Riverside Cycle Newburyport

My best friend forgot his helmet so, we stopped in to grab one. The staff there were refreshingly friendly! I’ve been a mt biker for over 25yrs and several shops now have zero personality or act as though they know better. Loved it here so much that I also bought a helmet and some LMNT drink powder that I love. Support local business, ya know? Everything was surprisingly reasonably priced. I highly recommend and will stop there again when I’m the area.

Tom and team helped me build a custom Open Cycle bike from the ground up. We stripped some components from my old bike, and he helped me pick what components I should upgrade. He answered so many questions since this was my first ever custom build. I absolutely love my bike and I highly recommend Riverside.

Tom shipped some parts out to me and there was a hiccup with UPS on the delivery but Tom made the process so seamless and worry-free. Although I havent had an opportunity to make an in-person shop visit, I have no doubts that Tom and his staff are top-notch and able to assist with all the needs of an avid cyclist🙂. Thank you!

We had a terrible fiasco traveling to salisbury where our bike rack broke & several bikes were ruined. Luckily no one was hurt. Riverside cycle was amazing!! They welcomed us with open arms into their full service store. Repaired 3 bike tires & a rim whilst we waited. Excellent customer service & super accommodating. Ty so much for saving our family vacation !!

Visited on 3/20/21 Extremely helpful staff!! Ironically was looking for some grips on the web and found the same ones i wanted in store!! The staff was so helpful in directing me to the bike accessories section of the store and was extremely informative and knowledgeable of the products and of bike related information. They do repairs in the shop downstairs and were beyond excellent customer service skills and put the grips on my bike right after purchasing! The staff here is what makes the store so grand to visit !! Camden was the rep i was working with, i had called the store earlier in the morning asking questions if they could put on some custom pieces i bought, which they can do downstairs in the workshop, and he also helped answer questions about choosing the right chains for my bike! They’re very helpful and are ready to answer any questions you’ve got and help you out! Thanks for all the help and getting my bike customed grips today ! Was able to enjoy them day of afterwards on a nice ride on plum island!

These guys are the best. I brought my 2016 specialized in with a mystery creak that I could not isolate. They knew all about the build of my (9 year old) bike and knew exactly what to go after for trouble spots. Solved my problem within 5 minutes of being there. Absolute pros. Highly recommended.

Tried to downshift while climbing the bridge over the Merrimack River & completely pretzeled my chain under the front chainring and around the crankset. Limped the bike over to Riverside Cycle where a mechanic quickly fixed the problem and salvaged the ride. Thanks for the quick service.

Riverside is exceptional. They carry a wide range of product in the shop, the mechanics are top notch, and the folks on the floor are incredibly knowledgable across the boards. Bring your rusty beach cruiser or your questions about a high end build. Truly a bike shop for everyone.

Tom and the team at Riverside are great! Had come in for the weekend from out of town, and they delivered brand new rental bikes directly to my house. Super helpful with everything along the way - highly recommend!

Awesome business. I needed a derailleur adjustment. I was met at the door by Chris who offered to help me with my bike. He then took it downstairs where another fellow took it right away to do the adjustment. Absolutely awesome service. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. When my bike was done the fellow ( sorry I didn't get his name) brought it back upstairs for me. Chris checked me out. I was on my way home in no time. I will definitely highly recommend Riverside Bike shop in Newburyport to all my friends and will definitely be back for service on my bike when needed. Thank you. Cheryl

I live in town and have been here numeroustimes over the years, always with mixed results. Today was no different. I was looking for a part for an older custom made bike. They didn't have it, which is understandable, but no attempt to try to help me find it. (without it, I can't ride the bike). As if that isn't bad enough, the mechanic trashed my bike as I left. I proceeded to go to Exeter Cycle where I was treated so well. While they didn't have the exact part, he had something close to it. Then he took the time to inform me where I might find it. Guess where I will be going in the future?

I cannot speak highly enough about Phil and the other guys in the service department. I brought in my Specialized e-bike, which was making a strange clicking noise; Phil took out the motor and battery, which he cleaned and lubed, and checked the torque according to instructions from Specialized. The bike now rides perfectly, and he/the shop refused to charge me anything. They service my Trek hybrid as well, and I am always pleased with this excellent, amazing, personal, small town service.

