Ritz Copacabana Hotel

We stayed 3 nights at the start of our holiday in late October and having looked at nearby hotels decided to come back at the end. A medium sized hotel 60 meters back from the the main front avenue. Really really nice hotel, clean and modern, large rooms. Our rooms were 1102 and 1402 respectively and these, initially just by luck, were the superior rooms high floors on the corner with a wonderful view. The same view enjoyed by the dining room and the top floor pool/bar, over the Copacabana and sugerloaf. ( See photo) Everything worked effectively. The staff were really great very helpful. The breakfast buffet was extensive and excellent quality.

Stayed here for 4 nights in September. Very enjoyable stay. Hotel is smaller/boutique type and newer, I think, than many of the bigger places on Copacabana - and it shows. Paid a bit extra to stay in the slightly bigger Exec room and found it very pleasant, clean, modern and well equiped. Higher floor so fairly quite - good A/C. Breakfast was a buffet served on the top floor with great views. Not a massive choice but still good enough and fresh. Good coffee machine! Staff were very good throughout. Extremely helpful at Reception - Victor, Junior? and lady whose name I didnt get. Happy to arrange reliable tours and Taxis which is a must in Rio. Well located one block back from Copacabana and easy walk down to Ipanema and the evening night market. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. To be honest its a first class place and I recommend to anyone going to Rio. Not sure if I will ever get the chance but if I ever returned to Rio would certainly stay again.

I can only highly recommend Hotel Ritz! Everything was absolutely perfect — from the exceptional cleanliness and hygiene to the friendliness and helpfulness of the entire staff. You can truly feel that everyone here works with heart, every request was handled quickly and always with a smile. The food was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Especially the breakfast was a real highlight, with a great variety and so much attention to detail. From the very first moment, we felt welcomed and completely comfortable. A big thank you to the whole team, you’re doing an amazing job!

Great hotel, lovely staff, rooms are small but clean and have everything you need. The location is excellent, 1 minute walk from the beach. Breakfast was good. Free access to a full commercial gym (separate to the hotel - but only 50M up the road). The staff were excellent especially Victor on reception!

I had a wonderful time at the Ritz Copacabano Hotel in Rio. The Staff was excellent & great Customer Service skills. Shirley was so helpful our entire stay. William the Barman was excellent and provided great service. The Chef/cook prepared a very tasty pizza on October 4th. Stayed at The Ritz Copacabana, my husband surprised me with the trip for my birthday. Juliano Francisco and Jana have been looking after us every morning they’re so lovely, always smiling and friendly. We also had drinks at the bar, Evandro is amazing and makes the best piña colada’s — definitely one to try!|Victor on reception is a legend he knows all the cool local spots and gives good recommendations for local bars and restaurants! There was another gentlemen on the reception when we arrived in the evening the 14th October, I can’t remember his name but he was also very lovely and welcoming too.

This hotel is a 3.5 star. The rooms were fine but felt tired and you could smell the drains in the bathroom. Reception is nice enough but there are small touches like broken lights and faded paintwork that need fixing. The breakfast was great, as were the staff who helped us book several trips

We loved our stay at the Ritz Copacabana hotel. The location is excellent ( it’s one block back from the beach but that’s only about another 20 seconds walk and it’s a bit quieter than the hotels on the main road). You still get great side on views of the beach and sugarloaf, and being a smaller hotel it never felt crowded around the pool or at breakfast. The room was modern, very comfortable, was a great size and we were surprised to get an unexpected partial sea view (I think we got a free upgrade). The breakfast was plentiful and delicious and the staff were excellent. A particular thanks to Victor who ran after our taxi when my husband left his hat behind. This is an excellent hotel, really well run and good value for money given the location and degree of comfort.
