There's three basics that any hotel needs to get right, no matter the price. The bed, the shower and cleanliness. Well, as the song goes, two out of three ain't bad. The need was very good and enabled a good sleep. The room was clean, so all good there. The shower was poor. I'm not a fan of shower over bath, but when the bath is so small it's unusable, then it's just a waste of space and forces me to climb over for no reason. Overall the bathroom was tiny and for no reason. There's heaps of space either side of the bed, so it could have been made bigger. Staff were great and there's free parking with your stay. Had a coffee at the restaurant and it was also good. Overall, a pleasant stay.

Clean, adequate space, table and 2 chairs, wardrobe with hangers, etc.|Shower cubicle: good barrier, no leakage of water to wash basin/toilet area. However, missing tray for body wash and shampoo cum conditioner, so had to put body wash gel and shampoo/conditioner on the floor. Only 20ml of body wash (and 2 tubes of conditioning shampoo) for 3 persons for 3 nights stay. Tap was too short for filling up kettle. Ought to install taller tap.|Should have a couple of hooks behind door (to hang clothes while showering or while using the toilet) and cord in shower cubicle (to hang washed underwear and socks).|One bedside table had no power socket. Power sockets were suitable for domestic travellers but not for international travellers.

While the location is convenient the standard of rooms is very poor. No soundproofing at all so you can hear everything your neighbours are doing. Bathroom is very basic with very poor shower pressure. There is no safe in the room, the linen smells. Not sure how it rates 4 stars ? We will not be back as there are better options in Brisbane.

This hotel is not fancy but it has everything you need to be comfortable and daily room service. Bed was comfortable and good pillows. Has a good range of applications on the TV to keep you entertained. Close walking distance to the city and Southbank eating places, cinema and concert hall!

Stayed here to go to two footy games. Hotel was within comfortable walking distance of both. Had State of Origin deal for dinner and breakfast. Dinner was tasty and just the right price. Brekky was not to bad, and again, the right price. ||Room was clean and pretty comfortable. It has a little kitchenette and washing machine so longer stays are well accommodated. ||Hotel is very central and a 5 minute walk to Southbank precinct and 10 minute walk to Queen St Mall. Both have lots of food.

Over last 12 years have stayed at this venue and enjoyed our stays until last night. Room was not cleaned properly. Was a 1st floor room right above large bins (very bad) . Noise from hall way during Night was very loud and Unacceptable. Smell from bathroom was like sewerage due to poor drains. Mattress was hard and very uncomfortable. Rooms are tired and old and need a new lease of life. No cutlery in room . Fridge hummed all night. Also local street appears to be over run with drug affected people. Definitely not the Hotel it used to be even staff are very unsociable .

The best location next to the river, South Bank, the cultural Centre, and easy walk into the CBD. We were in room 205 close to the road bridge but the glazing must be good as we barely heard the traffic. This hotel is great value with everything you need and expect from more expensive hotels: room is serviced every day, toiletries and hairdryer, tea& coffee even biscuits, and milk in the fridge. Plenty cups, glasses, tissues, extra blankets and pillows. Everything is clean and the shower has wonderful strong pressure and easy to adjust hot and cold water taps. We stayed for 2 nights and will definitely stay again when we need to be in the city. Parking is complimentary, secure, and seems to be plenty bays available. Thanks to Tracey who was friendly, helpful and seems to wear many hats as she was servicing the rooms and working on the front desk. The hotel may be getting old, and there are signs of wear and tear, but some of the negative reviews are unfair as the hotel is overall well maintained and very clean.

Well located hotel for easy access to Southbank, Suncorp Stadium or for shows at the QPAC. Staff were friendly and attentive during check in. Fortunately we were only staying for the one night as the hotel is pretty tired and in need of a refurbishment. Bed had a plastic under sheet which made an annoying noise every time you rolled over at night. Tried to do some work on the inside table but it was extremely wonky and I ended up sitting outside. This place is suitable if you’re not fussy or need to stay close by to the previously mentioned amenities.

Yelp
I found this hotel on lastminute.com as we decided to stay in the city for the night. Firstly for what we paid for the night it was great. Being only 10 mins from QPAC was the clincher. We were able to walk there and back saving us money and time on a taxi. We were welcomed by a very friendly bloke at the front counter for check it, this was sorted quickly and it was explained how we access the car park and the best place to park in there for our room. The room that we had was a simple 1x queen bed and 1x single bed. There was a tv, table, chair and the beds. The lighting in the room was looked after by a stand alone floor lamp. While this did the job, it did make the room a bit dark and dull. The bathroom was simple. Shower over bath, toilet, basin with full wall length mirror. There wasn't much room in the bathroom for 2 people to get ready. The shower over bath was a bit small as well (however there was great hot water and good water pressure). The curtains were block out. The room did smell a bit musty and closed up (maybe while they are cleaning the room they could open the balcony door and let some fresh air in) however once the air conditioning was turned on it disappeared quickly. Would I stay there again? Yes. For what we needed it for it was money well spent with a comfortable bed.