I highly recommend Riverside Cycle for many reasons! I typically visit the Manchester by the Sea location. The customer service team is excellent! I recently purchased a new bike for our teenage son. The team helped find a good fit for his needs and our price point. The repair team has helped us out many times with last minute repairs and regular tune-ups. Excellent selection, quality and service.

Excellent customer service yesterday when, the first day of a week-long bike trip, my wheel was bent. The manager kept the shop open when I arrived late, found a new rim and attached it with my bike strapped on the car. Thank you for helping us start our journey!

really nice bike mechanic just helped me out ... fixing a DIY that had gone awry on my old Puch Paladin townie rig. He got right on the job, replaced a stripped screw & reattached the pesky derailleur & got me back pedaling the streets of the Noobs. Many thanks!

There are you few times you go into a business expecting good service, and end up with an above and beyond experience. Camden is an incredible asset to the Riverside Cycle team and takes to the time to understand your thoughts/needs, presents solutions, and make sure you leave with all your questions answered. I showed up with a flat back tire, he grabbed me a new tube, asked if I wanted to learn how to do it, and went step by step. Overall, an incredible experience and I will keep coming back and tell friends to do the same - Well done, Camden.

Horrible Customer Service. During the 4 minutes I was inside the shop it looked as if they had lots of stock, great bikes, lots of parts..everything a great bicycle shop should have although they were missing the most important...crucial thing a business like this should have... and that is customer service. They actually don't have a clue about customer service (or sales) and I will never return. I was on a bike ride today with multiple families, lots of kids and when we got downtown Newburyport via the Clipper city Rail trail (which is awesome) we were MILES away from my vehicle, and my rim got warped. The rim was rubbing against the frame just enough to make the bike very difficult to ride due to the friction and the constant rubbing. But as luck would have it, I was 1 mile from Riverside Cycle and everyone in town assured me that our huge family bike day would not be ruined as Riverside will surely come to the rescue. Well, that did not happen. I brought my mountain bike inside, explained the situation and asked for some help or recommendations as there were about 11 family members waiting outside for me to come back fixed so that we could continue our day! I know plenty about bikes and the first thing I asked was if they could sell me an entire new wheel. Price was of zero concern to me (I would have spent $300 dollars for one wheel if thats what it took) but nope, they barely even looked me in the eye (and there was CERTAINLY zero empathy for my crappy situation). All he said was "nope" and they said we don't carry that size wheel in stock. OK, I can understand that, so next I was hoping they could try and true up the rim with a spoke wrench and maybe just get it just 1 or 2mm back in line so that it could at least be ridden back to my vehicle, but nope...they couldn't be bothered. One very nice young employee actually offered to give it a try, but his boss immediately told him not even to bother trying. I actually wasn't sure if I heard him right, so I asked him to clarify. "Sir I am very far from my vehicle with my children outside and this worker just said he would actually give it a try. Would it be ok if he spent 5 minutes trying to true it up slightly so that that it is at least rideable back to the car?" "NOPE" he said. "I can already tell by looking at it, that we could never get back to straight." he says. So i reply, "Well, i don't need it straight, I can see that it is very warped, i just need to know if you will let him spend a few minutes trying to make it any better than it is?" "NOPE" was his reply. So, I asked him one final question which was... "So let me get this straight, I am in a bicycle shop and you don't want to sell me anything and you don't want to do anything to help me fix my bike?" He offered no explanation, barley looked me in the eye, and I left. 1. I was never rude or unprofessional, so this is not the rant of some person who is disillusioned and was not offered good service because of my attitude, he was actually completely uninterested in me as a human being and just couldn't wait for his shift to be over. 2. The place was empty, I was actually the only customer in the store, so its not like I was getting in the way of more important revenue. I could actually understand that too, if they were selling bikes like hotcakes and my little problem was insignificant, but no...he was just rude and uninterested in helping me as a human being. 3. They never once offered me any possible creative solution at all. I can think of about 5 things i might have suggested like maybe they have a rental, or a loaner, or maybe they may have thought of giving me a lift to my car, or calling me a taxi or something... anything... NOPE. Not concerned. The funny part? They didn't even offer to sell me a bike! Haha! Massive FAIL. I am actually currently in the market for new Mountain bike and had they showed the slightest bit of empathy and then said: "Jeesh, Mr. Customer, I am so sorry that we don't have that size wheel in stock and that the rim is so far beyond repair. Would you be interested in purchasing a New bicycle so that you and your family can enjoy this beautiful day? Maybe I could give you 10% off any bike in the store to get you on your way?" Now I am not saying this just because it is convenient, but it is true! If he had made the statement above, I would have spent somewhere between $1500 and $2500 on a new bike! Honestly. What a missed opportunity. In closing, take if from me, a local Bestselling Sales Author and VP of Sales at a Global, Boston based Software Company, that this guy behind the counter with the glasses, does not understand sales. Id be happy to come in and run a clinic on how to treat customers, what customer service is, and how to SELL. Man you could have at least sold me my own spoke wrench and told me to try myself. Btw, I rode it all the way home. It was NOT beyond (a little) bit of help.

