Google
- we loved the atmosphere and energy from this place - the servers were friendly and helpful. you can tell they enjoy working there. they were humorous and energetic - the food is amazing! so delicious! - we ordered the baby octopus, seafood risotto and white wine mussels - we did find the portions to be quite big. its great for sharing, especially when you go with a large family and have a family-style dinner - we were planning to go back for lunch 2 days later, but they were closed for lunch and only opened for dinner. so be sure to call/check. it showed they were open on Google maps, but it was incorrect.

We had a great lunch at Z’Netonio while staying in the Sorrento area. The service was very good and we even got to see the chef making fresh pasta in the kitchen, which was a nice touch. We ordered several pasta dishes with seafood — all were fresh and flavorful. For starters, we had the eggplant parmesan and the zucchini flowers stuffed with arugula. Both were excellent and beautifully prepared. One thing that stood out was being asked at the end if we wanted to leave a tip. That’s not typical in Italy, especially with the cover charge already included, but I understand it’s a very touristy area. Still, it caught me a bit off guard. Overall, the food and service were very good, and we had a pleasant experience. Worth a visit if you’re in Sorrento.

Literally so good. The portion sizes are huge for a great price so come hungry. For appetizers got the eggplant and fried zucchini flowers (the flowers were only 6 euros!). Got the shrimp and angel hair in cheese basket, mixed seafood pasta, and linguine with clams. They were all SOO good. The shrimp dish is more of a shrimp alfredo with a nice twist to the dish. We got to the restaurant about when they were closing for lunch but they happily let us in. Felt a little rushed but it was fine. You need to come here!!! (Also this used to be a Michelin restaurant)

Big place. Waiters were very good. Very professional and efficient. Food was delicious. The tomato pizza bread starter is very good. It's basically bruschetta on a pizza base. The dough is delicious.

Google
We made a reservation for two people and we had to. The restaurant was very packed. The staff are very attentive and friendly. We were quite hungry and had a Margheriata pizza as an appetizer. The pizza was again not a classic Napoletan pizza but it was very tasty. The base was not too thick and not too thin, the crust was very crispy but not fluffy. For our main course, we had risotto with mussels and gnocchi with pumpkin sauce. The risotto was excellent, the only missing ingredient was a little salt. The gnocchi were superb. We shared a tomato salad and grilled vegetables as a side dish. The price is a little higher, but it's worth it.

We enjoyed a great meal and drinks here at Zi Antonio. We staff were so friendly and helpful and seemed happy to be there. It added to our pleasure to be around them. We especially enjoyed the stuffed zucchini flowers, Caprese salad and fresh pasta seafood with baby clams. The wine suggestion was right on… delicious and very reasonably priced. We’re here in Sorrento for a month and this has been our favorite of all the restaurants we’ve visited.

Google
This meal was so good! I enjoyed every bite full of flavor and really well prepared. I have to admit the service was a bit slow, but everything else was just perfect. Definitely worth it.

Google
Summer, 2024 The service and hospitality were at top, recommended us the signature dishes, from seafood plate, risotto to Taglioini in crust, our stomachs were full of joy. Lastly, the lemon cake was divine, we're happy that we accepted the recommendation to have the lemon cake even we're very full, it filled us with the scent of Sorrento.

Yelp
Our second meal at Zi'Antonio. Frankly, it's so good we may not go anywhere else. The place opens at 1800 hours and gets full quickly. Tonight I had the stuffed zucchini flowers and the Tagliatelle with Porcini mushrooms. The zucchini flowers were stuffed with mozzarella and ricotta, battered and fried. They were hot and crunchy and creamy and delicious. The pasta was amazing. I could eat it every day. Big pieces of porcini mushrooms in a velvety sauce that lightly coated the fresh tagliatelle. OMG. My wife had the fresh grilled sea bass which was presented whole and then filleted and served atop sautéed eggplant and zucchini. Another stellar dish. Service is prompt and friendly. They serve two kinds of bread before the meal (fresh Italian bread and what they call 'pizza bread') and both are difficult to resist despite knowing that pasta is on its way. If you're in Sorrento, this is a must!

Yelp
While I loved the friendly service enough to return for my next meal at the same restaurant elsewhere, this was more of a refined dining experience rather than a homey one. The skill of preparation was superior, and the prices were not crazy for the location. Servers were professional rather than super friendly (but they were still nice), but the food was the best prepared meal we've had so far, and even the bread was the best of the restaurants we've dined at the whole trip. It was actually good/fresh, instead of just there.

