We began our Africa adventure at Rivertrees for a night and I didn't want to leave. The property is beautiful with meandering paths along the river and through the trees. The staff took great care and was always available. When we arrived we needed a refreshing drink and we met Dorothy. She ended up taking care of us for all of our dining, dinner and breakfast. She was lovely and very attentive. We had questions about the menu and she gave us great recommendations. I had the Lamb Pilau (my favorite meal of our trip) and my wife had Nile Perch in parchment. The food was OUTSTANDING. The room accommodations were clean, comfortable and quite luxurious. On our next trip to Africa, we plan to spend more time at Rivertrees. We hope to see Dorothy again. Book with total confidence.

This was our arrival point for safari. Ten of us stayed in five separate rooms. Four of the rooms were in the Farmhouse which was delightful. I only wish we'd had more time to enjoy the house and the grounds, which were beautiful.||The property is clean and scenic. The rooms were clean and had lots of character. The staff was great. The food and drink was excellent. Really enjoyed our stay.

Really nice place to relax for 2 days after a busy safari itinerary. Serene surroundings and lush vegetation. Very nice staff and good food in the restaurant. The only negatives were a cold pool (its not heated), we would have loved to lounge in the afternoon, its so beautiful, and slightly musty rooms (no AC and its by a river). Loved watching the monkeys!

Wonderful hotel! |Very clean and beautiful setting. The staff was great, especially Issa, our waiter and Freddie, our bike tour guide. The food was delicious and they always made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend spending a few days here.

My 3 adult children and I stayed 2 nights in cottages 14 and 15 after flying into JRO. It was a wonderful first stop on our 10-day tour. The grounds are lush and beautiful, and we took the complimentary tour of the property, garden, and river walk, where we saw 2 types of monkeys and learned about the different variety of plants on the property. The rooms are spacious, the beds very comfortable, and I wish we had more time to relax on our back patios and enjoy the Usa River behind our cottages. Breakfast was very good with buffet items and also made-to-order options. I would definitely recommend a stay here, either before or after your tour.

We started our safari here straight from JRO and the staff was very accomodating of our early arrival. We were greeted with with towels to freshen up and delicious hibiscus juice. They held our bags and arranged a wonderful coffee tour for us to do while we waited for our room to become available. The rooms were very comfortable and the grounds were beautiful. Would love an opportunity to stay here again.

We had an amazing one night stay at the Rivertrees Country Inn before starting our safari. The food, staff, rooms were lovely and the spa massage was fab. ||We had 2 rooms both which were to a high standard and well kept. The staff were very helpful. ||We had an amazing dinner from the set menu where Emmanuel was super helpful and made sure we had a lovely time.

We fell in love with Rivertrees! The grounds are stunning, immaculately maintained, graciously laid out with cottage clusters, winding gravel paths bordered with lush and colorful plants, breathtaking old growth trees, and a bonus river walk to spot 2 kinds of resident monkeys and birds. Peaceful, lovely appointed cottages: soak in a deep tub by a candle lit window! (lots of hot water ) Staff very attentive and friendly: We enjoyed Jane’s company as our waitress and Emmanuel was extremely helpful and personable. The food was some of our best on our 2 week safari. Love the spacious grounds with multiple charming choices of where to dine. The gardens with fresh herbs and lettuce are a big plus. Rivertrees seems to imbibe the very essence of old gracious Africa. Perfect sanctuary to relax before and after safari with close proximity to both regional and international airports. Highly recommend! A very special place.
