River Bottom Bar & Grill

This is a true hole-in-the-wall biker bar with a pretty crummy, no-frills ambiance, and that is exactly the point. The food punches well above the setting. The burgers are solid, and the Reuben I had was genuinely good. They have draft beer, outdoor seating, plenty of parking, and live music when I visited. It is also conveniently located near the entrance to the Box Canyon off-road trail, making it an ideal stop before or after a ride. Not fancy, but it delivers where it counts. Easy five-star recommendation.

Where else would you find women line dancing on a Tuesday afternoon at 2:00. The food was good as was the service. Everyone was friendly and prices were decent. This is one or two notches up from your typical biker bar.

Great food! Try the chicken tenders - the breading is amazing! Clam chowder was very good - a meal itself! We had a group of 11 on a Sunday night and the service was quick and we had a huge table for us all. 4 stars because it was smoky where we sat.

LOVE this place! Went there with my cool aunt Cindy and had a great time. The burgers were SO good. We went on a Sunday and JNX were playing...they were one of the best cover bands I have ever seen. Drinks were great too. Did I mention the burgers???

A surprisingly good meal in a small, off the beaten path, kind of place. The atmosphere was relaxed. The food was amazing and priced very fairly. The Calamari was of the best I've had. The Fish was at least two inches thick, three pieces was more than I could eat. The Chips (fries) were fresh cuts and cooked perfectly. The name might be River Bottom, but the food is high above the water!

I stopped in for a couple of beers, and dinner. There was a good band playing. It’s not my first time here. The other times were great, but this time it wasn’t. I ordered the chicken sandwich that according to the menu, was to have onions and mushrooms on it. I told the bartender I didn’t want either of them. She said don't worry, it didn’t come with mushrooms. I sat at the end of the bar, where I could see the cook prepare my meal. He was pretty quick at getting it out. But then it sat for more than ten minutes, getting cold, before finally a waitress brought it to me. I looked and sure enough it was loaded with mushrooms. Even though the bar wasn’t full at the time, the bartender couldn’t bother to come and see what was going on. Another waitress finally came by, and I asked for my check, which came to $22 and change. I gave her $20 and said that was enough, and explained why that was all she was getting. BTW, I didn’t touch my meal. She took my money and went to the register. There was no I”m sorry, or can we do something. Nothing! I did drink my “$20 beer” as I sat there watching my meal get cold. In my view… Bad Business! And now I’ll probably never go back. And I talk! I left a review on their website, and realized there is only three or four good reviews we can read. No bad ones. And mine wasn’t one of them. I wonder why??

We came by during a Saturday music event. Full house. Fun band. Had lunch with wife and kids. French dip was good and the wings were tasty. The mushroom chicken bacon sandwich was big and tasty. Chili was disappointingly cold but it was very busy so understandable. The bartender made sure she took care of us on this issue. Other than that they have Shiner Bock on draft so win!

Definite dive bar vibes, not my kind of place, but we were in the area and decided to give it a try. The food and service will definitely bring us back. Our server was incredibly busy, rushing from table to table, but was super friendly and welcoming. We went for breakfast and both got the breakfast burger. It was huge, and so tasty, cooked to order. The fries were delicious too. I had a Bloody Mary as well, very good, not completely watered down like some restaurants do (talking to you Tortilla Flat Saloon).

This place gets packed and has live music in a great outdoor patio area with bar outside as well as food service. There is also a ton of seating inside. We had excellent service sitting at the bar. Great menu. Buffalo wings were large and cooked perfectly without drowning them in sauce. The blue cheese dressing was good as well. We liked it so much we came back a few days later and had breakfast. Biscuits and gravy were good, good gravy and 2 huge biscuits.

We have an amazing server. Reshawn? Or Shawn? He was such a bright smile! Kind, and helpful towards our choices! Highly recommend coming back here! Especially if you can get him as your server!

As always, I love coming to the river bottom. This place has great food great service and the ambience whether you inside or outside on the patio is great you can still have decent conversations with the live music at this place is phenomenal on the patio. And it's such great weather. When is permitted to just be outside listen to live music have a couple drinks have some munchies whatever it is this place is phenomenal. You definitely have to try the New England clam chowder. It's award-winning and the guy brought it down from Washington area and I just tell you it's great all around.

Food is decently good. I haven't had anything yet that is above and beyond, but the menu looks decent and the drinks are good. I will definitely try some other items on the menu that look good.

Leo, our gorgeous waitress and the ever lovely Ashley behind the bar are a fave wait team. The food and service is outstanding. We go there around once a month. The River Bottom is a nice drive from our home in Mesa. It's even better on a motorcycle. Just sayin. They have been working on their Patio for a minute as well. It's awesome.

This place looks very rough from the outside, but the service was good. My girlfriend ordered the Reuben, which was delicious and I ordered the turkey bacon avocado croissant sandwich. We also had sweet potato fries, which were absolutely delicious. Next time I'm in that neck of the woods I will return Service was fantastic.

