Ritz Copacabana Hotel

We loved our stay at the Ritz Copacabana hotel. The location is excellent ( it’s one block back from the beach but that’s only about another 20 seconds walk and it’s a bit quieter than the hotels on the main road). You still get great side on views of the beach and sugarloaf, and being a smaller hotel it never felt crowded around the pool or at breakfast. The room was modern, very comfortable, was a great size and we were surprised to get an unexpected partial sea view (I think we got a free upgrade). The breakfast was plentiful and delicious and the staff were excellent. A particular thanks to Victor who ran after our taxi when my husband left his hat behind. This is an excellent hotel, really well run and good value for money given the location and degree of comfort.

The entire staff was wonderful host, giving a HUGE shout-out to Victor and Juliano. They were very attention detailed, offered AMAZING dinner suggestions and even made reservations. Because of the staff, we saw some breath taking views and learned about the history of Rio. We are definitely looking forward to a return visit.

BEST hotel ever!! Staff is so polite and friendly. William and Julian were amazing to us at the bar and really made us feel welcomed. Lucas was very helpful to us at the front desk. The hotel was clean, great location, and staff really made our experience in Rio fantastic!

The location was great Easy access to the beach, cabs, local restaurants The rooftop was closed 4 of the 5 days However, it had a beautiful view The elevator dropped while I was going to get off, VERY SCARY The room itself was very dirty. The floors in the room turned my feet black The shower pressure was non existent I couldn't wash my hair The towels smelled and were very stained The breakfast was good, minimal options but all the basics were available, eggs, fruit and oatmeal. Overall it was not the best experience I felt very dirty due to the showers being cold and little pressure and dirty towels I would not recommend.

We had an excellent stay at the Ritz Copacabana! The hotel is very pleasant, and the staff is particularly respectful and attentive. Special thanks to Victor at the front desk, who was extremely helpful and gave us great advice for our excursions. Thanks to him, we were able to fully enjoy our stay in Rio. Many thanks to the whole team – we will be happy to come back!

Modern clean and friendly BUT rooms have glass doors and walls on bathrooms. I won’t be returning. It’s impossible to have privacy in the bathroom. We upgraded to an executive suite because they (at least) had opaque glass but there was no bathroom only a shower cubicle and a loo cubicle in the room. For such a beautiful hotel in a great location it’s such a shame. The design is so poor I would not return.

The Ritz was in the perfect place for two first time travelers to Brazil! We were in a prime location to everything we wanted to see in Rio along with great amenities! The Ritz’s staff’s hospitality really made our stay. We really enjoyed our week and getting to know staff like Julian, William and Lucas!

Just arrived - very welcoming and efficient so far. Arrived early in morning in time for a very pleasant breakfast served by Jane and William! Looking fwd to my short stay in Rio!
