Great site for our RV on our first visit to Canada. We arrived much later than expected but the guy on reception was very helpful despite being about to close for the night. Didn’t take long to hook up with all the services. We were pleasantly surprised with our pitch. Some were less private but we were more than happy with ours. Easy to walk into Whistler and loved doing the Lost Lake Trail from the site. It was so peaceful around the site and all areas very clean although we didn’t use any facilities. We were pleased to start our trip here and would definitely recommend if wanting to stay in the Whistler area.

Google
Pretty stellar as far as campgrounds go. Mine, which I was able to book day-of, had a phenomenal view of the mountains. Bathrooms nearby that didn’t stink and I saw them cleaning them at 6 am. Great overall, the only downside is the service / reception closes fairly early and for a Whistler campground in the middle of summer that’s a little weird.

We stayed in a cabin two nights and really enjoyed it! It was very clean and comfortable, had everything we needed (access to Netflix too for those rainy days plus a nice porch). Excellent location, about a 20-min walk to Whistler village and lots of hiking trails close by plus a super nice spa a 3 min walk away. The Thai restaurant on the resort was also yummy.

Spent 2 nights in log cabin no.11.||The cabins are close so we were a little concerned we`d hear other guests at night but both nights were peaceful and the bedding and living areas very warm and comfortable.||Don`t be put off by the distance from Whistler. Not only are taxis easy to come by but there is a frequent bus service from just outside the park and its only $2.50 a ride (cash only). Or, like us, walk the well maintained footpath to the village in less than 30 mins. We were also just 5 minutes walk to Green lake and the Lost Lake trails which are great little walks around the area.||This represents a really good idea if visiting Whistler as its peaceful with free parking (unlike any hotels in town) and you might even see a bear.

Excellent place to camp! Lovely bike trails easy access right from the campsite. Showers had good pressure & hot water. Bathrooms were clean. Staff were polite & effortlessly got us a second night campsite when we were not quite ready to leave. Nothing to complain about.

Google
Staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and handled the couple minor issues right away....even got us an early check in which was awesome!! The entire campground looks amazing when you pull in. Mountain views everywhere you look!!! Very quiet and peaceful. The grounds are well maintained and pretty convient to the paved trails. We stayed in one of the cabins. Super cute!!! With an absolutely amazing view. But unfortunately our cabin was kinda dirty on the inside. The floor was so dirty we either had to wear our shoes or socks at all times. FYI..the refrigerator is TINY...I'm talking dorm size with no freezer. Bring your own frying pan (the one provided sucks) and a cooler for ice and beverages. The onsite laundry room was clean and very convenient with several machines and detergent is available for purchase. All in all, it was a wonderful stay and we would definitely come back again. BC is beautiful and there is SO much to do and see!!!!! Thank you Riverside!! Maybe we'll be back some day!

Nicely located about 2.5 km walk from Whistler Village and only a 10 minute walk from Scandinave Spa. Very clean and provides lots of services. Our RV site was surrounded by 4 other sites so had less privacy and was louder plus one of the sites beside us also had a tent in addition to the RV. Would’ve liked some more shrubs in between the sites to allow for more privacy so we could sit outside. Many of the other sites we walked by had more privacy and the cabins looked very nice. Lovely mountain views and lots of trails to walk or bike with the river close by.

This is a review about a staff member, not the business. This morning at around 11am I was on the way to Scandinave spa at the bridge crossing with one-way traffic. I proceeded on the green light, however there was a group of kids on bikes making their way to the far right lane, so I yielded to them and proceeded across the bridge. About 3/4 across the bridge I was met head-on by one of your staff members driving a golf cart. I asked if it was ok to drive through. I didn’t get a clear response and he wasn’t letting me by, so I was forced to reverse backwards on the bridge to the other side to let him through. In hindsight I should’ve backed the extra 10m to the traffic light, but proceeded forward after he passed me. He then yelled at me about not backing all the way out and not waiting at the red light. I realize there’s no way he knew I was waiting for kids on the bridge- which is why I was slow crossing the bridge, but he could have made room to let me pass by (there was plenty of room- he was in a golf cart). I know I was in the wrong about not backing all the way up and waiting at the red light, but he could’ve handled the situation differently and understood there are people who aren’t familiar with the area and the timed one-way traffic on the bridge. Just hope for some common courtesy in the future for other patrons of this business.

Yelp
They won't refund you. Watch out. I requested for a refund months in advanced. They will blame some "IT issue" on going. It's been a month waiting for my $320 USD refund. This place is a joke of a business. A thief. Be aware and read of other reviews with refund issues.

