Ristorante Sangre Rojo

Wow! What an amazing experience. The restaurant is situated on top of the mountain with a perfect sunset view. In addition to the great view, the food was perfect. The staff is so unbelievably kind and welcoming. They truly embody what hospitality is all about. We loved it so much, we came back two nights in a row. Oh…and be sure to get the tiramisu!! So amazing.

A tuly special place. We recently had a magical evening at Sangre Rojo. From the moment of our arrival, Hector looked after us and made my husband’s 60th birthday really special. First we enjoyed delicious Aperitifs and appetisers on the terrace, whilst taking in the sunset and the most amazing view looking out towards Salina, Filicudi, and Alicudi. Then later, inside the restaurant, with it's charming decor, and lovely ambiance we enjoyed the most delicious food and Sicilian wine. Each dish we had was beautifully presented and full of flavour. Hector was attentive, funny and so warm and friendly we felt like we had become friends by the end of the evening. Thank you very much to Hector and the wonderful chef and owner Nunzia, for making my husbands birthday so memorable! It would be lovely to come again!

Service and food were excellent. The location is superb if you're a big sunset fan. Portions are Okey, not as filly as you'd hope for, maybe the only thing that can be improved. Family run restaurant. Pricewise it is above average on the island. I'd go back. From London with Love ❤️

Fantastic restaurant. The food is amazing, the waiter is very nice. It's a bit pricey but really worth it. As starters we took the octopus soup and the tuna tartare, both were amazing. Then we had the risotto which was also really nice. You also really have to eat the bread with the great olive oil they provide. We didn't have desserts as we were full but they offered us some glasses of excellent Malvasia.

The best restaurant in Lipari island. Reaaly incredible experience😍the view is spectacular (the island, the landscape, the sunset, wow), the food is amazing, the service is great. The real gem of this restaurant is Hector. He is so kind,gentle, helpful and nice. He makes the experience to be just perfect.😍he is the best. This is not a restaurant , is a vibe!😍you must come here when you are in Lipari. And you must try canollo, the best ever. Superbissimo😍thank you for the nicest experience.✨

Beautiful view. The nicest and most professional waiter we had so far in 2 weeks holidays in Sicily. Drinks were perfect. Just the food…it was oily, even the raw tuna . Pasta had no taste and again was full of oil. The fish was just disappointing. I’d go there again for drinks anytime. But the food was really not good. Prices are high so think twice.

Beautifully situated on the slopes of the old volcano, perfect views of the sunset. Small inside seating area, so a reservation is definitely recommended. The terrace is perfect for a sun downer apperetivo. Fast and friendly waiters. The Food was on a high standard, but not outstanding. Bring a jacket, it gets quite chilly after dark, even in summer.

The location is priceless: one of the best sunsets of the island of Lipari, but this one comes with great staff and great food as well. Don't miss their "tartare di tonno" on it's bed of avocados. I didn't particularly like the pasta with pesto (pesto was not garlicky enough and the pasta used doesn't compare to the ligurian's trofie), but the main course "pesce spada alla eoliana" was deliciously rich and colourful. The wine selection, especially those by the glass (they only serve one white... *sigh*), deserves to be improved, with such richness offered by Sicily in this field. After all, a very pleasant evening with an incredible sunset, a nice atmosphere and very good food.
