I love coming to the Riverbend hot springs. It's so relaxing. It's also very peaceful and quiet. I love soaking and seeing the fish in the river, too. They have tables, chairs, and even a small sauna. I've never stayed the night here before so I can not speak about the rooms but the area it rather quiet.

My boyfriend and I booked a private soak for an extended time of 2 hours and it was amazing. 2 hours is the perfect amount of time. 1 hour wouldn’t have been enough. It was clean, quiet, relaxing and private. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Each pool has varying temperatures so inquire for your preferred heat level. They take the whisper policy seriously and make sure you have the relaxing time you’ve paid for. Price was more than fair. Make sure you bring water and be respectful of those around you! What a lovely gem of a place. Simply wonderful. We will be back!!

My husband and I were traveling through the country and stayed at a friend's place in Truth or Consequences. We heard of the springs and thought we would give it a try. I honestly don't have words. It was one of the most relaxing and romantic experiences of my life 🤗. My husband and I are not super romantic either but this place really swept us off our feet. Highly, highly recommend!!!!

Google
We booked one of the private pools and were not disappointed. The facilities are clean with beautiful views of the Rio Grande. There is relaxing music playing and everyone is asked to speak in whispers or if necessary, there is a button to notify the office. We have been coming for about 5 years and it is a highlight of our winter adventures. We highly recommend the experience.

It is perfect the place to relax and rejuvenate. The Sunrise Suite is a one of the best rooms we’ve ever stayed at. It had everything you needed. It was spacious, very clean and romantic too. The different pools were located overlooking the Rio Grande. They offered different temperatures and were well maintained. Highly recommend this hidden gem❤️❤️

The views and baths are greatly appreciated. Met nice people while soaking and enjoyed the warm waters. Came back after dark after being assured the lights were worth seeing and they were. We enjoyed our stay. We stayed in our RV which we felt lucky for being able to get a spot.

Google
The positive first: We stayed in the budget double, which was spacious, comfortable, super clean, and had everything we needed. However, something has changed with the vibe of this place. My husband and I have been loyal patrons for the past 8 years every winter per our tradition. We usually stay a week. It’s definitely gotten pricier as everything else has, but the peaceful, meditative vibe we once looked forward to is gone. It’s so loud, you can’t even hear the music. The whisper signs are gone, so I guess we are now catering to those who want to socialize (loudly). I feel like if that’s what you want to do, there are plenty of other places to go for that. Why was the tranquility and peace of this beautiful spot compromised to accommodate loud chatter? There was also an off smell down by a couple of the public pools that was off putting. As much as we hate to do it, it may be time to find a new winter break spot.

We didn't stay at the Riverbend hotel, but at another in T & C. We reserved the Rio private pool. It lived up to it's promise. The staff were helpful and friendly. The Rio pool area was clean with enough space (two chaise lounge chairs) for our stuff. The water was divine and relaxing. It would help to have some hand holds in the pool to keep from floating to the top. Our time limit was more than adequate and we appreciated the privacy and quiet. We would certainly do it again.

Yelp
Riverbend is a very well run hot springs in Truth or Consequences. Speaking from someone who booked a time for soaking in hot springs (and not necessary hotel), everything is pretty structured. You book your appointment in advance, show up at your time (not earlier/not so much later) and will be brought into your appointment accordingly. There are lots of rules (e.g. keep quiet, cleanse your body before entering the hot spring) and keeping the place in order (limit your noise while there and keeping places clean), I found the place offered quiet an enjoyable, quick retreat from everyday's life. I would stop by this place again. I can't say much about the hotel, but the public soak was relatively a pleasant experience for me!

Yelp
Requested a private soak and it was amazing ! 50$ per person and I definitely suggest 2 hrs instead if your really trying to relax ! Vibe was amazing! Kept it quiet very peaceful and relaxing definitely will be returning it's so worth it. Once we arrived we were guided in the process very welcoming as well.

Yelp
This place is a machine. Well run and clean but lacks the touch and feel of the locals as compared to other local hot springs. I did enjoy the river views and clear intention to keep the space quiet and relaxing. I will absolutely return!

