Being a person that grew up here, left, and explored the world...this is good spot for BC. River Rock back in the day use to be a one stop, get wasted, and go about your night place. Now it is way better especially with the new owners. Definitely a spot to grab some grub on your way out of town, after a game, pre gaming and many other occasions. Want some wine....well buy some right here. Come one and come all.....and come stop at River Rock in Bay City

My coworker & I brought our 3 residents out for a great evening of entertainment in the street. The server was really nice & again thank you to the gentleman who paid for our drinks. We all had a great time & everyone was very nice & understanding of our residents need for getting out & enjoying themselves.

We stopped here on our way back to the airport on our way back to Florida. It was a random stop, and the service was good, the food my girl got she didn't like, but I got some kind of Philly and it was decent. It was a random stop, and we were on our way to the airport, so we left in a hurry. The bar itself was clean and the staff was friendly as well as the customers. I enjoyed all the things on the wall and the local beers. Would probably go back for nostalgia of the trip.

Small place, went for the Monday special, but they were sold out at 5pm with 2 people in bar. Not much of a menu, a handful of sandwiches. Decent beer choices, friendly bar tender.

This place has always had a great vibe, but I wanted to check it out since new owners took over. Our waitress was great, but the kitchen was a little slow, which is expected with new staff. Also, the food menu is a lot smaller, so hopefully, a few new things are eventually added to it. We'll definitely be back.

Your experience here depends strictly on your waitress. My last visit has me never wanting to return. It should not be a struggle to get the attention of your waitress when you are literally the only customer there. But this was the case for me on my last visit.

This was a great place to have our team party. The food was wonderful and the staff even better. They were very accommodating!! Highly recommended!!

I went on a Sunday around 3:15pm and it was not busy at all so I got to chat with my lovely waitress Grace about the place! Got the Reuben and it was super good. $2.50 to upgrade to fries which I think is not a deal so I went with the chips. They were crispy and tasty. The sandwich itself was fine, if you like meat you'll love it- they do 2 layers of corned beef! I would have done half the meat and added more sauerkraut but that's just me. I also ordered a mocktail and loved the flavor but was disappointed that they charged me for a cocktail when it didn't include any alcohol- $9.00 for a fruity soda... the ambiance is great and the decor is rock n roll and fun. I'd come again!

Went into the place wasn't busy it was very clean BUT.... The food was horrible. We had a steak sandwich which was covered in tomato paste no flavor. I took two bites and told the waitress it wasn't any good she didn't seem to care. The other was a Reuben sandwich and chips. It was horrible. Also two bites and that's it. Took it home to the dog. I would not recommend eating there at all.

The food and atmosphere of the River Rock was amazing and we had a great time! I had the beef nachos and my husband had the all American burger. We also shared the cheese curds which were delicious. Had a nice chat with the owner Anna and felt very welcome. Will definitely be back again!

Cool place! Food was awesome and the bartender made a special drink just the way I like it . Price for our meal was reasonable. Service was great. Went on a Sunday afternoon to give the place a try. Already planning our next visit.

We went for breakfast. It's definitely a pub breakfast with nothing big to write home about but we were not exactly disappointed, simply not thrilled.

Sunday's is the best day to come here - $1.75 burgers, $1 fried and $1.75 domestic draft beer. Burgers taste homemade and have decent flavor. Rest of the menu is typical bar food and prices are decent.

Real cool decor! Comfy atmosphere nice crowd! Friendly servers! Serving sizes AMPLE! Food is tasty! We enjoyed our breakfast experience and will be back when in town. We recommend you stop in and enjoy a good meal and a drink.

This is my go to breakfast spot in Bay City. Breakfast is served seven days a week starting at 7am. Decent beer selection, they have about 15-20 beers on tap and they're licensed to serve that at 7am too. I live in Bay City, but if you're traveling I would highly recommend. They're located about 3 miles from i75 and us10. I always get the southern stack up, which is a mess of biscuits and gravy, eggs, and potatoes. The portion is definitely big enough for two. They have a good lunch and dinner menu too. Sandwiches are huge, French fries are really good, and you can't go wrong with their $1 burgers on Sundays! Service is excellent, the ladies always remember my order. I've been there with toddlers and younger kids a few times and the waitresses usually bring them a candy/toy after the meal, it's really sweet.