Yelp
We made a resso for 7:45 for a Monday and good thing we did. It was packed at that time and the restaurant is pretty big. To start, we had the appetizer with fresh mozzarella, anchovies, sundried tomatoes, olices, Sorrento lemon, and olive oil. This sounds like a really weird combo but everything worked very well together. The mozz helped balance out the acidity of the lemon, and the lemom helped cut the strong flavor of the anchovies. For the main, we had the veal scallopini, which comes with a side of grilled veggies, and the Pizza Nerano, which had zucchini flowers, zucchini, and basil. Don't be fooled by the looks of the veal. It doesn't look like the most appetizing dish in the world, but it was really good. It was perfectly cooked and drenched in this lemon sauce, which we ended up dipping everything else in. The grilled veggies were kind of a soggy mess but again, the lemon sauce helped it go down easier. The pizza was ok because I didn't love the zucchini since it was soggy. I did enjoy the zucchini flowers though. We also ordered this one by accident because we meant to get the one with the zucchini flowers and anchovies so maybe this was our fault. Service is good until you get your food. They don't come by to check on you to see if you want anything else. Since we had an early day the next morning and it was getting late, we knew we weren't going to do dessert so when we were almost done eating, we asked for the check. 20-30 minutes passed, and still no check or sign of our waiter. We ended up just getting up and paying at the front. We were kind of iffy about this restaurant at first because we weren't sure if it was a tourist trap or not. But the food turned out to be pretty good. It was just an issue of getting the bill. If you don't mind that, this is a good option in Sorrento.

Yelp
We tried this place for dinner last night with a group of seven people. We did not need a reservation, and the place was quite packed. They seated us immediately without any problems. The hostess was very kind in helping us to our seats. Our waiter was humorous and joked with us. I ordered the Black Angus steak medium-rare (the best way to have a steak). If you are ever in Naples, Italy, I recommend that you try this place.

Yelp
Best mussels I had in Sorrento! They were HUGE! Circling back to the appetizer--the calamari was amazing! The texture was perfect and the taste was fabulous. However, that's where the good stuff ended as the risotto was veryyy salty and the pizza was just okay.
google avatar

Yelp
What an absolutely amazing dining experience. I couldn't believe how incredible the food was, for little price. When you arrive, they will ask you if you have reservations. If you do not have a reservation, it will probably tell you that you need to go downstairs and they will give you a table number. When you walk down the flight of stairs, it opens up into seating area, but there's nowhere that tells you what seating table #s. I would just tell the server your number and they will get you seated or have you wait if they're still bussing the table. The food and the service was 10/10. Definitely living up to the high ratings that they have.

Yelp
Zi'Ntonio is located in the heart of Sorrento and is easily accessible from almost all areas of the city. They have a variety of dishes featuring seafood and other traditional dishes. We started by sharing the calamari, which was plentiful! Next, we split an order of zucchini blossoms which were hearty and rich. I loved the filling in the blossoms. Finally, I opened for the angel hair with zucchini blossoms, shrimp, and saffron for my main dish. It was extremely rich and flavorful. The only drawback is that it was quite a heavy sauce with a lot of mix-ins for such a fine pasta, but it was still delicious despite being a little tough to eat. Service was attentive, though this was our only restaurant in Italy where we felt a little pressured into tipping. Still, the meal was delicious and the vibe in the restaurant is authentic and traditional. Definitely worth a stop if you're in Sorrento.

Yelp
Ate here based off of recommendation from a family member and we were not disappointed. This place is down one of Sorrento's narrow streets. If you walked by quickly, you would miss it and it is just off Piazza Tasso. We were on a vacation in Sorrento this past July and did not have a reservation, thinking we could just walk right in, but the place was packed, however the owner gave us a table downstairs and from that point on the experience was magnificent. The staff were conpetant and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. Can't wait to go back. See pics.

Yelp
My far THE BEST pasta we ate. It came in a Parmesan cheese bowl!! We were STUFFED TO THE MAX. This place from the outside looks small but its grand and huge on the inside. We had pizza and pasta. The ONLY 2 things we ate for a week straight and we NEVER got tired. Service is efficient but not fast depending on the time. We happily exited and were immediately bombarded with a big group of tourists who couldn't find any open places to eat. I immediately hand walked them straight here. Your welcome

Yelp
Very mixed bag here as service was inconsistent but the seated us without a reservation. Our apps were solid. Our dinners were "good" - chicken, fish and lobster pasta. We ordered 2 desserts and both were below average. The table beside us was right under an AC vent in the ceiling that leaked water on their table all through their meal. Not a lot of ambiance here. I would go elsewhere for dinner.