Yelp
Had an amazing time at Riverbend, don't skip it if you're in the area! We booked a private hot spring overlooking the Rio Grande. Even on a scorching summer day, it's a nice soak with the light mist in your "room" and the cold water shower you can control. Watching people crafting and floating down the Rio was also so fun. We didn't see the shared public area but highly recommend the private soak rooms!

Yelp
This was a great place to take a quick weekend getaway.loved the privacy, the view, the price was pretty reasonable per hour. They do have rules and are strict with them. So when booking, read them and follow them. This uses the natural hot springs and the water is pumped back into the ground, keep it clean.
google avatar

Rachel R.

Yelp
Initially I thought that 1 hour would not be long enough for a soak. But the timing is just about right because the hot springs get so hot. We had an 8pm appointment time for the group pools and it was perfect. Because it was so dark, we were able to see the stars from the pools. Even though this was not a private experience, the group pools were not overly crowded. It was really difficult to book and appointment. When you called the main line, they didn't answer, and the computer was glitching when we tried to book online. This was an incredible experience and definitely worth a stop if you find yourself in T or C!

Yelp
We got a private tub next to the river. It was beautiful, romantic, and scenic. Very comfortable pool

Yelp
This place is special because, as its name suggests, it's situated right on the Rio Grande. If you opt for a daytime soak, you can admire the river and its wildlife. The pretty stone pool I reserved was accented by artwork and greenery, and I appreciated the *concept of* the electronic button on each side of my private enclosure, which was supposed to be used to discreetly alert staff to guests who were not adhering to the whisper-only policy. In practice, however, it took several attempts and about fifteen minutes (more than a quarter of my soak time) for staff to actually address the noisy guests they were alerted to. Riverbend has an odd, corporate feel to it. Should you choose to soak, you can expect a surprisingly long waiver to read through beforehand, as well as a list of "DON'T"s plastered in bold lettering inside your enclosure. A large digital clock hangs nearby, so you can watch the minutes tick away, and ensure that you don't go past your allotted time. Not to worry, though: If watching the clock isn't your preferred method of relaxation, a booming voice will warn you, via intercom, that your time is almost up well in advance . . . I'm sure each of these aspects of the experience is the result of the inconsideration (or outright disrespect) of prior guests, but it collectively gives the establishment an unwelcoming air, especially when paired with the general unfriendliness of the staff.

Yelp
This place is very inexpensive for just an hour in a private hot pool. Normally I get one hour of private and one hour in the public area too. It's so nice and quiet and everyone is respectful. The pools in the public area have different temperatures so you can find one that you like best and the views are amazing of the river. We went in March and it was 55 degrees out and water was flowing in the river. A great way for a quick relaxing day.

Yelp
Very easy to sign up online. Staff very friendly. The setting--private spa looking out on the Rio Grand HEAVENLY! Very clean and well organized.

Yelp
I wouldn't exactly call myself a connoisseur of hot springs experiences, but I have been to my fair share around the area and in southern Colorado. Riverbend Hot Springs was unique in comparison to the all of the other locations that I have been to. There are pros and cons to those unique offerings, though. I was able to go with a friend who made reservations a few weeks in advance (which I would highly recommend doing) and reserved a private pool for one hour, as well as the common pools for an additional hour. I will note that for this location the prices per individual were a little on the higher end compared to other locations I've been. Specifically we paid about $40 a person for the combined sessions totaling two hours. Whereas most other places might be around the same price for a full day or half day access. Noting of course, that this was including a private session in that cost. The private sessional loan was definitely worth it as it is such a unique experience. We were in the Rio pool, which was about 108° and quite hot if I am honest. But we were able to enjoy breaks, and the cold shower that is directly above the pool for cool downs, and the hour went by very fast, but it was more than enough time at that heat level. We then went into the common pools and there were about six pools to choose from and so we hopped around a little bit to try different ones. Important things to note, upon arrival, you wait in the gazebo area for them to call you for either the private sessions or the public session. They have showers to wash off before hand. The rules are pretty strict specially regarding noise in the private pools as well as departure time. I would absolutely come again, and maybe next time make plans to stay the night. Afterwords we went to a really cool little pizza. Place right down the road and it was very enjoyable after a few hours of soaking.