Long story short, I broke my 4Runner and was able to limp it from the nearby trail and parked across the street from here. Been down this way a few times but never stopped in. Well I came in on a Sunday afternoon and it was PACKED. I'm talking 100+ people between inside and outside. Live band was playing outside and sounded great. Every staff member in the place was constantly moving around to help everyone out. It did take awhile to place my order and get my food but what do you expect when it's that busy? The ladies were all so funny and polite as were some of the diverse customers I was chatting with. Overall, my fries and burger were delicious and was no more expensive than a trip to a fast-food joint. If you're in the area, you should definitely drop by for takeout or much better if you stay and eat there because it's a great spot and tons of outdoor seating for all the nice weather we get.

We are first time visitors checking out the area. We did not eat but bar food coming out looked good. We drank and enjoyed afternoon karaoke. Friendly service and fun Monday afternoon crowd. Lots to look at here and clearly a favorite with the motorcycle and ATV crowd. Great outdoor area. I hear they have line dancing here. Would definitely come back if in the area again.

We have driven by many times when going through Florence and marveled at how busy the place seems to be. The timing was right this time and we stopped for a late lunch. My husband and I split a patty melt and fries. The patty melt was the best we have ever had and the fries were terrific. The interior is a little worn, but the food makes up for it.

Stopped for lunch after visiting Boyce Thompson Arboretum. We sat on the patio and have great service. Food was good and hot. We will come back if we are in the area again. Thank you!

I led a ride with our Harley Owners Group to Florence and Globe for our month long poker run to courthouses, and after getting pictures in Florence, it was time for a late breakfast. I'd checked this place out and saw they had good reviews, so we came here. This is truly my kind of place, meaning no offense, this is a dive bar of the best kind. We kind of overwhelmed the poor guy behind the bar because there were quite a few of us, but he did a great job getting us our food. The food was good, but really, it wasn't about the food but the ride and a great group of people to ride with.

I've had mostly good experiences here but I recently tried to order one fish taco and was told NO I need to buy the meal with 2 fish tacos and a side. I've ordered like this before without an issue. The waitress was not especially nice either, said manager doesn't like customers ordering that way. What the hell, have they not heard of ala carte? Food wasn't quite up to par with what I had previously and the sweet potato fries were limp and soggy. Not sure I'll be going back.

The food and our server was very good but the male manager with the beard was Being very rude and unprofessional towards the server(at no fault to her) disrupting the entire dining experience. employees should not be treated with such disrespect!

Went out with friends after work. We all ordered drinks and some of us ordered food. Mine finally came when we were getting up to leave about 90 minutes later. It wasn't busy in there, we had the largest amount of people. I guess the waitress didn't want to make any money that day. I won't be back. Service was horrible.

I've been to RB before but never for breakfast. Eggs, bacon, hash brown were cooked to perfection. The pancakes were amazing--as in light and fluffy. Also had the house omelette with country potatoes--excellently spiced. Coffee was hot and fresh. I know this place is known for its bar food, but bfast is awesome too.

We have been meaning to stop by here and it was finally convenient. We opted to sit on the patio with the live music just before sunset. There is a lovely view across the valley. The entertainer was lively and people were dancing. They have a full bar and the brews were cold. They have an extensive menu. We tried the sautéed mushrooms which were good - served almost like a soup in a bowl with lots of broth and garlic toast. The onion rings, angus sliders with tots were typical bar food. The fried calamari was tender. My husband was disappointed with the clam chowder- very few clams and too many large chunks of potato. Service was good. We will probably be back.

This place was so much fun. Live band, great ambiance. The fish tacos I had could have been better. Seemed like two pcs of fish on a tortilla-not much else. My friend had a BLT, that looked good. The place was packed and only had 1 or 2 servers which made the service slow but they were friendly.

Very average roadside bar / restaurant. Food and service was just OK. Had the Old Blue Burger and side of Garlic Fries. Was here with a motorcycle group. On the plus side, they have a lot of outdoor seating. While there is a lot of area for parking, the lot is dirt and not well maintained so parking bikes can be a bit sketchy. Net is, this place is just OK, and there are many and better restaurants in Superior just a few minutes away.

Afternoon Yelpers, Take a ride East on the 60 to River Bottom Grill in Florance. Great bands on the weekends, Plenty of shade outside while you enjoy your breakfast, lunch or dinner. Inside air condition also & plenty of tables plus the bar to sit at to watch your favorite sports. We got vaccine #2 at the library this Friday, stopped in for dinner. Great band was playing 60's style music. Plenty of parking even inside seating was available. Only a little issue I experienced, it takes some time for waitress to bring the check when you're done eating outside. But I just had to find waitress to get our check, They have tablets to pay at your table. No big deal... A must add to your list to of restraints to try..

Service was extermely slow and when we finally got our two cheesburger orders, the burgers were completely burned and un-edible. Waitress agreed and said we will take of that with a new order, which was slow in getting and the burgers were not as burned but could not be completely eaten.

