Fruit smoothies and coffee shake great for hot days. Barbecue chicken very tasty with nice sides and also some baked cake to take away. Updated review to say if you see the sign outside saying Roti then definitely go for it - roti and goat was best food we had on our trip. (Picture is of roti and chicken which was also good but goat was the best)

Absolutely delicious home cooked food - chicken and fish with lots of sides. Great service and some cold Carib. Would definitely recommend if you are passing through Castara

Meh - very mediocre food. Fish packed flavour, rice was a bit soggy. You had to pay $15 extra just to sit in the restaurant. 2 stars as was open during a less busy time unlike many other rests in castara

Marcia alwaus serves really lovely, affordable food cooked to order. Last evening we shared a boxed meal of fried chicken wings, fries & pasta salad - great! Her soused pigs foot is another favourite- do try it!

Eat as the locals do. Our driver came here for soup and we followed suit. Yes its hot, yes you still need the soup. Was able to take it to-go for lunch and was not disappointed! Was charged fairly, in fact felt it was a good value! Friendly service as well.

Went here for dinner. The food was well done and plentiful. However I am giving one star because the people who run the restaurant charged us much more than the tourist sitting next to us. My husband and I ordered one fish and one vegetarian meal and a bottle of water. Don’t get me wrong it was very good. However the vegetarian meal was the exact same as the fish meal, minus the fish- but they charged the same. They charged us 140tt for the meal- not a bad price except I watched them charge the other tourist sitting next us who ordered a fish meal and water 60tt. While I’ve found all the other restaurants in Castara extremely kind, generous and welcoming this one made me feel as they purposely overcharged us for being American. If you’re looking for a good meal, but with possibly upcharged prices- this is your place. I’m certain there are better places in Castara.

Our favourite lunch spot in Castara! You have to try their delicious Roti - filled with goat, meat or fish. The goat was so tender and came with chickpeas in curry sauce. Delicious homemade local food, generous portions and fair prices. Open Mon - Sat from 10am - 2pm, weekdays they have Rotis and Saturday you can try the traditional soup and pelau rice with coleslaw. The stew is comfort food, you pick your choice of fish, chicken, pigtail or cowfoot and it comes with carrots, dumplings, casava, sweet potato and plaintain. The pelau rice is like Jerk chicken fried rice with the most delicious coleslaw. They also do homemade coconut and pumpkin ice cream. Try eating like the locals in Castara!

Very friendly lady. Had her cow heel soup for breakfast and it was very delicious. Also, her pork bbq tasted great. If you're in Castara visit this place you won't regret it!!!!!
