Rivertrees Country Inn

Rivertrees was the first place we stayed in Tanzania and we loved it. Beautifully appointed rooms (we had interconnecting rooms with our girls), lovely grounds and delicious food and drinks. The service was great from reception to the restaurant. Only wish I had bought things at the little gift shop - turned out it was the best selection of all the places we stayed.

We stayed here for the first 2 nights of our Tanzania trip. We were 2 grandparents, 2 parents and 3 children aged 3, 5 and 9. It was such a lovely place to arrive to off the long flight. Not a long drive from the airport. Lovely huge rooms, gorgeous grounds, delicious food and wonderful staff. The kids loved the woodland play area, and we did the river walk which was also beautiful. I highly recommend this place.

It's very nice place to relax in Arusha city. I visited only for the restaurant. There is a salad bar with 28,000ths. The salad bar is very nice and they have very fresh vegetables and a few breads. I live in Arusha. But it's difficult to find like this fresh vegetables place in Arusha.I love the place!! Very safety and chill and green. Also there are alot of events. Friday movie night was good!

Lovely ambience, delicious pizza (we had the chicken spinach brie with olives and pesto + a shirley temple). they have a cute souvenir shop as you exit the place. The waiting time to pay/wait for receipt took awhile so might be great if it was cut shorter especially if you are in a hurry otherwise everything was amazing especially the hiking trail and the monkeys, we were surprised to spot a white and black colobuses monkey by the tall canopy trees especially since they are very shy creatures, tried getting a better look but better luck next time :)

Tucked away in a beautiful forested area of Usa River lies this beautiful country inn. The cottages are are beautifully decorated, very clean and spacious, overlooking well manicured gardens, and bathrooms have a wonderful shower as well as a bathtub. The cottage had incense sticks and candles too which were a really nice touch. Gardens are stunning and there is such a huge variety of trees plants and flowers. The restaurant had the most delicious meals and drinks with various seating areas so you could have privacy indoors or enjoy a meal in the garden. Breakfast was a huge spread, and my favorite meal was the salad bar at lunch time. I had an amazing guided river walk within the property & Freddy was a great guide who taught me some amazing things about the different trees and flowers. A special mention to the Manager, Farheen, Front Office Manager, Mitchelle and waiter Emmanuel who were so friendly, warm & welcoming and really made my stay a memorable one, so much so, that I was really sad to leave. The rest of the staff were also so friendly and helpful, checking that everything was OK without being intrusive. Rivertrees is definitely a place I'd want to go back to again.

Upon arrival, we felt like arriving in a lush and peaceful oasis just at the outskirts of bustling Arusha. The entire resort just lives and breathes the spirit of Africa. Rooms were amazing - spacious, sparkling clean and equipped with all necessary amenities. Food (lunch, breakfast) at the restaurant was very tasty and not expensive. Staff was super friendly and forthcoming. Great value for money when arriving at Kilimanjaro Airport and before heading to Tarangire National Park

Arrived very early in the morning. Lovely welcome from all the staff. While we were waiting for our room to be made up we were given an amazing tour (by Jimangi ?) around the 10acre gardens which runs alongside the river and has an abundance of trees/nature/monkeys. We were only here for one night to get over our long flight before going on safari but what a wonderful place to stay. We sat outside our room for hours watching the monkeys going mad !