It's always a good time here at the riverbottom. The service is always great and the servers are accommodating. The breakfast burrito is my favorite and the burgers are nice and tasty. If you think there's no way in hell you'd eat seafood in the middle Arizona then think again. River Bottom Bar is a seafood haven amidst a sea of sage brush and desert. The owner, Jeff, is a former Washingtonian with connections to the Pacific Northwest seafood markets. Skeptically I ordered the wild caught salmon, and it blew my freaking mind! It was perfectly prepared, and the dill sauce was a fantastic accompaniment. The service is also outstanding! Amanda was our server and was not only friendly but delivered all food and drinks quickly. I'll be back!

Service was fast and very friendly! They have some outdoor patio dinning and a area for music. I've been wanting to stop as there's always a crowd there. They hand bread their chicken and fish. We had wings and a sandwich and all was very good. We will be back for the wing challenge in a few weeks.

It was our first time at this place. We were with friends who had been there several times before. I'm sure it changes from time to time depending on the band that's playing. This time the band was fine but they were so loud that we couldn't even carry on a conversation outside. Sometimes that's fine but not when you're having dinner with friends and want to visit. We went inside. Servers were great and we had no complaints about the food. It's not that we ordered a lot but at least we could converse.

Drove by this place on our way to the historic downtown Florence. Did what we needed to do and on our way back, we ended stopping off to have lunch. Not going to lie, the appearance was giving me second thoughts. But once inside, it was another old western style saloon and grill. My wife ordered and enjoyed her BLT with extra crispy bacon. We ordered a side of onion rings that was very good itself. I had the hot boy, which is a buffalo hot chicken sandwich. I thought this sandwich was worth the stop. Their fries were very tasty, better then most restaurants. They offer Pepsi products, and have a bar for the alcohol drinks. Really glad we stopped by, now we know a good place to eat in Florence.

Great little dive bar. Have lived in Florence for a couple years and finally decided to check this place out. Breakfast was great, Bloody Mary was nice and spicy. Super polite and quick service... we'll be back! 10/10 recommend swinging in if you're in the area.

RIVER BOTTOM BAR AND GRILL Florence, Az. 3/23 First time to go here. The food we had was very good. We both had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw on the sandwich. I had onion rings (excellent sweet onions), wife had French fries which she says was very good. Service was very good. This place was full and service never missed a beat. Very well organized. This place is a must try. Great food and great atmosphere, highly recommend the Hot Boy Chicken Sandwich.

Stopped in after a day of Jeeping with a group of 8. Place is an unpretentious bar/grill. Nothing fancy but a good menu. Supposed to have live music but nothing happening when we were there. Large covered outdoor area, perfect for desert evenings. Drinks served quickly. Beer menu pretty limited but they were ice cold. I had the Fat boy burger and onion rings. Burger was loaded and huge and I shared with my husband. Onion rings were regular. Husband had the pulled pork after the sandwich he wanted was unavailable. He liked it but it was on the small side hence my sharing of the burger. Service was good. Server checked back several times to replenish beers. Would definitely stop in again.

This place was a little drive from Queen Creek but worth it a bar atmosphere with really good food we went for breakfast good coffee biscuits and gravy that had flavor. I had the river bottom omelette it had great taste and bigger than expected the browns were crunchy. The huge pieces of rye toast topped it off . The bacon looked like the thick sliced the other party member said it was good didn't get a chance to try the eggs Benedict.

The garlic fries are good but can be a little less greasy . The burger "Road king " was great . Can also be less greasy, burger ended up falling apart due to the bun being soggy . The service was amazing , I was seated right away and served with a drink immediately. The vibe was easy going and quite . The restaurant was full , a lot of older folk. Over all my visit was pleasant. I recommend stopping by if your in the area.

Bottom is the keyword.... Ok, it's not the worst place I've been to, but it's really not that good. If you're in Florence AZ, this might be considered a good place to go eat. To me, it's a place to grab a drink and then move on. It seems dark and dank inside, which makes the outside area the best part of this place. The outside patio is large and lots of seating, and there's a small stage where bands can play. The food wasn't good, except for the french fries... Those were ok. I got a hamburger and it looked char broiled, but inside it was all mush.... At first I thought it wasn't cooked enough, but then realized it was sitting in a tray or something with hot water or whatever it was and it got really soggy. The burger was too wet and falling apart. It grossed me out so I didn't even finish it.

This is going to be quick. Loud obnoxious drunks with one volume, yell! Caesar salad, lettuce, cut up chick breast from Cisco, and Caesar dressing from a gallon jug also Cisco, $12. Beers were ok. Disappointing and aggravating, just aggravating, couldn't wait to finish my beer so we could make a run for it. Unless you're planning on getting drunk, being obnoxious, and setting your volume to perma-yell, this is not your place.

It's not my kind of place. It's too much of a party place. If that's your thing then I fully recommend it to you.

Great place to grab some simple food and have a few drinks. Staff was friendly, food arrived hot and plentiful. Beer was cold what more do you need. I was loving the interior, kind of had that dive bar feel to it. I will be back. Check this place out.
