This is obviously a popular place in Wanaka and rightly so. Food and coffee were both great. There was a wait on food but this was made clear to us when we ordered and was worth the wait. The hash brown sticks were very yummy. Avocado on toast was delicious, very fresh and the olive oil drizzle was obviously very good quality. The chefs know what they're doing!

Terrible customer service. Tried to pay with cash, but the staff condescendingly told me that they would not accept my older notes, and I should go to the bank to exchange the notes, despite them being legal tender. Ended up paying with card, and the overall quality was terrible considering the exorbitant price. Would not recommend.

Lovely cozy little Café. Very friendly service. Coffee was great and the hotcakes I had were delicious. They were a bit slow but understandable as they were very busy.
It gets a bit noisy for conversation when full.

Amazing food with some great flavors. The mountaineer's fuel breakfast was great, but I could have done without the homemade sausage; Too much seasoning in it that didn't let the meat flavor shine. No take out orders which seemed strange, but if you can wait it's a great breakfast choice.

I don’t usually like to leave bad reviews, but I was really surprised — the staff was quite unfriendly. I felt like I was bothering them just by being there. I could understand if I had arrived 15 minutes before closing, but that wasn’t the case.
As for the food, it’s definitely overpriced for the portion size.
I won’t be coming back.

Worst customer service from what looked like the supervisor, loud snarky and a smart arse. Terrible energy. The young lass that served me first was pleasant and obvs in training, poor thing has to put up with that supervisor. Good luck sweetheart. Even worse was the food. Other better places in town for sure.

I ordered a hot cappuccino, it doesn’t taste good as I expected as the taste of the coffee is too sour for me, no aroma. However, it has a rich foam with generous chocolate powder. Staff is friendly, helpful, and fast service. I may come back to try the food but not coffee

The chai latte was just bad, no taste, I had to throw it away without drinking it, and my friend found a piece of green sponge in her cappuccino. We were also overcharged, $8.50 for small takeaway cups. And the staff was neither smiling nor friendly. Horrible experience