Yelp
The restaurant was fantastic. All food was hot and delicious, our waiter was very attentive (and a bit funny too). Cost was very reasonable considering the quality and portions of the food. ANd the Lemon Delight & Chocolate profiteroles did not dissapoint either!
google avatar

Yelp
Great food, great service and a wonderful atmosphere. The lobster linguine was divine!! I definitely enjoyed all aspects of this restaurant. Highly recommended!!!

Bob M.

Yelp
Everything we ordered was delicious. The staff was very attentive with 4 different waiters serving our table. Our fish was deboned table side and was excellent.

Yelp
Not sure what the 3.5 stars is all about. This place was delicious, the staff was friendly and Google tells a different story from their 2900+ reviews........this place rocks Came here for the Gnocchi Alla Sorrentini and were treated to fresh, homemade pasta that was baked in a super flavorful tomato sauce with cheese infused to make it gooey and extra delicious. Tiramisu was creamy and delicious The room became jam packed right after we arrived. Thankful we were a bit early. This gnocchi was not to be missed 5 stars all the way

Yelp
We made reservations a day in advance after reading Google reviews. The restaurant is a lot bigger than expected with second levels. The food was great, but not spectacular. We have been eating all over Italy, so our expectations are high by this point..lol. My highlight was the pizza bread drizzle with olive oil. It was warm and crunchy - so delicious! The fried baby squid came in second because it's not a common dish. The waiters are very attentive and expects you to leave a tip by saying "service is not included". FYI - Tipping is not expected but appreciated. We left $10 euros.

Yelp
We truly enjoyed our dinner - and wine (1/2 bottle) of pizza . Was so perfect that an experienced guitarist played. Was so enjoyable would recommend for a casual dinner with atmosphere.

Soren A.

Yelp
Again, overly aggressive about adding table service. Is it just Sorrento? Not this aggressive in Naples or Positano.
google avatar

Jen L.

Yelp
Very reasonable prices in a great atmosphere. 3 floors with a great vibe and the pizza and gnocchi were amazing! Also recommend the zucchini flowers!

Paolo C.

Yelp
Food 10/10, Service 10/10, Atmosphere 10/10, value for the money 10/10! My wife and treated ourselves to this restaurant after returning by ferry from our trip to Positano. We ordered the calamari, anchovies and roasted cherry tomatoes for starter. The anchovies were delicious and the the batter from the calamari was so light and crispy, very delicious! I had the Scialatielli Allo Scoglio while my wife ordered the Gnocchi alla Sorrentina! Both dishes were fantastic and just bursting with flavor!! The next time we visit Sorrento, we will be stopping by this restaurant again!

Jeongmin K.

Yelp
Cockroach came out of dessert. The manager says "Sorry, it's a small bug." Left a Google review, and the manager now lies that it was a fly. Didn't ask for compensation, paid everything except for the dessert.
google avatar

Rachael S.

Yelp
The food was delicious but the service was mediocre. We were recommended to try the risotto which was as good as we were told. They have a great selection of seafood and fish entrees which is what we were looking for!
google avatar

Tracy K.

Yelp
Best restaurant from our trip! Thank you for the beautiful food and evening! A must place to experience!

yasamin m.

Yelp
Lovely place very cheap prices and best pizza Highly Recommend it Amazing staff and service

Antonio M.

Yelp
Unbelievable service, fantastic value, incredible food, the strawberry cake dessert was to die for. Fish was fresh catch and beautifully prepared. Highly recommend and very surprised it's not a top spot in Sorrento.
google avatar

Yelp
Don't come here if you are a single traveler. Attempted on two different occasions to come here. They said no reservation for a party of 1, I show up, people in front of me don't have reservations (party of 3), seated right away, I was next, asked how many in my party, and when I said 1 I was told a min of 2 hour wait.
google avatar

Kelly C.

Yelp
Went there on a rainy day because it is close to the city center. The food portion were big but tasted okay. The veal was very thin, chewy and maybe overcooked. The service was good but the waiter asked us for tip at the end. The couple at the table next to us being Canadians did not get the same treatment. They were not asked for tip.
google avatar

Francesca C.

