Ristorante Tullio a Montebeni

I wanted a restaurant out of Florence city center. Unfortunately, for 2 days in Florence, i was completely disappointed in the food and service. Generally, food was under expectations, service is not good and prices were high. But this is not true with Tullio. Firstly, the road up to the restaurant was interesting and allowed us to explore more of Florence than we normally would. Although we dropped on them without reservation on a Friday night, we were seated. People were very friendly. We had their classic starters which were massive and delicious. We thought we ordered one but 2 were served, probably a miscommunication. We had a classic steak and a spaghetti with red sauce which were very good. Cheese cake was delicious. Now i know that the restaurants in the city center are mostly overrated and only made for tourists.

A true Tuscany delight. Had a wonderful Tuscan experience. The food was absolutely delicious. The staff were very kind and helpful. Had a tasty and sumptuous meal italiano style.

I have been coming to this restaurant for more than 30 years. The food is amazing and the staff also amazing. A gem in the hills outside Firenze.

We had a really good experience coming here, the food was really good, from the starters to the steak and the desserts. The service was great and the selection of wines was varied. I definitely recommend getting the steak if you happen to visit. I will definitely be coming back at some point

Asked my hotel in Florence for a place for dinner that we would not be one of a million tourists…well they made good! Shouldn’t do this but we were the only American’s in the place which was full of locals having dinner on a Sunday night and really having a good time. That said, the food was incredible, will come back to have the grilled bistecca but the fried bistecca was WONDERFUL, speciality of the house. Food was great and the service was equal. Here is the deal ….it is a 30-45 minute taxi ride out of the center of Florence (and back) so you need to add that into your evening. Well worth the trip . Will be back!

Very big positions. You kan order one portions of all the courses for two people and share. It is very good quality of meat dashes.

Lovely restaurant nestled in the hills of Florence. The service was fast, and they brought us our next course without missing a beat. All the food we ordered was delicious and of excellent quality. The veil loin I ordered was the best I've ever had, it was perfectly cooked and melted in my mouth. Truly an excellent culinary experience. Also the prices were more then fair. Some of the staff were also bilingual which was a big help.

I had a great experience. Food was really good and the quality of the ingredients impeccable. Portions were generous and we struggled to finish all the dishes. I would strongly suggest to go for 'pici' with ragù, they were fabulous. Staff was friendly and helpful and even the owner came to our table more than once to talk to us and keep my children entertained. The atmosphere is not the best one for a romantic dinner, rather a great place for some big numbers meal with friends. I will definitely come back cause there are so many options I want to try. Quality against price..... definitely worth it. It's cheap compared to what you get!