Once again... found on Aadvantage Dining, cross-referenced with YELP! and here we go.,.. We went on a rainy Thursday evening for an early dinner. River Rock was on a corner, and a little difficult to find. There were a few people, but not too packed so it was nice. It's primarily a sports bar with a dining area from what I saw, which made it fun and casual. It seemed like a great place for after-work drinks! The walls are covered in old concert posters, which was really cool! After reading reviews it came down to the ribs and the reuben... and the ribs won! And it was a FANTASTIC choice! Tender flavorful meat that slid right off the bone, and came with a sweet and tangy bbq sauce... but not too sweet (which I don't like). The fries that come with have got to be a full potatoe... they are double fried, seasoned and delicious... like fries were meant to be. I also had the grilled cheese (I'd been craving one, okay?). It was large! On homemade Texas Toast! Dripping in Cheese! Perfect buttered bread! Grilled to pefection! This is the Grilled Cheese that every bowl of Tomato Soup dreams about! And at $4.95 the price was perfect too! the kid next to me had one (which is really why I NEEDED my own)... and I've never seen a kid enjoy a grilled cheese that way before! They also had a few picnic tables outside, which if the weather was better would've been awesome! Will be back when I'm in the area for sure!

We ordered the ClubRock and Rockin BLT. Both came with fries and we couldn't even finish. Bill was less than $30. Food was amazing. Cooked to order just as we requested. Servers were fast and friendly. Server even helped my mother fill out her Keno plays. Definitely coming back to try dinner. Thanks again!!

Excellent service at very affordable prices. We stopped here by chance after the other place we were going to stop at changed owners and our gift card was no longer good. So glad that we stopped by. The service was quick the food was delicious and very affordable. The day we stopped (Sunday) was $1.75 cheeseburger 1/4 lb and $1 fry day. Drafts were only $1 too. The nachos were large and flavorful. We are coming back for sure. They have a smaller inside seating area but also have outdoor seating. The walls are decorated with the bands from the past and tour dates. Makes for a nice conversation. The men's bathroom had little privacy for anyone wanting to use the sit down stall.

Really love the look and feel to this place! Bar and restaurant friendly, the walls are plastered with band and celebrities which is so exciting to look around and pick out your favorite ones. Such a neat and awesome style!! The food is delicious as well!! They have pool and play great tunes as well :) I recommend this place indeed!!!

My family went just before Christmas. Amazing food. Amazing service. Amazing value! Highly recommend you try this place out when covid allows things to open back up.

This place was a great find! Our server was wonderful. He was friendly and helpful. My husband enjoyed the smothered chicken and I love my chicken sandwich. Large portions!!! Prepare to leave with a full belly!!!

It started with the waiter saying"don't order that, the last people sent it back it was so bad". That should have been my time to leave but I thought the decor looked cool so try this dive bar. The nacho was super generic and their onion rings were Gordon's at the best. I know why it's for sale! Don't go!

A little hidden place in Downtown Bay City, it has a decor of a 50's diner (or dive). Rather loud, but that may have just been us going late on a Saturday Night. The menu is a basic Bar & Grill, but they have taken the time to make some of the descriptions fun and funny. We started the night with an order of Onion Rings, good taste, served fast, not greasy. Burgers were great. The fries reminded me of Rally's Fries (which I love). The service is fast and friendly.

Not one of my normal spots, I've been here several times. We came in for breakfast this morning and were seated after a few min. wait......we waited 15 min. for a server to even acknowledge we were there, they walked past us several times and not a word. Extremely displeased. I won't be back!

We went on a Sunday. It rib special 6.95 half 10.95 full. It comes with fries or baked potato. Coleslaw or salad, these came in Styrofoam bowls. Well the ribs were very tender. My daughter just slid them out of the meat. Sauce was very tasty. I totally enjoyed the meal. The reason for only 4 stars. My wife and son had the wet burrito. Both were not impressed and wont have it again. My wife did finsh my ribs and would get these next time. As mentioned in previous reviews. The place is noisy. NFL football playing on all the TVs. But what do you expect from a bar. We will be back for the ribs.

I was recently there with my family on Sunday around 2:30, so obviously not a very busy time. It was freezing inside of the place, and when I got my food it was very cold, like it had been sitting around , and burnt. Also, couldn't track down a waitress to have it taken back. Very poor service

Good Food We've only stopped there for a light dinner but their wet burritos are the best and HUGE! (One can serve two folks our you can take home the leftovers for the next day.) On Mondays (I think it's Monday but better call to be sure) they have a second one for half price feature. We love their beef burritos. Cheap and really good! Atmosphere isn't great and once we got a burrito which wasn't totally hot all the way through.... if not for that, they'd get a 5 from us. But I can imagine that at night, with a large crowd it would be intolerably noisy. It's definitely our favorite spot for wet burritos.