I needed a small screw for adjusting my front derailleur on a vintage bike. I had been to several stores with no luck, the local hardware store suggested Riverside,low and behold they had one. The best part of the story is it was free. I would highly recommend them and plan on taking my Giant there this spring for my annual tune up.

Broke off a Time pedal mid-ride and had to stop here. Only carried Shimano and were very friendly and helpful but wow, what a steep price. I paid $138.11 for Shimano 105 pedals (including tax and installation). For comparison the same pedals (Shimano 105) are on Amazon for $67.99, Shimano Ultegra's for $98.99, and Shimano Dura-Ace for $169.99. I love supporting the local shops (I obviously got the pedals instantly) but in hindsight I should have just taken an Uber home and bought the Ultegra's.

I bought a rather high end (for me) bike a couple of months ago to take down south for the winter. After many weeks of riding, I reluctantly concluded that it just didn't fit me or my riding comfort that well (absolutely nothing wrong with bike...just my own personal "fit"). The team at Riverside in Newburyport (Tom, Ryan, Andy) could not have been more accommodating in offering to either modify or exchange the bike. No questions asked, no hassles....just a genuine interest in figuring out the best bike for me. I know we are all used to searching the internet to get the best deals but you simply cannot put a price on this type of expertise and customer service. If I had bought this bike on line I would have been flat out stuck. I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Riverside and the value of doing business locally with folks who are about cycling.

Tom (aka Lefty) was super helpful and friendly! He made our bike rental go smoothly and even shared a few laughs with our group. Everyone was professional, the store is extremely clean & organized! Can't wait to come back!

I can't say enough about the great service I received from Zack and Phil. I'm from Connecticut but I have a good friend with a place up here, so I get up here quite a bit. It's one of my favorite areas to cycle. Anyway, got a flat on a ride out to Ipswich and looked this place up. What a delightful find. Turns out I needed a new tire as well. Zack and Phil spent considerable time going over options and repaired my bike and had me back on the road within an hour. A truly great bike store, and good guys too.

Their employees should wear name tags that say 'rude', 'ruder', and 'rudest'. I went to a bike shop in NH and spent $600 today just to avoid setting foot in Riverside. I mentioned to the shop owner that we came from MA because our local shop had the meanest, rudest staff and he said, "oh, Neeburyport?" That speaks volumes. The guys in the shop downstairs are nice and helpful. It's most of the upstairs crew that need etiquette lessons.

Bought our bike carrier and all of our bikes here. Great staff, very accommodating, always in great biking spirits. When I bring bikes for accessory adds, no time wasted attaching all so we are on our way to the rail trail! They take the time to ask the right questions to ensure the purchase meets the needs.

These guys saved my ass! Me and a buddy started at 5am to ride from Boston to Portland. Last train leaving Portland was at 6:45pm. 14 miles into the ride, my rear derailleur imploded and took some spokes with it. My buddy, (the first guy to save my ass on this day), had brought his chain tools. He was able to shorten my chain and convert my bike into a single speed. The ride continued with the plan being we would ride until we found an open bike shop on or near our planned route. We knew it would be hours before a shop opened, but figured we would exhaust all options before we called it a day. It was sloooooooow going on a single speed, but sometime before 10am we hit Newburyport. I was half expecting the bike shop to tell me I was shit out of luck, or that it would take a couple days, but much like the E.R. at Mass General, the staff at Riverside Cycles sprung into action. It was nothing to them! Like everyday some guy riding from Boston comes in on a busted bike telling them he has a train to catch 100 miles away. Scott, the ace mechanic, took my bike, told me it would take about 20-30 minutes, and pointed us to a kick ass bakery (key lime whoopie pies) where we could refuel while we waited. When i went back to get my bike, Scott asked about our route to Portland. He was nice enough to call his wife to make sure the Route 1 bridge was open (we had no idea it had even been closed, I guess it was hit by a Tug boat or something and just reopened a week ago). He also recommended some joints to eat in Portland if we had any time to spare. Thanks to Scott and the guys at Riverside Cycle we made it to the train 30 minutes before departure. A little close for comfort, no time for duck fat, but not at all possible without Riverside Cycle. Speedy service, fair prices, great staff, and unheard of refreshing customer service. If you are anywhere near Newburyport, please go checkout Riverside Cycle and thank Scott for me.

