The hotel is clean and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The room was a little dated but clean with all the facilities needed to cater for yourself. There was a restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast was buffet style with lots of choice. We ate in the restaurant one evening the food was delicious. There was an outdoor pool with complimentary towels. The location is perfect. Lots of nice cafes, bars and restaurants a minute away. Southbank Parklands is a 7 minute walk away. The Museum of Queensland and all the theatres were within a 7 minute walk of the hotel. My only gripe was when I booked it. It said breakfast was included. It turned out it wasn't. I did challenge this with the lovely reception staff but as I had no proof we had to pay. Note to self: take a picture next time it says breakfast included.

3 stars is for room purely because the hotel is tired. But for the price, it's excellent. It has everything you need. Even a balcony. The room was clean. Staff excellent. We will stay here again. The only thing missing was a teaspoon or stick to stir our tea. But we improvised by swirling the sugar with some boiling water first. Problem solved. Parking included In price. Fantastic. Cafes are nearby and walking distance to Little Stanley Street restaurant district and QPAC theatres and art gallery.

Staff and location are the only good thing. Staff was generally nice. Although I made a couple of requests that couldn't be met, the staff we dealt with tried to be accommodating. The location is also generally good, although it does require a bit of walking to get to ferry stop, South Bank or CBD. But if you don't have issues with at least 15 mins walk, this location is ok. If you are on the lower floors and facing the city, however, the rooms can be affected by street noise as a main street is just outside the hotel. But really this hotel is just good for sleeping. Hotel is very outdated, with cheap finishing and not very clean. The shower doors were broken, the seals are just dirty and everything is of the cheapest quality you can get. While the main bed is comfortable, the sofa bed is terrible. Also, with 2 little kids, the pillows are way to high and when we requested smaller/flatter ones, we were told there's only one kind of pillows. The chrome cast sounded like a good option, but couldn't manage to work it, it was an endless buffering due to wifi issues. Although we had 4 people booked in the apartment, there are only amenities for 3 (like chairs, cups, plates, etc). Towels and other amenities (like dish liquid, soap etc) were not replenished daily although finished and we had to ask for them. The blanket is just sandwiched between 2 sheet and in general the sheet and blanket were not clean.

Location was great, easy walk to the CBD and Southbank.Close to everything Museums and Resturants.Very clean.Easy to park the car. Resturant onsite- value buffet breakfast. Pool was refreshing after a day of sightseeing. Had a balcony with view of the bridge- noise was not a problem. Nic at reception was exceptional- he is a credit to the hotel!

We chose this hotel because it’s close to a place with past memories, so it felt meaningful to stay here again. Although the location is generally convenient, we arrived on a day when the Airtrain wasn’t running directly to the nearby station. We ended up walking almost 30 minutes to reach the hotel — tiring but also enjoyable as we stopped along the way to take photos and appreciate the nearby views. The room provided very minimal toiletries, but the bedsheets and towels were clean and bright white, which we appreciated. However, the carpets along the walkways and in the room looked like they were due for a deeper clean — made a little more noticeable since I had forgotten to bring along my bedroom slippers. One thing I really appreciated was that the lift opens directly to the 2nd floor, which made access much easier for me after my recent TKR. I also want to compliment the front desk team for their prompt service — they immediately provided a new kettle when I mentioned that the one in the room was stained. Overall, it was a meaningful stay with some pleasant moments, and a few areas that could be improved.

Excellent value for the location. The hotel is older than those around it, but it is way cheaper. You can walk to everything in South Bank and it is easy to walk to the bus/train from the hotel. It is clean and secure. The walls are thin and you can hear your neighbours, especially if they arrive back late at night!

We stayed for 4 days/3 nights. Arrived late and yet the receptionist Anna greeted us with enthusiasm. Even if it is already late and ending her shift, she still had the time to show us where we could get cheap and decent food at that time and explained and show us how to access entrance to the wing where our room is if we come in late. Our room had the view of the pool and even if it is facing the road acoustic was good.

Very average hotel but okay for anyone on a budget. Located close to South bank and the city. The first room we were given was disgusting as it hadn't been cleaned at all. The second room was okay, very dated, but clean. We visited just before Christmas, expecting to be able to get dinner and breakfast at the restaurant but were told that the staff had been sent home as they weren't very busy (night have been wise to get them to at least clean the rooms first). There was a table of staff members sitting in the dark restaurant having a meal and some laughs together so perhaps they meant that they were having a staff party instead of being sent home, not sure. Very odd to not have the usual services operating during the week before Christmas. We won't be back.

Yelp
I found this hotel on lastminute.com as we decided to stay in the city for the night. Firstly for what we paid for the night it was great. Being only 10 mins from QPAC was the clincher. We were able to walk there and back saving us money and time on a taxi. We were welcomed by a very friendly bloke at the front counter for check it, this was sorted quickly and it was explained how we access the car park and the best place to park in there for our room. The room that we had was a simple 1x queen bed and 1x single bed. There was a tv, table, chair and the beds. The lighting in the room was looked after by a stand alone floor lamp. While this did the job, it did make the room a bit dark and dull. The bathroom was simple. Shower over bath, toilet, basin with full wall length mirror. There wasn't much room in the bathroom for 2 people to get ready. The shower over bath was a bit small as well (however there was great hot water and good water pressure). The curtains were block out. The room did smell a bit musty and closed up (maybe while they are cleaning the room they could open the balcony door and let some fresh air in) however once the air conditioning was turned on it disappeared quickly. Would I stay there again? Yes. For what we needed it for it was money well spent with a comfortable bed.
