A relaxing stroll along the river, walk it fast, or take your bike for a ride. It's picturesque and usually a breeze off the water to cool it down a little. Several restaurants along the way too and Oak & Stone has a rooftop seating area overlooking the river. If you're lucky you might even see the Mayor down there. Hi Gene! Always a good stop at the Riverwalk.

Google
Visited the Bradenton Riverwalk recently. I would’ve loved to spend more time there, but the heat and humidity quickly became overwhelming. My goal was to capture photos and videos throughout the entire park, but I only managed to scratch the surface of this beautiful walkway that runs along the Manatee River in downtown Bradenton. The Riverwalk offers lush vegetation, mature trees lining the wide sidewalks, children laughing in the splash park, perfectly manicured lawns, and historical markers placed thoughtfully along the trail—all contributing to a peaceful and scenic environment. While there weren’t many people out that day (understandably, due to the heat), it’s clear that the City of Bradenton is doing an excellent job maintaining this gorgeous public space. I fully intend to return during a cooler season to experience the Riverwalk in its entirety. For anyone visiting the area, this stretch of downtown is definitely worth the stop—a subtropical oasis nestled along the expansive Manatee River. Yes, I’ll surely be back to complete the excursion.

Google
It amazing place to ride bikes and take pics. There is a playground for the kids and watching all the boat going up and down the river. Love this place

Google
What a wonderful experience it is to go for a walk in this place, listening to the sea and admiring the landscape of the region. Thank you to the city hall for the beautiful place for a night walk.

Google
What an excellent, well thought out community boardwalk! My wife really enjoyed it. It was the icing on the cake for our vacation.

Google
Excellently planned, safe, well lighted, even pathways, great views, plenty of benches and swings, many pieces of public art, volleyball courts, skate park, fishing, outdoor fitness areas, amphitheater, playground, day dock for boats and the Gulf Island Ferry, etc.

Google
Aleyasba great relaxing time down at Riverwalk. Between the mini-Pier and playground that had live music occasionally which seems to be more than in the past so check online to keep updated on bands and local listing's sometimes even on Facebook. Great for all age ranges literally, don't forget to check out the boat trolly that I hear is free certain hours of the day that takes you straight to Anna Marie Island!!! A++++ won't regret the visit especially with all the surrounding shops in the strip! Enjoy!!!!!

Google

Yelp
A 2 mile long Riverwalk along the Manatee River. We walked past a skate park, over train tracks, splash water park, playgrounds, an amphitheater & some art installations. This is an expansion of Rossi Park between the Green and DeSoto bridges. There were clean shady seating & lots of signage about the Riverwalk. There were cameras & we felt very safe.

Yelp
Super cute space, nice splash pad, walking area and some seating with a view. Plenty of parking and things near by to see and do.

Yelp
Bradenton river walk is a 1.5 mile wood and concrete path along the water with swings, chairs, a splash pad and a skate park along the way. There's artwork and great views of the river.

Sharon S.

Yelp
This is a bit of a mixed review. The views are lovely, the walk is beautiful, and the scenery is amazing. However, there were quite a few unhoused individuals occupying the benches along the Riverwalk, and at times, there were noticeable odors, including marijuana. A little more upkeep and attention to the area would make it feel much more comfortable and enjoyable.

Yelp
Located at 452 3rd Ave W, Bradenton, FL 34205...(between Business US 41 and South Tamiami Trail) you will find a downtown Bradenton's showpiece, Bradenton's Riverwalk (known locally as the Riverwalk)  is an outdoor gathering place, where you can enjoy an AMAZING botanical walk or jog overlooking the Manatee River. The Riverwalk is approximately 1.5-mile with many features including a Mosaic Amphitheater,  a very colorful kids splash pad fountain and playgrounds, a riverfront skatepark, sand Beach Volleyball courts, a Day Dock for boaters, and a Fishing Pier where you can find a variety of fish like snook, redfish, and trout.   The riverwalk is open 24 hours, ADA-accessible and Pet-Friendly.   On this trip I did spot a couple of dolphins    Again, with a skatepark, outdoor amphitheater, sand volleyball court, fishing pier, day dock, kayak launch, tidal zone, botanical walkway and outdoor living rooms for lounging, this Riverwalk truly has something for everyone... Highly recommended

Yelp
Recently updated and made longer. Bradenton Riverwalk has a great selection of different activities along the walk/bike path. Walking path is right on the manatee river. There are multiple fountains, outdoor workout equipment, outdoor auditorium, piers, sand volleyball courts, skateboard park, playground, water park, benches and swings. Area is mostly clean and is a decent distance. There are beautiful boats to look at half of the distance and you can get a quick snack or coffee in downtown Bradenton just up the way. Bradenton Farmers market is on Saturday 10-2pm

Yelp
I love coming to Bradenton and walking the Riverwalk. We usually park at the end near the skate park and first watch the kids skating for a bit. As you walk along, there are nice views of the water, and plenty of interesting seats along the way. You can stop for refreshments at restaurants or just keep that pace up for a good work out.

