Riverside Hotel Durban

I had the privilege of attending a function recently at this hotel. The staff are truly amazing from the time you enter till you leave. The place is so tidy and beautiful, and quite easy to find. If you love the beach, then it's definitely a short trip for you. The area is also close to major intersections, so getting in and out is still a great experience!

The rooms were beautiful, and very well maintained, service was extordianry and very friendly, although they are understaffed and waiting for food takes long. The menu could definitely have a wider variety, especially for younger groups. Other than that, absolutely stunning.

Riverside Hotel made our farewell function truly memorable. The buffet selection was generous and delicious, from starters to dessert. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. An excellent venue for any special occasion!

The 2 stars are for the great service and the decor in the room. The food was absolutely terrible. The breakfast and lunch is easily the worst food that I've ever had in my life. We got food poisoning and spent days trying to recover from it. The food was bland and not fresh at all. The conference centre food was slightly better. Something needs to be done about that. The rooms need updating, but they were very clean and well decorated. The beds were comfortable, and the coffee/tea station was also cute. The bar area closes really early. Security is hostile. I would not stay here again!

I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for the wonderful experience I had during my stay this past weekend. The level of service provided by your staff was truly exceptional, and it made for an amazing visit. I was particularly impressed by Mannie. Listening to his morning news update showcased his knowledge and attention to detail. Furthermore, his ability to address customers by name and the clear passion he has for his work was truly remarkable. It's evident that his dedication filters down and positively impacts the entire team. This was my first stay at your hotel, and I can confidently say that it will be my only choice whenever I am in Durban. Well done to Mannie, all the staff, and the leadership team for creating such a positive and high-quality experience. Thank you again for everything.

The warmth and welcome was amazing, from all stuff members, you start at security and you feel the love from all people, they are so helpful. As for me I am a sleeping bird, Thursday I was late and couldn't make it to breakfast but the well mannered lady at reception insisted to help me, asked the kitchen stuff to pack the breakfast for me, and they saved me money because I was going to buy something on the road. I love Riverside thank you.

The hotel itself is very beautiful and it comes with a beautiful view. The only thing is that the shower is so small that you can hardly move much. Check-in should be early, not at 3 .The food at the restaurant wasn't that good for breakfast. But overall stuff is very helpful and welcoming.