Yelp
This resort and hot springs is in a very picturesque spot along the Rio Grande. The natural springs overlook the river and out to the mountains. It's very peaceful and relaxing. It's decorated really well and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly. The place is full of soft sparkly lights so the ambience is perfect day and night. Definitely a great place to stay!

Yelp
Far and away the best part of Truth of Consequences. We booked the private hot spring and it was lovely. The mountain was visible, the river was flowing, and birds could be seen swooping by every now and then. The tub itself was warm and comforting and had a flowing basin. Plus, a cool water bucket was above the tub which was so refreshing. I was only disappointed with two things - the people next to us were talking for the first ten minutes. I think they got a warning to be quiet but it didn't do much. With only 50 minutes I wish it had been quiet from the start. My last nitpick is that it was quite difficult to see the river while in the tub. The bathroom / locker rooms were helpful with a changing and shower area. We rented towels for $3 a piece and a robe for $8.

Yelp
Literally one of my favorite places to soak. I've been a number of times now and it's always clean and relaxing. It's nothing crazy so don't expect an extravagant spa. But definitely worth the stop every now and then. Have not stayed the night but my sister has and she loved it.

Yelp
June 3, 2023 - Riverbend Mineral Springs (Truth or Consequences, NM) We arrived after a 1.5 hour trip in our motor home from Las Cruces on our was to Albuquerque. We were towing our car and needed a large space to park. No problem. There is a large dirt lot with ample room across the street. We parked our rig and hung out for a while before our 11 am appointment. We turned on our generator so we could run our air conditioner and keep our pouch cool while we were soaking. It was approaching 85 degrees on this June day. They ask you to show up about 10 minutes before your soak. They want you to be showered before you get in the pool so that any residue like suntan lotion or make up aren't left in the pool. They also ask that your swimwear be clean or that you just wear your birthday suit while you soak. We were greeted a little before our soak time and were told about the rules. Mainly, whispering only while you soak and no loud noises. The goal is to relax and rejuvenate. They have about seven pools you can soak in that set just above the Rio Grande River that is literally 5 feet away from you on the other side of the wall below. Each pool area is about a 10 x 12 space. We got pool number 6. There were two nice wicker reclining chairs with a table in our space. There was a very good flow of water on the Rio Grande River during this time of year and we did see a couple of inner tubers floating down. Just beware of that in case you're a little shy of being seen wearing your birthday suit :-) There is a curtain that you can pull across the front of your pool so that people on the river can't see you. I really wasn't that worried about it. The 50 minute soak was amazing in 107 degree water. The sun was overhead, so that was a bit of a challenge. We were able to rig up a beach towel in one corner to provide a little shade. Mission accomplished! We were relaxed and rejuvenated and ready to head over to truth or consequences brewery to get even more relaxed!

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful property. I did the 50 minute private springs session and it was relaxing and quiet. Super easy check in and out as long as you follow the rules and intercom instructions. This springs definitely beats out all the others for its amazingly scenic view along the river, it was just what I needed for some rejuvenation. Would definitely shower before you arrive especially if everything is booked, as the bathroom is rather small. I'll probably come back for one of the hotter springs, though this one was still very relaxing.

Yelp
Treat yo self!!!! Self care is a must for mind, body, spirit balance. Put this on your to do list for the near future. There's several options to enjoy such as the open area 8 pools, sauna, and lounging hammock area or a more private experience by renting a private pool to enjoy solo or for up to 4 people. I opted for renting a private pool, specifically the Navajo room. What appealed to me about this room was the unobstructed view (no wrought iron wall) looking toward the river. The pool was situated close to the edge of the room so the view was nice. The cost was $35 for 50 minutes. The private room comes with two lounge chairs plus the heated pool, with a nice pull bucket feature overhead in case you get too hot and need a gentle sprinkling of cold water to cool off. This pool was heated to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. It was very comfortable. The location is a whisper zone. The room has pull curtains in case you want a little privacy. Bathing suits are optional in the private rooms. No hanky panty tho! Also no food permitted, no alcohol, no glass containers, no smoking or vaping. You can bring outside water or beverages in plastic containers. I took a bottled water. This pool had a nice flowing mini waterfall and the sounds added to the relaxing ambiance. I highly recommend treating yourself to this self care date!

