Riverside Cottage B&B

Fantastic place to stay in Lynmouth the balcony had a fabulous view of the river we spent a lot of time sitting there. The rooms were lovely and clean breakfast was delicious and everyone so friendly big shoutout to the crew at the meat hub|tasty food delivered to our room thank you

The most wonderful stay we had as mother and daughter for 5 nights. We have stayed in lots of different hotels/B&B's in Lynmouth and this was by far our favourite. Debbie was absolutely fantastic we loved every minute we were there, she couldn't do enough for us. Dan's breakfasts were amazing, it's not the same coming home to boring Shreddies! We will be back very soon. Thank you again for everything.

Had a really lovely stay here. The room was on the second floor with lovely views over the harbour. The host was very friendly. The cooked breakfast was plentiful. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for three nights in Room 9. Very comfortable room, clean and excellent facilities. Plenty of coffee tea and biscuits. Good selection of toiletries. Plenty of hot water for showers. It was lovely to sit on the private balcony and watch the world go by.|Breakfast was delicious, lots of fresh fruit, cereal, toast and good quality coffee. Dan looked after us and cooks a mean breakfast.|We ate in the MeatHub, we were able to have our food in the breakfast room. I can honestly say it was the best meal we had while we were away. The portions were large, and the food was cooked to perfection by Dan. Can’t wait to return later in the year.

Stayed for 2 nights. Very relaxing stay with fabulous views from our balcony looking over the river. Very welcoming with lovely breakfast, especially the porridge with honey! We ate from the Meathub which was really good! |Nothing is too mush trouble.

Horrible woman||We checked in with my 3 dogs which I put on the booking, for her to comment oh 3 dogs, it's like a dog house.||Her next comment was do they keep barking which made me feel uncomfortable, my dogs are well behaved.||She then said, because it was raining do you have a towel for them, we always wipe there feet, which gave me an impression it was to a very high standard in room. She came across as very rude which put me on edge.||We went to the room - bathroom very dated, carpet looked dirty, room dull grey walls, balcony with a view but dirty.||We went back downstairs and said we wasn't staying and not too my standards, she asked why so I told her and said I refused to pay anything she continued to be rude so we left.||I then checked my account and found that she had taken out money, so I called the B&B to talk to her about it but she hung up on me.||Avoid this plce

This is our favourite 'go to' place when we want a relaxing break. Debbie and Dan always make us so welcome and it feels like 'home from home'. The breakfasts are the best we have ever had in any establishment being quality ingredients and cooked to order. The addition of the MeatHub is also fantastic and we enjoyed two lovely meals from here. Just love Riverside Cottage. Thank you Debbie and Dan - we will be back (again). Xxxxx

You know when a business is doing something right when you return for a fourth time! Debbie and Dan yet again were the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Our room with a balcony and beautiful views overlooking the river/sea was very spacious, clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. |This year we had the added bonus of the newly opened Meathub which is attached to the B&B and provides very tasty and exceptional food, a must to try even if you don’t stay at Riverside. We tried everything on the menu and everything was delicious. The negative reviews found on the website do not reflect our experience, we’ve always received exceptional service from this B&B and have always found Debbie and Dan a breath of fresh air, from their bubbly down to earth personalities to their home made banana cake. This year has been a difficult year for my partner and I as he was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. I informed Debbie on arrival of his condition just in case he became vacant whilst talking to him and she was very understanding, in fact the laid back atmosphere and kindness of all the staff contributed to Rob feeling very relaxed, a first in months.