The Cannondale rep turned me on to these guys when I broke the frame on my Scalpel Ultimate. They had a new rear in stock and I drove the 90 minutes up from Boston to catch them before a big race. I got stuck in traffic but Scott he Team Mechanic for the store team stuck around and got me sorted out - he then proceeded to give me some great hacks to make the bike even better. Sure it cost me a few bucks, but he saw the bearings were already grinding, replaced them, had a new idea for a more efficient bottom bracket and swapped that out, and changed out my headset. All about two hours after the shop was meant to close. Awesome mechanical work - dedicated to getting it right, and stuck around to provide great service. Great place to have a MTB tweaked, especially if it's Cannondale. But beware! Scott doesn't drink beer so if you want to thank him, bring a pint of Ben & Jerry's. (The Cannondale Rep got the beer!)

Aaron & his crew at Riverside are so terrific that I call it my "local" bike shop even though I live in North Andover, and it's a 20 minute drive (or 50 minute ride) to get there. Alex is right: It's not just a shop - it's a community. Once you connect into Riverside, you connect into their rides. They have a big variety, from ones for local sightseeing tours for people on hybrid bikes, to club rides for faster riders (in association with the Essex County Velo cycling club), rides for mountain bikers and cyclo-cross riders, and routes for people looking to jump on a cruiser bike to ride around wonderful, tourist-friendly Newburyport. And once you connect to the rides, you build friends with other folks who like Riverside. The store has upped it's game recently, bringing in some new blood that's been really helpful at polishing this already-shiny jewel. The team has done some remodeling, pushed product growth, and otherwise built on what was a terrific base. This season (2011) will be a good one at Riverside. I bought my "mid-life crisis" (read "top-end") bike at Riverside after shopping all the main bike shops north of Boston. Yeah, it was partly about bike choice, but I could have bought this particular bike from one of several stores, and Aaron won me over with his attention to detail and willingness to let me be anal-retentive and not get bent out of shape. ;-) He also more than demonstrated his skill as a bike fitter. He took plenty of measurements of me in all kinds of straight, and bent-up positions, and after doing the initial dial-in using the measurements, he really REALLY knew what to tweak to improve my power transfer to the bike, my comfort, and my happiness. He also used my old bike to check out my overall riding position & style before he ordered my new frame, and in fact improved my fit on my old bike - despite me having paid to have a full fit on it at another shop (that used much more high-technology to fit me) just months before. I MUCH prefer Aaron's fit to the high-tech fit; I'm more comfortable, more powerful, and he just instinctively dialed it in for me. It's a good demonstration of bike fit skills. By the way - I felt the price for the bike was more than fair, given his investment into making it work for me. Oh, and it's a great repair shop, too :-) I've had several bikes serviced there, and each time I learn something. I recently was having front derailleur troubles, and the mechanic showed me 3 things I was doing wrong in self-servicing my bike. You can tell the greatness of a shop by how orderly the benches are; the benches are out for all to see at Riverside, and they're always organized. This = good repair shop, IMHO. Riverside is one of those local bike shops that you should know, love, and spend your money at. Bike shops overall are frequently labors of love of the owners; often running on too-thin margins with customers that either are frustrated, or in love with their bikes. But they run bike shops because they love bikes, and the people who ride bikes. Make friends with your local bike shop; it'll be good for you, and for them. And Riverside is the place to do it.

Not just a bike shop, a bike community. Riverside is the only full blown bike shop in Newburyport but they are not resting on the laurels of their monopoly in this bike friendly town. Riverside carries a full range of high to low end mountain, road, cross, commuting, fitness and kids bikes, BMX and some skate stuff too. All of the staff has deep knowledge of the various bike categories and most of them compete in one genre or of the sport or the other. Everyone who works there is extremely knowledgeable and they are all real enthusiasts of the bike lifestyle. But you won't feel intimidated or out of your league with this fun, friendly staff. All year round the shop organizes several group rides each week for road or mountain biking for a wide range of abilities. They have a mailing list for weekly rides, they hold maintenance clinics and bike demo days. This is a fantastic shop in the heart of some beautiful riding.