Yelp
This is a tourist trap. Wait was very long to get a menu. Once seated it took a very long time to order our food. Food was just ok. They'll try to trick you to tip here. In Italia, its customary to not tip.

Edward S.

Yelp
Very friendly staff. The guitar player was playing Italian songs and my Italian wife started singing along. They noticed and we were off to a great evening. Good food and atmosphere all around.
google avatar

Vinnie M.

Yelp
So we wound up her on accident, but as with all things in life, Accidents happen. This place was great and we were so happy we went back the next night. First, this place is a classic Italian joint. Lots Of energy and a great vibe. Service is hot and miss, but that is Italy. Be ready to be asked about a tip (uncommon in Italy). So here are our orders, both nights combined. I had the Zuchinni Flowers the first night as an app and it was greasy but yummy. Filled with ricotta!!! The first night I had the veal and I would say it was good, not great. The white wine sauce was awesome, but the meat a bit tough....not awful but tough. The second night I had the Margarita pizza and OMG. The best!!! My wife had the same both nights. Eggplant side and bolognese pasta as a main. It was so fresh, so good and so filling. My daughter (12) had the Margarita pizza both nights and my daughter (16) had the fettuccine Alfredo. They finished it all and loved it. We had desert night one with the tiramisu for me and the wife and the lemon sorbet for one daughter. My other kid had the sponge cake. All were awesome. Overall the stars were the pasta and the cake, but it was all Good. Add lots of vino and it is a great time. Go!

Larry O.

Yelp
The food here was amazing. Starting with the bread, moving through the main courses and then the dessert. They recommended a nice bottle of local wine that was terrific. The staff was attentive and helpful. We are going back because you can't beat this place!
google avatar

Yelp
Day trip to Sorrento and our guide suggested as one of the places to eat. The restaurant is deceiving from the outside because the inside is a gorgeous two-story food palace. Our table started with the octopus (YUM!) and the zucchini flowers (they were in season and we ate these everywhere we went). Also had a pizza to start because we were starving. Entrees included seafood risotto (best I've ever had), salads and more pasta. We were too stuffed for dessert. Delicious authentic food. Enjoy!
google avatar

Yelp
Great find in Sorrento. Very lively place with Old World charm and alot of modern touches and art work. Thoroughly enjoyed the setting and the cuisine !
google avatar

Mad Martha N.

Yelp
Just off the square in side street. Came for dinner without reservations. Had a most wonderful spaghetti and clams. Not over powering with garlic, fresh ingredients, wonderful depth of flavor. Truly great pricing. Very attentive service. Would return when in area.
google avatar

Rai W.

Yelp
This place was recommended by our host and it did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and happy and the food was great. Loved the potato croquettes with the sausage, though the sausage seemed a bit over cooked, but delicious.

Shahab T.

Yelp
Outstanding Italian food, excellent ambiance and service!. Try the cod fish pesto starter, all dishes are exceptional. Large tables with very good spacing between the tables. Very reasonable prices and good wine selection. We will go back and will not hesitate to recommend. A

Joe W.

Yelp
It's American Italian food. If you're looking for an authentic place, it isn't here. The staff is very nice and all speak English. Store bought pasta but very approachable for English speakers.

Chris P.

Yelp
Wonderful service and fantastic food. We laughed when our waiter apologized after the bottle of wine he recommended was $30 vs the $22 bottle... possibly most delicious mussels and seafood risotto ever. Can't recommend enough.
google avatar

Clarissa L.

Yelp
This is a touristy place in sorrento as it's in a prime location and they even have a pre fixed menu they call "the turista menu". We were in sorrento in mid February and this was one of the only places open so we stopped by to give it a try. We opted for the turista menu with an appetizer entree and dessert. The mussels were fresh but extremely salty. The lamb entree was chewy and gamey. We also had the fried shrimp and calamari and unfortunately I've had seafood in a cone that's tasted better. The portion sizes were large and you will be well fed if you get the pre fixe menu, but the food is just average. As other reviews have said, they do come around to all tables and tell you that service charge is not included, and if you pay with card they ask you how much you want to add which is kind of awkward. We saw some tables not add anything and the waiters kind of made a face at them.

Julia S.

Yelp
Not only did we love all the food, but the waitstaff was incredible. Alessandro provided the best recommendations and was super attentive to us. A local recommended this to us, telling us that they all go here after work. It greatly exceeded our expectations. Top meal in my life.
google avatar

Valentin B.

