nice and clean small hohel with extremely friendly and helpful staff. we felt very much at home and would love to come back one day. we liked the place being very authentic and the staff was great. there also was a francesinha festival right inter park 5 min away (easy walk) they told us about. loved that, too!

Checked in at about 7.00PM noticed lots of noise, like moving furnisher. Ther is no phone in room, so from my mobile, called reception and explained. The nice lady at reception said it was from the restaurant on the ground floor that does not belong to the hotel. She said she was going to talk to the rest people. I've called a second time and she said that they promised to make less noise and then she said she was calling the owner of the restaurant. Conclusion never book this hotel if you want to sleep, as this is an impossible situation with no sound insulation. Horrible experience.

First note we found this hotel rather hard to find driving and using our GPS. They have no parking but there is paid parking within a block and free overnight. The staff was welcoming and friendly from check in on and spoke english. Our room was nice and surprisingly quiet give this place is on a busy street. Breakfast was good. The location is across the river from the city center, we found it a pleasant 5 minute walk to and from but we saw a number of hotels right at the foot of the city more convenient to sights. If you don't mind this location, it is a good value for what you get and I can recommend it as a good place to stay.

Great cute hotel along the river in Coimbra. Lovely lounge area and outside patios. Simple clean rooms! Good variety for breakfast and the staff are all so welcoming. We booked here because it was listed as a recommendation on a Rick Steves tour.

Great little stopover place when in Coimbra , nice and clean and pleasent staff. Only negative is for the price breakfast should be included but a good few cafes etc on the doorstep.

Great location. AC only produces heat but you CAN open window to the noisy street to cool things. Nice shower. But lacks a towel rack. Nice basic breakfast buffet. Floor in 201 “cracks” when you walk. Not particularly quiet. Excellent internet. Mid-range cost. Add pros and cons and it feels average 🤔

Room was basic but comfortable bed. Air con and good shower. Small hotel in a row of restaurants. Free parking available in public car park 5 minutes walk. Only had contact with receptionist who was friendly and helpful with good English.

The location is good; just across the river from Coimbra, so it was a short walk up the main street. The hotel rooms are in two side-by-side buildings filled with interior staircases and odd little spaces. Our room looked like (from the map on the door) it was one of the bigger ones, but it also has two Murphy beds beside the one double bed. The bathroom is small, and the sink is tiny with no stopper. And there’s really no place to put anything in the bathroom. I can’t imagine four people sharing that bathroom. Other people in our group complained about having small rooms, so there was clearly lots of variation. Everything was very clean and the staff were very nice. There is a small patio behind the basement-level breakfast room, but no one was using it during our stay.

Postage stamp-sized rooms with bathrooms smaller than my tub at home. I had to work to find a place to open my suitcase because the open space around the bed was stupidly small. If I crawl over the bed, I can get to the window. The I can crawl back and get to the bathroom-ette. Oh, and unless you un-plug your lamp, the only electrical socket requires everything you want to recharge to sit on the floor. For what it's worth, I am writing this, sitting on the floor, using the folding chair as a desk and as an obstruction to keep me from walking over the top of my charging phone. Not the worst hotel I have ever been in, but it's in the running. The worst part is that it's modern, so they do not have any "we can't modify the historical ..." It's just *really* *badly* done. I would *NEVER* stay here again.

Location, location, location. And this place definitely has it! Located right downtown just off the river in Coimbra, you can walk to everything there is to see in this town. Know before you go that the rooms are SMALL. And they won't inspire you to spend any time in your room as they are also not decorated . . . .if I had to describe it it feels like someone went to Ikea and bought a bed, desk and armoire. And don't get me started on the minuscule bathroom. I kept knocking into the shower as there is literally no room in the tiny space. But it's functional and the shower has good water pressure. And if you need a hair dryer, be sure to ask for it at the front desk as there are not dryers in the rooms. Breakfast is included in your room fee and it is good with warm eggs and bacon, and a variety of cold meats and cheeses. They also had a daily smoothie which was pretty good. Also know that there is no elevator in the one building so the staff will help you carry your luggage up and down the stairs which is nice. All in all a good value for a clean hotel that is centrally located in this fun city!