Has to be the best bike store in the state for service. They are the nicest guys and will spend the time necessary to properly fit a bike. Both the road bike and mountain bike selections are huge. Everyone from the casual rider to the hardcore riders can find something here. Everyone who works in the shop is a rider themselves and have used most if not all the products they sell. If you want a great bike shop who isn't going to hassle you as well as provide information on local rides and the cycling community, this is it. The beginning of the year bike sales are the best in the state. Find me a bike shop that would put a sub $1000 bike on sale at 20% off with the economy the way it is, well....they did it. I have been a customer for 20 years of various bike shops from Boston north. These guys are tops when it comes to sales and service. Their customer service is bar-none and they go out of their way to help you. You can buy your parts cheap online or even bikes. But supporting a local shop like Riverside provides benefits you will get back ten-fold for the cheap entry price of online parts. Service, recommendations, help in a pinch, I can't speak more highly for the guys.

Sent mail requesting cost of rental, since I was going close by on vacation from CA. They sent me the weekly rental charge and they requested the size bike I am used too. I sent them the info and was quite impressed thinking they are going out of their way to make my ride excellent. When I went to rent/pick up the road bike the price went up $100 more. Not happy. On vacation with no bike as planned. I have read the reviews of this shop and was expecting better. I had been to this place for 3 other times/years vacations and have been very happy with their service.

Best Bike Shop Ever!!! I found Riverside while on vacation as I was in dire need of a bike shop to fix 3 bikes that were damaged enroute to our vacation spot in NH. not only were they able to fix 2 of the bikes in record time (about 1 hour) but I was sold an amazing Cannondale as my bike was damaged beyond repair (bent frame etc). The service staff were attentive and took care of the issues and were very helpful. Upstairs in the show room they showed me different options for a replacement to my MT Bike. I ended up with a hybrid (MT Bike & Road Bike). it is by far the best bike I have ridden. Thank you to all at Riverside as I only wish I lived closer....Keep up the great work & awesome Customer Service as it goes a long way.

Not sure what all the elitist/snobby comments are about, but my boyfriend and I were in today for some pretty basic repair/tune-up work and the repair people were prompt, knowledgeable and super friendly even though our bikes aren't snazzy in any way. Highly recommended.

Went in looking for a pair of gloves. Manager (Hav) waved we toward the rack without looking up. Made me feel like a nuisance. Selection was limited to racing or winter. Nothing for summer/casual/mountain. I am online now buying gloves, bags, mirrors. So much for customer relations.

If I could give these guys 10 stars I would! My experience with Tom and Aaron at Riverside has been great! It begins last year when an out-of state bike shop shipped my awesome carbon-fibre road bike to Riverside for a rebuild. The other shop packed the bike incorrectly and it arrived to Riverside with a broken and unfixable frame,and missing components which would cost a ton to replace. Tom was on the phone in a hot minute to tell me the bad news, and to say that he would work with the other shop to replace the frame, even though the other guys had forgotten to insure the bike when they shipped it! He and everyone at Riverside made the experience as seamless as possible. When the other shop tried to back out of the deal, they all went bat for me until i was on a new and awesome bike, at no charge to me,... And They've been great on repairs when needed ever since... More recently I've been in the market for a commuting bike. Tom and Aaron have been so helpful and patient to help me find the right bike despite my cranky knee and back issues, and pretty limited budget. I'm looking forward to making this next purchase from them soon. I can't recommend the shop enough, and hope you stop by too!

These guys hooked us up with our bikes for the day on Monday and were super helpful and friendly. The dog Cooper is awesome. Cheap rentals too, with pretty much no time limit except "be back before we close". Looks like they have a pretty sick selection of bikes for sale too.

Woke up to a flat tire this morning and thought my bike riding was done for the day. I live about 45 minutes away from Riverside Cycle but frequently ride in the Newburyport area. I was quite happy to discover their shop this morning and their service center! The folks I encountered were very friendly and helpful. The tube was replaced in my back tire, air pressure checked in both tires and I was in and out in less than 30 mins! My much needed ride out to Plum Island was saved! Very happy to find a good shop close to the area I ride in most!