Yelp
Lovely, relaxing, and very enjoyable soaking session. Very nice folks who were very helpful when I locked my keys & phone in the car. I was on my way in an hour. We came back the next day!

Yelp
We visited a couple weeks ago and the place is amazing. Karla the manager will resolve and respond to any concerns.

Yelp
I would highly recommend this place! I got a half price deal for an hour and enjoyed every minute of it. The setting right on the Rio Grande can't be beat if you love rugged desert landscapes. There are pools of varying temperature to meet every taste. If you are looking for relaxation, this is your place!
google avatar

Yelp
I have been a guest at this place several times over the years. Now there's a 2 night minimum? I can't afford that. Stay humble.
google avatar

Yelp
MUST DO! Private hot tub plus a beautiful view as the sunsets... 5 star! Actually the sun sets behind the venue but watching the reflections on the rocks is incredible. I didn't stay here but I was able to get a discount for the private hot tub from the motel I did stay at for the private hot tub. Defiantly enjoyed my quite hour in the tub... and plan to be back!

Rikki W.

Yelp
If you want to spend time relaxing, renewing and simply enjoying the pleasures of warm springs waters in a beautiful serene setting this is place. The setting along the flowing Rio couldn't be more quaint and the pools are clean, well maintained with various temperatures and sizes. T or C is quiet with a few local art galleries and restaurants. It's a great spot to soak with a few other amenities.
google avatar

Diane N.

Yelp
A relaxing option for those who are looking for a quiet, peaceful hot spring soak. We rented a private 50 min soak so that's what I'll speak on. When you step out of your car, you don't need to speak to anyone unless you plan on renting or buying anything. If you're ready to go for your soak, just rinse off in the showers and head to the outside yurt and just hang tight until someone comes to get you on the hour. It's a nice experience with the option of a fan and ceiling sprinkler in case you get to hot. After 45 min, there will be a warning to get dressed and exit the private room. A nice little surprise to us cross country travelers

Yelp
This place was absolute magic!! We went for a night soak in the public hot springs on a full moon and it was so incredible. They have such vibey lighting and the scene is stunning right along the Rio Grande with beautiful mountain ranges in the landscape. So happy we did the night soak!

Yelp
Clean hot springs. Private rooms are great but public area is ok also. Staff are nice.

Yelp
Riverbend hot springs is the reason we came to Truth or Consequences, NM. You have to make reservations months in advance as it sells out fast and it is one of the more popular places in town. We spent 2 nights on the property and it was nice, quiet and relaxing. They have several soaking areas, I counted about 5 public pools and 3 private ones. The temperature varies as well from very hot to hot. We had reservations for the private soaking pools which i have to admit was very relaxing. The view of Rio Grande made the experience even better. I was told by one of the folks working there that the access to the Rio Grande was closed due to COVID but prior to the pandemic guests were allowed access the river. I enjoyed my stay at Riverbend Hot Springs and left recharged and relaxed. Come here if you just want escape, relax and recharge!

Yelp
After a strenuous hike the day before, we booked a combo (one hour in a private pool and one hour in the common pool area) session. We were in the Navajo pool which we didn't realize was one of the deluxe pools beforehand. It was on the end so "neighbors" only on one side. No matter as you are told to only whisper. There is a privacy curtain since you are informed that the Rio Grande is a public waterway but since we were there on a Monday morning we kept the curtain open and didn't see a soul (did I mention the private pools are clothing optional)? There are, however, strict rules: no glass or food, no sexual activity, etc.) You have to exit the private pool after 50 minutes so it may be cleaned for the next guests. We then made our way to the public area where there are more pools of varying temperatures as well as comfy chairs and hammocks (which is where I found my happy place). Interesting history of how this place came to be: from minnow farm to youth hostel to hot spring resort. If we are in the area again, we would book one of the rooms that has direct access to the public pools. A very relaxing time!