Yelp
They really did it right here. Plenty of parking at various lots along the 1.5 mile stretch that includes everything... Playground Bathrooms (clean ones) Beach volleyball Skate park Educational path Seating, including cement chaises Water fountains The Manatee River A beautiful path for a walk, a run, a dog walk, fishing and more. Bradenton rocks.

Yelp
I love this area. There's so much to see and do . I walked from one end to the other. Started at the marina by pier 22 where the gorgeous yachts are docked and meandered down, under the bridge and to the other side. There's a workout area, a nature conservatory area, a kids play park, a skate park, volleyball courts, numerous artistic sites among the way (sculptures and whatnot) and at the far end sits caddy's where you can have a cold drink and lunch before you walk back. It's about 3 miles end to end. Makes a great day trip!

Yelp
One of my favorite Bradenton walking ovations. Beautifully situated in downtown Bradenton it's an ideal location for a walk or run. Exercise equipment is available at the end of the walk so you can get in a little toning time too! If you are looking for a place to take the kids look no further. The Riverwalk includes a well equipped playground, volleyball court, and skatepark. The public library is located on the opposite side of the street so, make an afternoon of the area! If you are looking for a place to just unwind, grab a seat on one benches and enjoy the view of water, the pelicans hunting, and blue skies. There are lots of restaurants in the area. We often grab dinner and take an evening stroll. Yesterday, I arrived to find the area beautifully decked out for the holidays. That was a nice surprise. All of this free and available to the public. Parking in the Immediate area can be difficult, but free public parking garage is close by.

Yelp
So the Riverwalk is nice but I have been here twice and told there are shops and restaurants lining the river walk. That's not actually accurate. The view is lovely for sure but the restaurants are sparse and mostly bars. The Bradenton BUS station is within a mile and is flooded with Bradentons homeless population who walk around the area. I wouldn't say there are more than a few shops either. I'm not the least bit impressed with the retail area but yes the walk is lovely near the water. There is a fancy restaurant and ice cream restaurant right there. I was there at Lunch time on a Monday and felt uncomfortable when close to the bus station.

Yelp
This was definitely a great way to get my exercise in after my dinner and ice cream treat. This walk offers a safe way to walk along the rivers edge and see some great views. I went at night so some of my views were restricted but overall it was a great experience. There are great pieces of art to look at, sculptures, a pier, a walking dock, benches, covered swings and a playground for children to play in. The playground was very large, clean, a variety of sets that included a jungle gym, swings, fountain, large grass field and lots of fun!! There is plenty of lightening and people to dream it safe in my eyes. While sitting for a few moments I got to enjoy the river breeze, joggers, rollerbladers, bikers, dogs being walked ( pet friendly ) and also an out door stage area where it looked like plays or entertainment could be found. There was also a firefighters memorial at the end of my walk that shows great respect for the men and women that serve. I was blessed to have experienced RiverWalk and would revisit during the day if ever back in town. There are plenty of restaurants also around this area in a walking distance. I didn't notice any in the actual Riverwalk. But just a hop skip and a jump away you'll find a great selections of restaurants to choose from. The Walk and Playground Area are also FREE.

Yelp
A great place to take a walk along the Bradenton water side. Along the way you will find sand volleyball courts, nice benches for enjoying the day, kids playground, skatepark, beautiful views and more! I definitely recommend it with or without kids. My kids especially love the water fountains you can play in at the kids park.

Andrew W.

Yelp
Beautified to world class after many years of neglect.. welcome to the new downtown Bradenton!

Yelp
Great view and wonderful things to do. Skatepark, multiple playgrounds, splash pad, and workout apparatuses. What's not to like?

