Ok, so let’s talk predominately children oriented museum food. The new Greens & Grains salad bar is everything! So many choices for gluten-free and vegetarian as well. Dedicated staff that clearly cares. You have a bit of everything… Healthy options available, fresh fruit salad, also Burgers, Chicken nuggets with fries, Asian inspired dishes, etc… Best Yogurt Parfait and Chia Seed Pudding! Plus… Let’s not forget the view!

Food options were about average for this type of museum cafe. Definitely look past the bottled drinks as they have cheaper fountain options you get at the register.

Went on a family outing to the MOS and fell in love with it! So wonderful! And that cafeteria is just top notch. Me and the kids particularly loved the maho tacos and the plantains with fries. Surprisingly good for picky eaters! All glowing reviews, except from my meemaw, she said everything tasted like soap. Don't trust meemaw, she always has something to say. And has been known to eat soap (thankfully, the museum bathrooms were very clean). I think the museum uses some form of bulk antibacterial Softsoap®, judging by what meemaw ate when she used the can. I will be back and hope to have these items again, however I will be leaving meemaw and her ramshackle opinions at home. I don't need to hear how she could have won the Battle of Little Big Horn with nothing but a pack of Marlboros and a Hoodsie Cup spoon!!!

The yuca fries and plantains I had with the mahi mahi tacos on Monday were out of this world! Only 4 stars though because the redhead who made my tacos didn't give me extra guac when I asked for it and there were so many screaming children, terrible atmosphere.

Overcrowded and overpriced. Pizza even a 9 year old wouldn't eat. Four or five dining options but only 2 cashier lines. Food cold by the time you get to eat (if you can find a table) and so incredibly loud. Would bring sandwiches next time and eat quietly in a corner.

Wow. This place makes other museum cafes look pretty bad. The food is legitimately good. Like, would go to eat here even if I wasn't visiting the museum good. Prices are reasonable, which was a total shock. And, you can sit where you have a beautiful view of the river. Surprisingly wonderful experience when we needed something to eat when visiting the museum.

Overpriced food. Pizza was ok, the mac and cheese was good. The layout of the restaurants made me think there was only two, but come to find out, the other one was tucked on the back side. Too bad, i already picked up the bland pizzas and probably would've opted for the chicken strips instead, oh well. Seating area was crowded and tables were not cleaned after each family, so bring sanitizer. Overall, typical cafeteria style eating, self serve, in and out.

The food court food was actually good! We were worried about having to leave to eat somewhere else to come back but the falafel plate was okay and was the most decently priced meal of our trip. We were pleasantly surprised - especially after reading reviews about how the food court food wasn’t that great . So don’t be afraid to eat here :)! Also the workers were friendly.

Yelp
Let's be clear.... This is a cafeteria in a museum that is geared toward children... But the food quality has gone way way up since I was a child and I enjoyed myself quite a bit the last few times I was here. They have 3 booths with different food genres. One with your typical fat food fair and pizza. One with healthy sandwiches and salads and one that is kind of in between with grilled chicken sandwiches and roasted Brussels. All three are good as far as I can tell! The view is really nice for eating and the dining room is big and can accommodate a lot of folks. Solid for solo excursion or if you brought your whole extended family. 1 star off because the traffic flow on front is not so clear... But once you figure in out if you need to order or take it's smooth sailing and a nice conclusion or break from your science filled day