Yelp
First time here trying the Yurts and i must say, we are very impressed. Not so long of a drive from vancouver transports you to this very tranquil place in forest lands of whistler...more like 10 mins from whistler village, close to the spa area. Very nice and comfortable yurts, equipt with actual bunk beds, queen mattress, pillows and blankets, base-board heating, cooling fans, and even an extra portable heater. I mean, what more can you ask for? And in this time of a pandemic, pristine and well-kept grounds, and more importantly, nice clean toilets and shower facilities. Everything was well maintained and scrubbed down. This is probably the best communal shower and toilet that i have ever used , camping in bc. Lots of paper towels, staff cleaning on a regular basis, not a spot of mold on the wall or grout, nothing! Best part - the hot showers have great pressure and dont ever run out. And oh yeah...its unlimited use for guests. No more 5 min showers for a quarter!! Lol There was hardly anyone there on our first 2 nights and we enjoyed the tranquility of the place. And since it was too cold to use an actual tent, the staff graciously allowed everyone there to use the tent fire pits at will. Very convenient location...it was a 5 min drive to the nearest strip mall which houses several restaurants for take out and a Nester grocery store for supplies. What more can you as for? Its all there. I enjoyed every minute and so did my family and friends. Will book the cabins next for variety. Cheers! Stay safe and live life!

Yelp
The customer service representative and resort manager were unhelpful and unwilling to accommodate a cancellation due to a severe winter storm warning with a severity level of possible threat to life or property. They refused any option presented to them for possible solutions, for example, refund, credit at the resort or rebooking future dates. Even though we understand there is a refund policy, these are extreme circumstances--no kindness or empathy at this resort.

Yelp
This place may look rustic but it is chalet chic to a tee. Their yurts are so incredibly dreamy and a crazy cheap price to match!! It's so worth it no matter the price and time of year. Their cabins are so charming and convenient with restroom and small kitchen. It even has an upstairs loft with two single beds great for kids! Yurts 1&2 and cabins 1-4 are pet friendly. Make sure you don't miss out on this unique dreamy accommodation experience

Yelp
The Riverside is one of Whistler's hidden gems. Where else can you park your 40 foot RV 5 mins from the lifts at TWO world class ski hills and summer golf? The park is on the Valley trail just minutes from suburb MTB single track. Full hook ups, showers, laundry, Riverside Cafe, putting range and nice little store and free ski shuttle add to the perks. Ian and his grounds crew do an impeccable job of keeping it tidy. Nesters market is just a short walk and the Skandia Spa is just up the hill. We've traveled a fair bit and paid a lot more for much less. Couldn't ask for more. 2018 Update: Parkbridge Resorts has acquired Riverside, many great staff including Gina and Ian have remained. The free shuttle van reached the end of its useful life so having an extra car is handy, although Whistler continues to restrict free parking. The Riverside cafe remains a local favorite. Nikita's omelettes and carrot cake are legendary

Yelp
I'm a city girl at heart but since my little girl wanted to go camping & a visiting cousin wanted to go to Whistler in June, I thought "why not?!" Riverside Resort is a convenient 5 minute drive from the village. There are cabins, parking for RVs, campsites... & "yurts." Decided to try the yurt (hey at least i don't have to put up a tent & then risk sleeping in my car IF i failed)! According to the Riverside website, yurts are "sturdy & secure structures with rigid walls, roofs, and solid floors, yet they have still the feel of tenting & being in the heart of nature." My daughter also wanted to make s'mores, was able to rent a fire pit with propane for 24 cdn. Beats the hassle of buying firewood etc etc. Only downside for me was the showers/toilets were located downhill. Near the build your own tent sites. Don't get me wrong, it's just a short walk but at night the path is not well lighted... In fact, warned my 5 year old if she needs to pee in the middle of the night, she'll be doing it by the trees. It has amenities like mini-golf, bike rentals & a nearby spa! Oh, & there's free WIFI too!! Haha! Now that's comfort camping at its best! Service was very helpful & friendly! Also loved the smoked salmon Benny & Reuben sandwich from their cafe. Overall, a great place for families with young children. Already looking forward to my next trip!

Yelp
When your husband dies, but Riverside won't refund your trip because it's past the cancellation period by 3 days? Yeah...no. This happened to my friend, spoke with 2 people, who were very friendly, but nicely declined to give the money back because when the reservation was made they were told they had to cancel within 14 days of the planned trip. Could not even believe this.

