Stayed 5 nights while attending medical appts Room 302 it was very pleasant, most nights I had prepared meals. I did have lunch in the cafe and a couple of beverages at times in the evenings was planning to do breakfast on the last morning but the cafe was overflowing. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. It would be my go to when in Perth so convenient and secure parking.

I can't believe this place has got great reviews. It's basically a 3 star hotel pretending to be 4 star. Front reception is basically in the restaurant. Rooms have the walls painted dark brown. Every door in the building slams. Bathrooms are tiny with kiddie sized toilets and yes you can see into other people's bathrooms when their light is on. Beds are average at best. Pillows are sad and flat. Asked for better ones and offered folded towels to put under them. No clothes washing facilities in the rooms. Had to pay to use a communal laundry. Basically rooms are no better than poor quality motel rooms.

A (usually) quiet boutique hotel with comfortable rooms and staff who are dedicated to their jobs. Despite the name, there are no river views, not even a river glimpse. Too much is built up around it. Pedestrian access to St Georges Terrace (hence the city) is via a convenient footbridge and is actually easier than by car. Be aware the room housekeeping is done every second day, not every day as is traditional. Once you know that, it is not an issue. You're not missing out.

Just had a wonderful stay here. The service is impeccable, the room was spacious and well appointed, the location can't be beaten. The restaurant is famous around town. We will definitely stay here again. Wouldn't mind better pillows and tissues but otherwise we can't fault it. Looking forward to the new extensions too!

Hotel staff were a little inconsistent with their hospitality, hot and cold but generally pleasant. The shower was backed up so when we went to shower it immediately filled up with rank water rendering the bathroom unusable. The restaurant is really nice and great value for money. The after hours reception service was useless, had me on hold for 15 mins after reporting the bathroom issue and was not polite over the phone. They didn’t offer to do anything or change rooms. It was just a sorry. Not a terrible hotel, I think we were unlucky.

To start off, staying here was of great value. But there should be a good standard of what’s advertised. We were put on the ground floor. Which is one glass door away from the restaurant, the noise from the restaurant wasn’t an issue when the door is closed but the glass door kept being put open throughout our stay which we could then hear a lot of noise. Our room was also next to the office of the hotel, so around 6am you can hear staff coming into work which was bothersome. Neither windows in the room opened. There was also a lack in utensils and quality of them. The location of the hotel is very good, easy to walk into the CBD or up to Kings Park.

The cafe bar in the front has a great food and the setting is great, very popular at lunchtime. The place is actually at the foothills of Kings Park and walking distance to the CBD, the staff are very friendly and helpful. We will stay her again.

Great location, easy walking access to city, lovely staff and an amazing restaurant on site (the prawn scrambled eggs were UNREAL). Our room was acceptable, very standard hotel room with no bells or whistles, we had a big issue with the cleaning materials used. Our Fridge, pantry and cupboards STANK of vinegar. Whether it was used to clean or if it wasn't cleaned out from a previous user, it made the room quite unpleasant every time we needed to open them.
