my girlfriend, who's a vegan, it was a little different. When we asked to simply get some spaghetti and vegetable the waiter said NO. He did not want to make his way to accommodate us with our wishes. He did not look us in the eyes and probably had a bad day. Non the less I am very experienced in the restaurant business and also opinionated. Great for non vegans expecting less service.

Yelp
Decided to follow the advice on getting away from the crowds. Ambiance wise, nothing great though quite and away from the hustle and bustle of Venice. Food was quite good, I ordered a carbonara and thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was average.

Yelp
We had a great meal our last night in Venice. We thought pricing reasonable for Venice standards. Was close to our B&B.

Yelp
Tucked away behind l'accademia and not to be confused with taverna san trovaso (nearby). We ordered the carpaccio as a starter which was very tasty. For main courses we ordered the black pasta (squid ink) and the tagliatelle with mushrooms. Both pastas were excellent, the black pasta did not have any fishy smell or taste and had the right touch of salt. The tagliatelle was creamy and a hint of bacon. I had the panna cotta for desert. I've had it abroad before and was expecting a pudding-like texture but their panna cotta was of heavier consistency. It was good but personally prefer the lighter finish. They have an outside patio and inside setting. It was rainy when we came so we went inside. Because of its location the restaurant is spacious and has a good atmosphere. Highly recommend it for dinner.