Yelp
The reviews don't do this spot justice. The night we spent there was great - 5 stars. Mind you, this is an RV park - you may have to level your vehicle, walk to the rest-room, deal with critters and bugs, etc.. We wanted to visit Spa Scandinave and our spot was a short walking distance to the Spa. It was a short walk to the restrooms as well. We walked to town along the pedestrian/bike path - about 2+ kilometers. Aside from a couple vehicles passing in the night it was a very quiet spot. We stayed along road "J", by the Yurts. Cons: The view was great, but there are overhead power lines running right over the park. The previous campers left a small bit of trash at the site. The area of the park we stayed was very much like a parking lot, not incredibly woodsy. Lastly, the road to the Spa hosts traffic not linked to the park, beware of cars going 20+ kmh opposed to the 8 kmh limit for the park.

Yelp
Beautiful location and easy access to the bike trail and lost lake trails. I can't give this any more than two stars because the staff is extremely unhelpful. Every time we attempted to ask a question they acted put off and annoyed. It's frustrating coming to an unfamiliar place and feeling as if no one is willing to help. Specifically we asked about switching tent sites to which they said there are some available but we have to give priority to those coming in tonight and staying for the week. What?? We will not be back.

Yelp
Two stars because the location is good and the ladies at the front desk were super helpful. The Bad: Toilets are a quarter mile from the tent sites, no TP, 2 of 4 showers out of order, only 3 wheel barrows for carrying your stuff, surrounded by people smoking pot and giggling all night. Definitely not family friendly if you are camping, and the RV sites are so tight you wouldn't have anywhere to sit outside. Whistler Connection bus pulls up beside the bbq gazebo, driver let's his bus idle, I ask him nicely to turn off his engine, he ignores me 3x and finally retorts "Who the f*ck are you! This is a car wash area! " Like I said, not family friendly.

Yelp
Tried camping here. I say tried as after the first night we left for a condo in Whistler. For us it was the tightly packed campsites and lack of ability to drive to the site that cause this rating. The constant walking back and forth everytime someone wants anything was a real inconvenience. At the end of the day - I prefer provincial campsites.

Yelp
First time at this rv campground. We have a partial service site. It's not only so tight that your neighbors are looking down on your rig, the pad isn't even level. It's slanted forward and to the left! For $57.75 for a non-level partial service site, I don't see the value. The front service desk people were not helpful at all. He kept saying that's all the sites they have. I told him that we can't level the coach to out the slide out with all our leveling blocks. No help. The added one star is for the nice bike trails nearby. For the price and the condition of the site, I'd so down to Whistler RV campground next time. We travel in a motorhome.

Yelp
I have camped here 3 times over the past 3 years. The first time I camped with my family and found the proximity to the village to be a great alternative to other types of accommodations in Whistler. It was a quiet campground and had all the amenities one would need. The next year I coordinated a group of families to camp together. There were 8 families and we all had kids 2 years old and younger. We booked 4 full service sites, 2 tent sites and 3 cabins. It was perfect because the campground had something for everyone. I was told that if I wanted to guarantee that our group was together (which of course we wanted to, since we all had very young children) that I would have to pay a $200 deposit, and it would be returned to me providing there were no rule violations. As I booked about 10 months in advance, it seemed like a long time to hold on to the deposit, but I did so anyways since it was really important for us to be together. Unfortunately the campground did not hold up their end of the deal in having all of the 4 full service sites together. One of the families was sent to another area of the campground and after much persuasion we were able to have them move closer to the rest of the group. This year, with the same group of families, our booking included 5 full service sites. I decided not to create a group booking, as I didn't see the value in it and I didn't want to put such a large deposit down again, 10 months in advance. Also the campground reservations person emailed saying that they would be able to keep our group together. Unfortunately this was not the case at all. None of us had sites together and some of us had to strongly persuade them in order to be in somewhat close proximity from one another. They claim they do not assign sites to people, yet make people move part way through their stay because someone else had booked that particular site. There is a lot of double talk in the reservations department. The playground is in a really bad state and is a hazard for children to play on. For $57 per night for a full service site (the most I have ever paid), one would think that they could fix the playground. This is especially important for a group of 3 year olds. Given our negative experiences two years in a row, it is doubtful that our group will return to this campground in the future.

Yelp
We booked a weekend camping here and we're hoping for the stellar forecast we had been getting all summer. Well as our chosen weekend approached it corresponded with the coldest and wettest weekend since June. We decided to troop it out and I'm so glad we did. Given that it was September the campground was exceptionally quiet. You are literally right on the edge of a stunning river. The sites are walk in. We were T9 so close enough to the lot for convenience, but far enough away you felt secluded in the trees. They have wheelbarrows to help get your items to your site. I could see on a sold out weekend that privacy may be an issue if you prefer that. Bear bins are at each site. The front desk had emphasized bears had been in the area week over week so it's very important to be bear aware. We loved our stay and that it was walking distance to the village. Given that it was rainy we walked in and cabbed back at night. It was only 10 bucks. I will certainly be booking a stay here again. The only reason why it didn't get 5 stars is that the washrooms are quite a walk from the site themselves.