Yelp
The challenge. Find a hotel with hot springs in New Mexico. Almost hesitant to review this gem because the availability was so limited, but loved this little slice of peace and tranquillity. So lucky to book the last available room for a last minute reservation. Although communication, checkin and checkout were contactless, it was very easy and informative. Sent a COVID screening survey and info on the property prior to checkin. Welcome text message sent as well. Picked up a packet outside the office that included the WiFi password, hotel information and our bands that opened our room and allowed us unlimited entry to eight "public" thermal pools for the duration of our stay. Room was basic, but perfect for an overnight stay. The real reason to stay here? Eight hot springs pools along the Rio Grande. So peaceful. Zen-like. Relaxing. Beautiful river views. Each pool is at a different temp. Limited to one family per pool. Masks and social distancing required. Private pools are also available for an extra hourly fee, but we had no issue getting a pool in the evening or the early morning. The largest pool even had a couple of comfy hammocks and was long enough to swim a few short laps in the early morning. So beautiful to see the sky filled with stars at night. Lucky to see Saturn and Jupiter so clearly. Not fortunate enough to book a room? Limited public access passes are also available. Nice for an overnight stay in Truth or Consequences.

Yelp
It's taking everything within me not to mark this as a 1 star location only because I don't want more people there and prices going up. Riverbend is a must though if you are passing through
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped into Riverbend on the way from El Paso to Albuquerque. I'm glad we did because it was such a nice a relaxing experience. I have visited these hot springs a few times and they have never disappointed. The price is about $50 per person per session. I don't think that is unreasonable but you can decide for yourself. They also have beverages for sale and towels for rent if you forget to bring your own.

Kim R.

Yelp
What a relaxing evening in the hot springs mineral with all the stars shinning down on us.

Yelp
Wow, just wow. Too bad it's so far to drive from anywhere. This was a magical experience dipping into the natural hotspring pools. We bought a property pass $25 per couple for 1 hour and rented 2 towels for $3/ea. because we forgot to bring our hotel towels. Private soaking rooms were available for more money but I wanted to experience all the pools and the common areas. We went at 8pm and there were laser lights dancing on the river and mountain (which looked like Diamond Head). About 15 people at a time were allowed in the common area, but we were able to social distance and even have some pools to ourselves. Also went in a cedar barrel sauna. The pools ranged from scalding hot to warm. The biggest pool had 2 hammocks in it. Some had a small waterfall which was nice to sit under. Glad we came at night where the cool air was a contrast to the springs and all the ambient lighting made it magical. The town itself is very small and dusty, the hotsprings are the main attraction. Not all hotsprings are this nice (i.e. are enclosed with no view or older) so do your research.

Yelp
Updating, to include pictures. Good thing I saved them. Travelers beware. I too had much higher expectations when we arrived. We felt mislead after viewing the exuberant reviews on FB, where the photos looked professionally taken. We planned to stay three nights but left after one. We were on an extended vacation and were glad to know they had RV spots. I shared my pics previously on that other travel reviewing site, that starts with a T... When we checked in, there was a line of customers. Okay, no big deal - but when I heard different 'spiels' given to other folks checking in, I started to listen closer. The "please whisper when soaking" was definitely not provided to all customers, which could have made our stay more enjoyable. Jake, the manager couldn't have been more rude, walking out with us, showing us where to park, saying 'most people unhook their rv to go into town'. I assured him we simply weren't most people, and certainly not going into town for dinner. He continued to strongly suggest that we unhook, and I emphatically said we would not, mainly because that specific information was definitely not provided by anyone prior to making the reservation. Our rig was nearly in the road, and I had wondered if we'd be hit or not. From the RV sites - only 6 - you have to cross a frequently traveled road, and the locals there are ...gasp!... none-to-respectful of the speed limit - also not mentioned before we got there. The RV sites are so close together, we couldn't even enjoy the tables provided, without sitting directly in the bushes. Again, not mentioned before we got there. The price for an rv spot was outrageous - double - compared to nicer resorts having plenty of room! Not very interesting or relaxing watching the maintenance person going about his business. Can you imagine your 5 year old asking about work attire, mentioning in child terms, her curiosity about a plumbers' crack? As in other posts, I don't have anything nice to add about the staff, so I won't add. Maybe Jake should stick to the insurance company, but then again - his unprofessionalism would surely get him booted from there. We were grateful not to have needed to spend any more money in their town. Puzzled as to why pics do not attach........................

