Ritrovo La Piazzetta - Ristorante a Caltagirone

The restaurant is in a great spot in the Caltagiorne’s old town: it is well-known place. They make fresh pasta daily, as you can really taste. We tired fresh pasta with pumpkin vinegar and mushroom; and beef tagliata. The pasta has a nice balance of contrasting flavors; and tagliata came with basil sauce and Parmesan pieces that give it a great final touch. We ended the meal tiramisu and pistachio panna cotta: both tasted fresh and homemade. The ambience reflects the city’s character with local decorations. One interesting thing we noticed that many restaurants here serve fish as a main ingredient even though the city located in the mountain- unexpected but charming detail.

A perfect dinner. The owner was too kind and gave as a table without booking, even though it was crowded. The pizzas were amazing, the best we tried on Sicily, even though we were a bit full because of the antipasti. The overall experience was more than great, everything was tasty (and has vegetarian options!) and the service exceeded our expectations. Thanks!

After a week in Sicily this restaurant was far far the best!! We got to this charming little town accidently but the experience was amazing! Friendly people,great service! We took two starters and two mains,bruschette and buratta,both were fresh and so tasty,but the mains blew our mind!! One with mixesd musroom and the other with prawns and greated pistacchio……. pasta perfectly cooked,generous amount of prawns..everything was spot on!! You can tell that the whole team loves their job and they put effort and love to their dishes! That is what i call hospitality!! Thank you guys!! Strongly recommended!!

The antipasti gave a delightful mix of bites including a delicious Spinach involtini. The prima piatti was a two tantalising tastes, with ravioli pistachio and a sausage, fennel and tomato pasta. Unfortunately, the secondo piatti didn't match the previous plates and was and overload of meat and a slight let-down. However, what saved the meal was an amazing panna cota which stole the show and was hands down the best I have ever had - you must visit #localguides #ongooglemaps

Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. We eat lunch every year when visiting Sicily. Four people was less than $100 with appetizers and meal.

We went two times in this restaurant and absolutely enjoyed it both times. Really friendly staff despite the language barrier, quick service, big portions for a good prices. We highly recommended

We were so pleased to happen upon this fantastic restaurant. Great atmosphere, impeccable service, very tasty food! The staff were all so kind and we were on cloud nine as we walked home. Bravo!