When your bike is broken, you take it to a shop with trepidation. For example, how long will it be out of service? Will the repairs be done right? Will I be ripped off? At Riverside, the customer service is off the charts. Yes, the service department has plenty of bikes lined up needing major specialized work, but if you come in with a minor problem--an adjustment, flat, spoke--they make someone available to do the fix immediately. They want: 1. Satisfied customers and 2. As few bikes in "service storage" as possible. I've now been a customer for 15 years and regard this shop as one of Newburyport's treasures. I'm not big on writing reviews except when I find an exceptional business. Riverside is one.

I meant to write this review months ago, but I never motivated to. Sadly I called these guys the other day and was reminded about the horrible service. In short, these guys are your typical elitist biker shop jerks with absolutely no reason to be that way. Last fall I went in on a Saturday and dropped off my bike with a request to adjust the disc brakes. They said it would take a few days and I said that I would pick it up the following Friday. They said it would definitely be done. The next Friday I went in to pick it up and they said it wasn't ready. I had a ride planned for Sunday, two days later. They said that they were busy and that it would most certainly be done the following morning. I went back to the shop at noon thee next day with my 6 year old daughter. I asked if the bike was ready and they said no and then the service manager decided to be excessively rude in front of my child when I explained my situation. His combative attitude escalated to the point that I had to sit my daughter down afterwards and explain the sad reality abouthow some people on this planet are genuine unpleasant and mean individuals. I could not believe the way he behaved with a customer, never mind the fact that I had a child with me. The fact that he was so horribly rude in front of my kid is beyond reproach. That was episode one. Then a few days ago I called riverside. I said that I was a customer and I was just curious if they knew the condition of the local mtb trails. It's been a muddy spring and winter and I suspected that the trails might still be wet. Who better to ask than my local bike shop. The guy who answered the phone didn't know, but he kindly asked a few of his colleagues who had been on the trails. His response: they said you cannot ride them or you will ruin them for the rest of us for the whole season.... He elaborated a bit from there. Wouldn't any person with some semblance of customer service experience just say something along the lines of: the trails are still wet so let them dry out.... Maybe I'm over reacting here, but the way that the guy responded was clearly that of yet another elitist cyclist in a bike shop... Bottom line, I live nearby and will likely go back only because it is convenient. If you have a choice and the time, go somewhere else. Leave these guys alone to ponder why they feel the needs to behave so poorly and maybe someday realize that customers do speak up in forums like this. Oh and for the owner, maybe you should chat with your staff about their attitude. You are in a small community where people talk and it can't be good for business. It would be sooooo great if this place had more decent people working there than guys like the service manager and the others there with the horrible attitudes.

The service these guys provide is far and away the best I have experienced from any company. I have purchased three bikes from Riverside. The attention to the customer is fantastic. They remember my name when I walk in and are always extending a welcoming hand to shake. They have tuned a funky derailleur twice for no charge on my Specailized Fatboy. Prices are not the best, but they are very competitive. Price does not matter to me if the product is good and the customer service is good, and here at Riverside both are stellar. Shops like this is why you don't buy online. Go to your local bike shop and buy your bike there. And if you live around here, buy it at Riverside.

The service guys are great. The guys upstairs are rude and condescending. If it wasn't for the convenience of the location I would find another place.

I was very disappointed with the service I received at Riverside. They were more interested in making a sale than in helping me find the right bicycle for me. I'm a novice biker and having never purchased a bike of this quality, I had many questions. When I asked about the different features and functions on the bikes, I was told only that I didn't have to worry about 'those things". The sales person was very keen on selling me one particular bike that he kept guiding me to without providing explanation about the other bikes, or providing explanation about why this bike was especially good for me. After riding the bike, I decided it didn't really fit well and I wasn't even offered other bikes to try. That sales person gave up on me and helped someone else. They only care about the sale and not the customer!

Customer Service makes or breaks a store and Riverside Cycle sets the mark for excellent service. I stopped in yesterday to replace a bike that had been stolen and even after doing a fair amount of research was not sure what I wanted/needed. Tom made sure I was not buying too much or too little bike and explained in detail why he suggested the bike I ultimately purchased.He made sure it fitted me perfectly and explained why he was making the changes and what to keep an eye open for. This morning went for my first long ride and I am extremely pleased with my purchase. Highly recommended

I have not purchased a bike from Riverside, but I have used their service department on several occasions. Each time the repairs were completed promptly and with great attention to detail (and at a fair price). Also, the mechanics take the time to explain what they did to remedy the problem instead of taking your money and pushing you out the door.