Yelp
What a wonderful experience!!! Check in was really easy, Cinda was very helpful and informative! The room was awesome- we stayed in one of the king suites and it was beautiful. Great kitchen space, comfortable bed and cozy bathroom!! The baths were beyond anything I could have asked for. Low tranquil music was playing through the resort offering a calm atmosphere. The hammock in the main pool was my favorite. Spent a few hours lounging in the submerged hammock to the point I fell asleep several times. Minnow was the highlight of the trip, making sure we were enjoying ourselves and setting an example of how to take it slow and relax!

Yelp
Lovely rooms. Lovely pools. Lovely space. Next time I'll bring my rv. They should allow camper vans though.

Yelp
I've heard about this place by researching hot spring places in New Mexico, and this was amazing! We stayed in the budget friendly room and had two appointments for a private soak. The place was easy to find, and their check in and check out process was super easy. Their check in process with COVID was contactless by leaving an envelope by the front office that had our RFID bracelets and a map of our room. They also had a speaker that we could talk to them through if we had any issues. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. If there was anything that wasn't in the room, you could either call or text a phone number. We had a private soak in the Apache room which was amazing! It has an infinity pool and it was great! The temperature was just perfect and the view was great. The only thing that was an issue for me was the room being too hot or too cold for us. I couldn't find just the right temperature for us but that could have been an issue personally. There were three heaters in the room: one in the kitchen, two near the beds. I definitely would stay here again if I'm in the area!

LoVi F.

Yelp
They may have the most beautiful and breathtaking views but do not be deceived by their charm because they did not provide me a menu and if you know me I love food there where was a squirrel infestation in my room one was even dead in my bedroom there was rat poop everywhere and the sheets and towels were brown

Yelp
I cannot tell you how cool this place was. They really have something special here. The ambiance is perfect and makes you feel so peaceful. The common "pools" are enough for 5 people comfortably. The bigger pool is big enough for twice that many. There's plenty of comfortable seating. They have lounge chairs tables and chairs, hammocks, hanging egg chairs, papasans and couches. There's even some lounge seats for your pets. There's a nice sauna too. The views during the day are lovely with the mountain backdrop but at night its just magical. This place is sitiatef on the bank of the Rio Grande. The water on this day was almost clear and we could see a bunch of bass. There's ambient music in the background and for the most part people were respectful and kept the noise to a minimum. We also reserved a 50 min private soak in the Tierra pool and it was great having that time in private. It overlooks the river and has curtains for privacy. Let me tell you that I was grateful for the misters and overhead shower. The water was at least 105° and you could def feel it. Side. Ite: take a hat and be orepared, the eater is def hot. You might stand it for 20 mins before you get out to cool off. No food or drinks allowed in the pool areas. But I did see people with beer cans and canteens of water. The fauna all throughout the property and beautiful. We will def be back again. It's a real special place.

Yelp
I stayed here for three nights recently, while attending a conference. The rooms are reasonable for a reasonable price, and many of them have private soaking tubs. Mine did, and I greatly enjoyed it. In addition, this hotel has a lovely courtyard and a communal kitchen, so if you're in for a long stay, you don't have to eat out all the time, and you don't have to stay in your room. that's in addition to a small refrigerator and microwave in my room. I will definitely book it again when I need to be in TorC.

Yelp
Had the best experience in this Hot Springs, I booked a private soak for my 29th birthday. The water was perfect had the luck of the weather been cloudy and it made it so much relaxing. Perfect view to the Rio Grande. Personnel is friendly, you can book a room if you wish to stay the night as well. Beautiful!

Yelp
A sublime confluence of the wonders of nature and ingenuity of man. The Riverbend facilities are designed with fastidious attention to detail. Pay close attention and you will recognize the intentionality behind every design element: the soothing music, the beautiful art, the flowing spatial arrangement of soaking pools and lounge chairs, the breathtaking evening light show. When combined with the solemnity of the Rio Grande and the dignified grandeur of the mountains of southwest New Mexico, these elements form a place of mental repose and contemplation unlike any other. Stay the night; experience the waters; feel the current of the ancient river; reset and relax.