Rachel and Ashley were the best servers I've had in bay city. They were so timely and friendly I felt like I was at home. The music was exactly what I wanted to listen to. A great bar with a great atmosphere.

I have tried this place several times. The food is good, but the service is terrible. Both times we waited for over 10 minutes before getting any acknowledgement that we were there. It didn't get any better. Another long wait to place the order. The food arrived timely, but getting the check, another wait. Was going to put it on my debit card, but after yet another long wait for the server to come pick it up, put cash on the table and walked out.

They tried - it was really slow and the waitress was like she had a hangover. Not impressed - but the food was fair and cheap. The atmosphere was retro awesome. It would be good for a group - again if the staff was a little lively. They had some good specials and they have a couple televisions. Little ticked when the waitress walked up inthemiddle if a basketball game and changed the channel - she didn't even ask and their were 10 people In the place. So then all four televisions had the Green Bay game on? Whaaaaattt? I won't be back service is important.

One of our go to places when we can't decide what we want or where we want to go. Food is always good, service fairly consistent. Used to have a turkey dinner special that was unreal sure wish they put it back on the menu. Sunday burger special great too.

Was not sure when we went in how it would be. As we ordered the service was great and the food was very good. I would recommend this to everyone. Waitress and staff very attentive to our needs, enjoyed our time there.

I can only speak on my breakfast experience, but it was good. I had left a relatively poor review prior to this about their dinner, and someone (who I believe to be the owner) sent me a message via Yelp! to check out breakfast. The fare was quite good, prices were great (cheaper than other breakfast spots in the area), and menu was simple and everything a breakfast menu should be. Decent breakfast at a decent price. Bloody Mary a touch weak, but they offer them regardless. Downside? Breakfast only offered Thurs - Sun. Who could ask for anything more for breakfast? I'll be back.

The atmosphere was good, the food was fast food caliber, and the service was less than impressive. I ordered the "River Rock Classic" burger with fries. The burger is advertised to be made with high quality sirloin, but fell short on flavor and was undercooked. I had to ask the server for my fries after my burger was brought out, because he "couldn't remember if I'd ordered fries". The server is a bartender who also waits tables and was none too friendly. I will more than likely not be returning.

I ordered a Frankenmuth brewery Dunkel. This beer is supposed to be highly carbonated. Unfortunately when it was given to me, it was totally flat. Luckily I wasn't charged.

20 Craft Brews, very nice prices on drinks and food, friendly yet quick service. Free WIFI. It's quit relaxing in here. Come and be social from breakfast to late night. This place Rocks!

My husband and I decided to try it because my husband is a HUGE fan of ribs. I had a coupon for buy one dinner, get one free (a 10.00 limit). I had a corned beef Rueben special and my husband had, of course, half rack of ribs. My sandwich was on special, and wasn't eligible for the coupon. But after some clarity from my British waitress, we cleared it all up. Anyway, my Rueben had a great flavor, but could of had more corned beef because it was GREAT! And getting back to the ribs, the sauce was terrific, sweet but some tang to it! We have been there before just for drinks, so we took advantage of the summer time weather and sat outside. The noise level in the bar influenced us to go outside. The entrance provided a nice atmosphere and cover in case of rain. We do like the posters that lined the wall, the prices are terrific, food was freakin' great!! WE WILL BE BACK VERY SOON!!!!!

The food was very good, had the perch luncheon. I did have a coupon for buy one dinner get up to $10.00 off on next dinner. The waitress said the only way I could use it was she would have to charge me 13.95 for each dinner, because the lunch was a special. I was treating someone and did not want to be embarrassed, but overall was not happy with my visit because of this.

While visiting dear friends who live in Bay City, they took me to River Rock because it is their favorite place to eat. It was a Thursday, and the special was steak sandwiches for $5.25. It was delicious. They serve it on buttered Napalitano bread - a local favorite. The sandwich was the size of a platter and came with a simple tomato dipping sauce and an abundant portion of yummy seasoned fries. I especially liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. It felt like we had been transported to another town in another state. I will definitely be back.

What a horrible exsperience!! Food was terrrible overcooked VERY POOR QUALITY!! The owner was exstreamly obnoxious and rude to the customer at the table next to us when they complained about their food!! NEVER WILL EAT HERE AGAIN AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND YOU DO EITHER.....

We stopped here for dinner after 12 hours on the road because we didn't want to stop at a fast food joint. The food and service was good. We were there on a Thursday evening, where the special was steak. It was tender and juicy and quite good. Would stop there again if I didn't live 12 hours away.