Yelp
Me, My husband and one year old son visited Museum of Science during the Halloween weekend. Per usual, we checked out food offerings first - beverages available, snacks for purchase, specialty goods, etc.? - and headed over to their cafe. Riverview Cafe. At the entrance is a Starbucks branded heading, so Not quite sure if the Cafe is part of Starbucks counter or not as there were numerous things available not typically available in a Starbucks. The two seemed intertwined somehow. So, we ordered drinks from the counter. Cool thing is that there was a little Halloween display for a special "sack" for kiddies! I caved like a typical Mommy & bought it. It seemed like a great value at first sight; water bottle & several pre-packaged snacks, stickers inside. All things seemed well until I opened the cookies (from a well-known commercial cookie/snack company). They smelled stale; like an intense chemical. The paper the cookie sat on was discolored from the oils/ingredients, evidence of aging...of course this happened a few days after we got home. Not while at the Museum. I intended to take a picture, but it was discarded by my husband before I got to it. The main thing is I wanted to inform the cafe (and you) that they may be selling some things that are expired. Maybe a reason it was included in the snack-pack for Halloween (like a way to liquidate old product)? So, buyer be ware. Check expiration dates and contents of pre-packaged items from the Cafe.

Yelp
This cafe is inside of the Science Museum building next to gift shop. You get a stamp on your hand, then you can get in and out of the museum. It is a big cafeteria where you order food at the counter , pay at the cashier style. Had pulled pork sandwich which was far above typical cafeteria food. Baked bean was also good. Cafe was packed with kids and their parents, couldn't see the water at first. Beautiful Charles river was right out side of the window! Surprisingly tasty food we had at the Rivercafe. Cool!

Yelp
The Riverview cafe was a lifesaver for us on our recent trip to Boston. Friendsay and I were so hungry after our travels from the airport, to 40 Berkeley, then subway and walking travels to Science Park to get on the Duck Tour. When we arrived, we had a couple of hours before the Duck Tour but there were no restaurants to grab anything to eat anywhere near by in walking distance. We were not interested in the Science Museum but I thought it may be worth a try going in and seeing if they had a restaurant. BINGO! Just in the area where you walk in, free of charge, there is an entrance of the museum that has BAM! a cafe that overlooks the Charles River...hence: Riverview Cafe! There were several six bars of various types of food where you choose, go through a line, then carry your tray to the cashier and go pick a seat. The choices are Starbuck's, a Taqueria, Salad Bar, Grab & Go, The Grill, and Puck's- featuring Wolfgang Puck's specialty foods. We grabbed a couple of burritos from the Taqueria and went for the window seating to look over the river while we dined. Understand, there are A LOT of kids here! Hindsight, I would take the food and go outside and eat on the river away from the field trip groups but oh well.... the place was clean and there were lots of choices of food and that is what mattered most.

Yelp
Worst service EVER!! My gf got yelled at by one of the attendants which was rude and unnecessary. Inconsiderate asshole employees, SLOW service, over priced and TERRIBLE food. They need to train their lazy employees to provide better, NICER service, especially considering this is a family environment and the way they acted was definitely not someone I would want working in my family establishment. Avoid this place like the plague!!

Yelp
This review is for the Starbucks section of the Riverview Cafe. Arrived at 6:20 in the evening- definately not a busy time of evening. There were 2 employees working at the counter- 1 ringing register and 1 taking and filling order. There was ZERO communication between staff members allowing for people to cut in line and be served before others who were waiting in line patiently. Case in point, while my group was ordering and paying at the register, two other groups behind us had their orders taken by the other staff member and the register person deleted our order (twice) so she could ring in and take payment for the other two groups. Whatever happened to appreciating the customers business? Apparently our business wasnt as important as the 2 other groups who, by the way, spent less than $10 each, where my party would have easily been over $30. So lost a $30 order to get 2 $10. Obviously wont be spending my money here and suggest other not to as well.

Yelp
On a recent visit at 2 PM all the food in the Puck's area looked like it had been sitting out there all day. If I want an old soggy pizza I can find it in my fridge on any given day. Nice salad bar, but pricey. This place is certainly better than most "captive" restaurants in museums. Generally if it's a kid-oriented place it's junk food, or if it's arty it's tiny portions of twee food (brie abounds). River View has a nice mix of real food and fast food. They just need to up their game if the Puck's trademark is going to keep its value.

Yelp
Is it weird that is place is one of my favorite parts about visiting the museum? Great pasta at Puck's, and the grill has a lot of solid options. The view is obviously great, too.