Yelp
super sad to see this former favorite distort itself in the name of profit and tourist pandering. i soaked here all the time throughout the lock-downs, back when it was private and quiet and chill and sane. soon after riverbend started refusing cash (which violates not only their customers' privacy/anonymity, but also the New Mexico state constitution), i noticed more and more loud, short-term soakers bringing cell phones into the tubs, and snapping pictures, which i found thoroughly violating, as i tried to unwind and relax in peace, without ending up bikini-clad in some random stranger's phone. when i asked management if they would please post signs dissuading cell phone use, they refused, instead trying to upsell me on a private tub. but, it wasn't until they started LIVESTREAMING their tub cams on the web, that they lost me completely. i was in T or C over the weekend with a friend who hadn't ever been to riverbend, so i put my reservations aside and got us a private tub. egads, has this place devolved. service was rude, curt and impersonal. towels were not included with the private tubs, which were poised back from the river and enclosed in what looked like a prison fence. hardly worth the money, or even vaguely comparable to the beauty and views provided at the public tubs, which are no longer haven for communal relaxation, rather a backdrop for selfie photo shoots among tourists who care not at all about hot spring culture, or other soakers' privacy or auditory peace. way to ruin a good thing, riverbend.

Yelp
It's about an hour away from las Cruces, in a little town. If you're into hot springs it definitely worth checking it out. We had our own private room, they can accommodate groups of two or three, we were 5 so we had to split which wasn't ideal. Another issue is that after showering you have to meet up at the gazebo, which is probably fine when the weather is nice but the day we got there it was freezing cold and we had to wait for 10-15 min in our swimming suit after taking a shower. The heat lamp didn't work either. I would wait for warmer weather if I would go again. Once in the warm water it feels great. The view from the tub is great, you can see the mountains and the river, though we spend most of our time submerged to keep warm. The place and change room were clean which was great!

Yelp
There is a million great things I can say about this place. From the atmosphere to the seclusion, this place was magical. I came solo and had a great experience. The place is fairly easily to find to be in the middle of no where in my opinion, but it was the getaway I needed. It is located two hours from both the El Paso airport and Albuquerque airport (I flew into Albuquerque). They have a contactless check in with your last name on an envelope outside of the office; however, there is someone in the office for any questions that you may have. I stayed in a budget friendly room and it was a decent size and clean. The only sad thing was I wish there was a fridge or microwave. When you stay the night, you are able to soak in the common pools free of charge. Common pools are a first come first served basis with one party per pool. They also have private soaks that you can reserve for 50 minutes. Private soaks are clothing optional. They have robes that you can buy also. The views of this place is spectacular. So many people have asked me how did I find this place. I googled the best hot springs in the west and when I saw pictures of this place, I knew I just had to go. Yelp
This place is a little slice of Heaven on Earth. I've been going for years, and each experience is a blessed one. My most recent visit was on my way back to LA, it's worth the detour! There are some other great hot springs facilities, but this is my favorite for private and public soak, and for overnight accommodations. Unfortunately I booked too last minute and didn't catch a room, but if you can, I recommend it! One night in T/C is all you need, unless you have no timeline. Visit nearby Hatch, NM for great green chile cuisine and roadside attractions. This place is very budget friendly, I honestly think it should only have one $. For about $10 splurge on yourself and get a private soak. This a very dog friendly facility, so ask for their special accommodations. The public pools are great as well, this entire place is an oasis of sweet little nooks. It has never been super busy when I visit, so privacy is not an issue. I love coming at sunset, the sun over the river plus the sparkly lights from the resort is magical! The staff is very friendly and helpful! There is plenty of parking, including RV parking across the street. At the end of the street there is a lovely park that has walking trails, a nice sized dog park, and a duck pond. Don't sleep on NM, it truly is the land of enchantment.

Yelp
Everything thing is just fantastic! The location can't be beat - right on the Rio Grande. The facilities are new and kept very clean. We purchased a Property Pass for $25 which gets 2 people one hour access to the public pools. One pool is the hottest and feeds the others. One pool has 2 hanging hammocks in the water - delightful!! Each pool has beautiful view of the river. We had such a wonderful time - we hope to stay here when we happen to travel again to NM.