Yelp
The Favola pizza was the best we ever had. Mortadella, pistachio and mozzarella with the best dough ever.

Arch P.

Yelp
This was one of the worst meals I've ever had in Italy! Recommended squid was like rubber bands, even the buffalo mozzarella in the Caprese salad was chewy. Given the clientele I think they only cater tourists, so nobody repeats. Steer clear, I had better street food early in the day.
google avatar

Selena Y.

Yelp
Definitely a tourist spot but the food is decent for the amount and price. My group of four each had the three course tourist menu (choice of appetizer, entree, and the daily dessert) plus a glass of wine, which all came out to a total of €85. We think there might have been some preferential treatment to locals - we were clearly seated in a separate section with other tourists and the other tables across the room received complimentary pizza bread when we weren't offered any. We were also surprised when the waiter said there was a charge for balsamic vinegar! Every other restaurant we've been to in Italy provided this to us for free. Despite this, the food still tasted pretty good, but there are better restaurants in the area.

Yelp
Our second time dining at this charming Italian restaurant on the narrow street of Villa Luigi de Maio in Sorrento. Last year we dined in the cellar, which was an awesome experience; brick lined walls with lots of arches and a very cozy atmosphere. Today we dined upstairs and was seated at a table next to the arch window facing Villa Luigi de Maio. The wait staff is extremely attentive and we struck up interesting conversation regarding my request for "fette di limone" for my "still water". For those that do not understand Italian or know about Sorrento, well let's put it this way - Sorrento must have put lemons on the map in ancient times because nowhere else int he world can you find this abundantly large citrus fruit! After traveling from Milano to Brussels and to Naples aboard Brussels Airlines (yep, that was the round about way of getting to Napoli, but I need to rack up those miles for next year's vacation extravaganza (location yet to be determined). Let me tell you know the food we have had here is to die for. Really you say, well I say yes. They cook with the freshest ingredients and yes you can certainly taste the difference; hands down! I had the pasta Sicilian style with mozzarella and eggplant and Ron enjoyed the tagatelle bolognese (see pictures). Ron ordered the green salad and I ordered the bruschetta appetizer for two. If your are in Sorrento, do give this restaurant a try. I am sure you will also agree it is worth the stop in.

Claudia L.

Yelp
We had an amazing experience. We were able To get seated without a reservation. Upon leaving at 9 pm there were dozens of people waiting outside. The pizza was superb! The dorada fish was ezquisite. The mixed green salad was so good we ordered two. I hadnt read any reviews and to the ones who had a bad experience, ours was the complete opposite. We absolutely loved it. We had our two daughters and two adults and had an amazing dinner.
google avatar

Kat T.

Yelp
Wonderful service and solid food. We got the seafood appetizer which was very delicious (my mom loved the octopus) and the homemade pasta with clam and pesto sauce was also on point. The grilled lamb chops with grilled vegetables and rosemary potatoes were tasty--the lamb was a bit gamey for my taste. The location was very well decorated and the service was impeccable. This was the only location in Italy I've been to where they ask for gratuity but at least it is well deserved. For those 3 dishes plus a cappuccino and two types of bread was 65 euros so all in all not bad! I would definitely recommend the seafood here and be prepared to pay some gratuity for the service.

Mike N.

Yelp
Good pizza, decent pasta and reasonably priced. Had a great table up stairs with live music easily heard. A bit of a mix with tourist and locals.
google avatar

Ryan A.

Yelp
Loved this place! Such a cool feel inside the restaurant. The food was great and the service was amazing! The servers were so fun and really made you feel like your were getting not just food but an experience! I had such a great evening! One of my favorite italian experiences i had

Yelp
This place was simply amazing!!! I can't say enough of how good the food and the atmosphere was!! The restaurant decoration is very authentic Italian. The bottom floor of the restaurant is pretty amazing with stone walls and wine bottles everywhere. The staff was very accommodating making last minute reservation for almost 20 people. The food choices were plenty and the house wine was amazing. There is no need to order expensive bottles honestly. However if you are for a wine treat the staff would offer pretty good wine choices. Prices were reasonable for this type of restaurant. This is a place I would love to go back to again!!

Yelp
Stopped in to grab some food after we did a shopping trip in town. The pasta was really good - home made and the pizzas were a hit for the kids. We arrived about 5 minutes before they officially opened and was welcomed in to have a seat and just hang and peruse the menu until they opened up. Appreciate the service and the food was great.