C J.

Yelp
3 of 4 coin operated toilets were out of order. The working toilet barely functioned. Took 8 loads from our vehicle to our campsite. Distance way too far and the wheel barrow was a piece of junk!

Yelp
We've have been camping for many, many years... all over the Western United States, British Columbia and Alberta. Nice people everywhere... Whistler's Riverside Resort is an exception. Small, very narrow parking spots for your trailer or motorhome separated by shrubbery where you share every special camping-moment with your neighbors on both sides. If you have a problem, the "resort" front-deck is generally staffed by socially inept teenage or 20-somethings who have difficulty managing more than two things at once, and will treat you critically if you've disturbing that delicate balance. (...we've camped there before and experienced this first-hand). We scheduled a weekend the end of this July, 2017 but my daughter's husband, an Army veteran became critically ill (from an injury in Afghanistan), I called Riverside Resort (over a week before our arrival date) to cancel our reserve and explained why... "No. If it's not before two-weeks, we absolutely will not refund your deposit." "...it doesn't matter, we won't." You need to email a cancellation request in writing or we'll charge you for the full stay." "...it doesn't matter (the young lady on the phone was very snooty and rude...), that's our policy!" I tried to email a cancellation request, their email server wouldn't respond... Very nice. ...disgruntled and more than a little angry I found and emailed their Corporate BC Regional Manager explaining my frustrations. "...sorry, no exceptions!" If you can possibly avoid Whistler's Riverside Resort ...do so. ...tiny sites, unsympathetic staff, and if you have a problem, you'll be treated badly. David and Dorothy Day Washington State

Yelp
It is a great place to camp out. Staff very friendly and helpful, sites a bit small but clean. Close to the bike trail, close to town and shopping. No problem getting to all the activities. Will stay here again next time I visit Whistler.

Yelp
I wouldn't stay at this "campground" unless you're a deaf mute, we paid for 3 of the yurts which were unfinished and were kicked out on the second day at 7 PM without warning for being too loud despite the fact the quiet time 10 PM. You're better off sleeping in your car on the side of the highway if you're looking to have fun.

Tammy W.

Yelp
We stayed at this campsite last weekend. We were horribly disappointed when we arrived. The appearance was "a parking lot" type campsite. I told the kids not to worry because we were camping in the "walk in" sites and the sites would be more secluded. While checking in, we were told that no camp fires are allowed due to the burning ban. (Would have been good to know before arriving) After checking in we drove past what appeared to be a junk yard and came to our parking lot. There were huge power lines walking into our campsite. Some campsites had the power lines within sight of their site. The campsites were small, not secluded at all and had a horrible mosquito problem. Another thing that was not mentioned before checking in, is...Due to the bears (which I sadly did not see any of during our 3 nights) you are not allowed to keep your food or coolers at your campsite. So every time you need food you must walk out to your car. Thankfully on the first morning our neighbors mentioned that the resort had propane fire pits you can rent. We were not able to cook over the fire but we could at least roast marshmallows. The front desk did not mention this to us. Bathrooms were fairly clean but lacked paper towels the last 2 days and toilet paper on the last day. Whistler, as always, is absolutely beautiful! While loading my car to leave I heard a young woman crying to her boyfriend. Their car window had been smashed. Her purse, his wallet and all their cash taken. Thankfully their passports were not.

Randi N.

Yelp
My little family and I, including our dog (a border collie) stayed here for 4 days. We had gotten in trouble, because our dog wasn't allowed to be a dog and bark at other dogs, & we were also told that she was not allowed to be left alone at the campsite. We were not notified of such a rule when we booked or else we would not have brought our dog. Along with the "coolers have to be in your hot vehicles to spoil all your food rule", because of all the apparent bears, the office had no ice for us to help keep our food. What a waste of money. Honestly, if we were told any of these rules when we booked, we would have booked elsewhere. This is the only campsite that I know of that has such ridiculous rules. I'm giving 3 stars, because the bathrooms were decent and the showers are free.

Michael F.

Yelp
Staff are friendly, toilets are clean, wifi is a joke, big hike to the toilets as there are none, no kitchen facilities.

L R.

Yelp
Beautiful RV Park! Rates reasonable compared to everything else in Whistler! Friendly, helpful service upon check in. Village was within walking distance, however it was raining hard, so we took the shuttle they provided. Sites not as close together as some we have stayed in. Level asphalt sites. Plenty of room for our 36 ft fifth wheel and pick up and two slide outs. Bathrooms were clean. Laundry facility very pricy, but so is everything in Canada! Would recommend this. Much closer to the village than the other RV park. Nice walking path along the river.
