River Front Restaurant

Beautiful setting for a restaurant right by the river side with very friendly staff. Unfortunately, the views don’t fill an empty stomach and the portion sizes were very small. Highly recommend the kudu and ostrich main; the chicken was tiny and didn’t taste like much. All mains are supposed to be accompanied by veggies and roasted potatoes. The latter turned out to be four wedges rather than full potatoes, so the description of the dish felt misleading.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My partner and I had an unforgettable dining experience at this restaurant, which offers the absolute best food in South Africa—traditional and authentic, just like Mama used to make! Appetizer: We started our meal with a fresh, hearty tomato soup that was absolutely delicious and set the tone for the evening. Main Courses: We indulged in a variety of mouthwatering dishes, kudu and wild beast. Each dish was a burst of flavor, leaving us both saying “wow, wow, wow” after every bite! Dessert: To finish off our meal, we enjoyed a warm Malva cake served with freshly prepared pudding. It was the perfect, indulgent ending to an extraordinary dinner. The ambiance was just as impressive—a beautiful spot with breathtaking sunsets that added an extra layer of magic to our evening. We highly recommend this restaurant for anyone seeking an authentic taste of South African culinary excellence. Keep up the fantastic work!

Whole food, fresh and delicious food with breathtaking views over the Sundays river. Would highly recommend for sunset. We had the wildebeest and kudu steaks

The ostrich steak and wine was amazing! And the view is spectacular. Would also recommend staying the night at one of the cabins!

4 of us went on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and it was great. The location is very nice. The restaurant filled up after we arrived and it was atmospheric. The food was delicious. We each had a different type of meat and the vegetables from the garden were awesome. We had a lovely afternoon.

A lovely rustic spot off the beaten track set in a beautiful garden overlooking the river. The food was top notch with vegetables grown in the restaurant's own garden. Food was served in a very timely fashion. Although mostly a meat lover's selection of food, they do provide delicious vegetarian options. Friendly owners. Would visit again.

Delicious and fresh food. The staff (or at least the chef) wasn't very friendly, even though we were the only customers and they should have been somewhat happier to have some guests here..
