A delightful little Hotel in a lovely rural location. We booked this place as a one night stopover on our travels through Wales and to be near enough to Aberystwyth to catch the steam train in the morning (40min drive) The location was perfect, quiet and peaceful. The service was amazing and the food was delicious (we both had their Welsh Lamb burger and have to say it was the best burger ever). Room 4 was lovely. It was clean comfortable and well appointed with a lovely Shower room. Altogether a lovely stay. Keep up the good work. 👍

Had an evening meal this evening and the staff were pleasant and attentive. The beer and cider was well served. My wife had a pasta dish which was fine, I ordered local beef steak pie with a rich gravy and the waitress was kind enough to substitute chips for mash. On arrival, the first two chunks of beef in the pie were gristly fatty horrible pieces of beef that were undercooked and frankly appalling. The waitress agreed and said she wouldn’t eat it either. Fair enough, the dish was taken away and not charged for. The minuscule gravy jug contained watery gravy that was not even of packet quality. We are used to rich complex gravy that has been derived from concentrated bones and stock, not anaemic bland characterless liquid made in 2 minutes. If I had stuck with this plate of food, I would have been turned off steak pie. Throughout, the staff were courteous but if I had been chef, and witnessed the quality of the undercooked gristle served tonight I would have apologised. My bill was £82 for three people, no starters, one ice cream and an average Merlot. We plan to cook at home tomorrow evening.

Visited the area for the weekend recently, ate here twice and both times were delicious. The roasts are amazing. They have a solid wine list and all the staff were friendly and efficient. We got some good weather and even got to sit out back on the picnic tables which was lovely. A lovely spot, family friendly, filled with locals, would recommend to anyone and will definitely be back!

Lovely evening meal here recently. I had the 3 meat pie with chips and veg. My husband had the burger. Both meals wonderful and very reasonable price served in a very pleasant restaurant. Good beer garden as well and dog friendly.

We didn't stay at the Riverside but visited in the evenings for food and drink while staying locally. Our meals were lovely, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Tried a different real ale every evening and all were very nice, kept well and presented well. Hope to return when we visit the area again.

Lovely local pub, friendly staff and great food. Only went for food but they offer rooms too. Beautiful location, with a carpark and multiple campsites nearby. Great value for money, with great food and service. Dog friendly too.

Charged over £6 for a pint! Told at the bar it’s a cost of living crisis! No wonder when these guys are charging over 6 quid a pint and 30 quid for a steak?! Lovely pub and setting just way over priced.

Weekend on motorbikes over the hills to Machynlleth and Aberdovey. Great pub, lovely food, plenty of parking and the rooms are excellent.....it feels like the staff take a real pride in this community owned hotel....
