"Couples looking for an urban escape can take a romantic stroll along Savannah's River Street. The historic waterfront path is constructed from cobblestones that are more than 200 years old, while the street itself is chock-full of cute restaurants, bars, galleries, and shops, all offering spectacular views of the Savannah River and docking cargo ships." - Travel + Leisure Editors

River Street in Savannah is one of the most charming and lively spots in the city. Stretching along the Savannah River, the cobblestone streets, old brick warehouses, and historic architecture give the area a unique character that feels both vintage and vibrant. The riverfront views are beautiful, especially during sunset when the light hits the water and the ships pass by. There are tons of great shops, local boutiques, candy stores, and restaurants to explore — you can easily spend hours walking around. Street performers, artists, and musicians add even more energy to the atmosphere. It’s the perfect place for a relaxing stroll, grabbing a bite to eat, or enjoying the nightlife. Whether it’s your first time in Savannah or your 20th, River Street always feels special and full of life. Highly recommended!

River Street is one of the most iconic and charming parts of Savannah! The cobblestone streets, old brick warehouses, and views of the river make it feel like stepping back in time. There’s always something happening — from street performers and artists to live music and local food vendors. The shops and restaurants along the river have a great mix of local flavor and history. Whether you’re grabbing a praline from River Street Sweets, hopping on a riverboat cruise, or just watching the ships pass by, it’s a perfect place to spend an afternoon or evening. It can get busy, especially on weekends, but that’s part of the fun. Definitely a must-visit for anyone exploring Savannah

First time down to River Street. Family visit, very nice. As a person with disabilities and balance issues, it could be more accessible. Not sure how with it being so old but there should be a way to have ramps around the riverfront so everybody can enjoy. Just my opinion. Other than that very enjoyable in the evening time when it cools down a little bit. We enjoyed the river boat, nice way to relax and visit with your people.

If you dont visit River Street on a trip to Savannah, you didnt visit Savannah. Its the perfect way to see the history, enjoy the food, and experience all Savannah has to offer. Candy shops, boutiques, rooftop bars, amazing restaurants, and the best views are all there along the cobblestone road. Start at thr JW Marriott ans just walk. Check out the places and marvel at the old buildings and I frastructure. You wont be disappointed. My favorite spots are the JW Marriott, Black Rifle Coffee Company, Savannahs Candy Kitchen, and Spankys. Saturdays and holidays can get busy, but never too crowded (unless its St. Patrick's Day). But Sundays and weekdays are always slow and easy.

Went to visit for a weekend with my wife and it was absolutely beautiful. The food is amazing and the scenery is gorgeous. Lots of shops and stores to check out and the river boat was a good time as well.

This is a great place to walk around, see Hutchinson island, and look at the surrounding scenery! parked at a paid parking lot right by the River Street. There are lots of statues and honorary memorials to people! This is a great place to walk anytime of day!

River street is a destination for locals and travelers alike. There's plenty of things to do and shops to explore while here. The river cruise was a nice way to cool off and enjoy the sights. Parking is a bit tough to find but not impossible. There's plenty of food and drink options too. Enjoy & explore!