Yelp
Stopped by the Riverwalk on a vacation with my kids. The Riverwalk is nice. The kids loved the "outdoor living room" and found the cement lounge chairs cool. The park is very modern and accommodates kids of various ages- no traditional swings or monkey bars, but still enjoyable. The water sprinklers adds a little fun to the experience. Additionally, if you lucky enough to just be able to sit back and enjoy the ambiance while the kids play, seating is pretty plentiful. Free and a great way to spend a couple hours in the outdoors.
google avatar

Yelp
Riverwalk has a little something for everybody. Splash pad for the little ones Skate park for the older ones Outdoor gym for the ones who like that type of stuff. The path itself is advertised as a mile and a half, but it's really 1.3 miles. I know this because I've mapped my run several times. It's a nice area to run, but you will definitely need sun tan lotion. There is 0 shade.

Yelp
We really loved the Bradenton Riverwalk. We have been out this way so many times, and finally checked it out. There was so much to see or do that they organized it nicely with pretty directional signs. The playground was huge, and well as a nice grassy area for a picnic. They had a skateboard park, and tons of areas to ref your feet. There were pretty views of the water all around. This is a perfect spot for the whole family to enjoy the outdoors. Bring your bike, skateboard, rollerblades, or just walk or run. Whatever makes you happy, you will also see it here. Parking was very easy as well!

This is where I train my clients. Very peaceful place and beautiful sight seeing while losing weight and working out.

Yelp
A cute play area nestled by the water. There's a little bit of everything for everyone. Playgrounds, splash pads and a big open field. The views are amazing and the breeze during the evening is even better. A great place to let your kids enjoy some fresh air and burn some energy.

Jeff L.

Yelp
Just ok. Area is starting to get run down. Not sure I would feel safe there after hours.

Yelp
Everything you can ask for in an outdoor waterfront venue...and then some! Words can not do justice to the time, effort and ingenuity that went into constructing the Riverwalk. You must see it to believe it! The Riverwalk officially opened in October of 2012. It's a 1-1/2 mile stretch along the waterfront in downtown Bradenton. The volunteers and designers left nothing out of the equation. There's literally something for everyone. The Riverwalk itself is a meticulously paved pathway with informational signs, mosaics, inlaid designs and cool sculptures along the way. They have lots of "rest" areas with benches, and some really neat concrete "lounge" chairs and concrete chairs that swivel. How cool is that? Amenities galore! There is an amphitheater where there are frequent concerts and plays, a volleyball court, children's play area with splash fountains (it has a unique squishy floor that you could drop an egg on and it wouldn't break), an ESPN sized skate and bike park, fishing pier and kayak-canoe launch area. All strecthed out along the Riverwalk. As if this wasn't enough, we were greeted on our walk by two Manatees and several dolphins dining on the local fish. The city of Bradenton went all out on this one-kudos. If you see someone in a yellow Riverwalk shirt, they are the ambassadors/info people. Let them know you appreciate their efforts; We sure did! http://www.realizebradenton.com/index.php/riverwalk

Yelp
Very nice river walk. Clean. There are play areas and a very nice skate board park along the walkway

Yelp
Went for a lovely stroll along the waterfront with my dad and my daughter. It was a beautiful walk, and it was very relaxing with a lot to look at. It was in the middle of the week in February, and was quite quiet, which was nice. I imagine that weekends would be much busier. I loved all the great playground equipment kids could play on. I will definitely go back when I am in the area.
google avatar

Catherine C.

Yelp
We spent a couple of hours at the Riverwalk today. The walkway went alongside the river. There were people walking dogs, families, and lots of young people. There were poop bag stations, restrooms, and parking. There were benches, lounge chairs, an amphitheater, playground, skate park, fishing pier, and beach volleyball. There's also a neat ice cream shop that I'll try next time!

Yelp
Bradenton Riverwalk has definitely breathed life into the downtown area. After living in Bradenton for almost eight years, the Riverwalk is definitely a much needed option to help us locals fee more optimistic about our town. Now, surrounded by multi-level overpriced condos, I guess that the developers also agree. From the Riverwalk, you get a beautiful view of Palmetto on the other side of the river. That is, if you think Palmetto is beautiful and all. The Riverwalk starts at the docks and ends near Tarpon Pointe Grill. The entire walkway is said to be 1.5 miles long but does not feel very long. So, if you are looking for a good cardio workout, you will need to make a few laps up and down the Riverwalk to get your exercise. It is a great area for exercise, but there is not much shade. There are many seating areas, but I do not recommend coming here after dark. It is only because I do not feel safe on the Riverwalk after dark, due to large packs of roaming teenagers with no supervision. The best place to park is over by the docks on the west side of the bridge, near the library. In a town full of retired folks, it is great to see that there are still young people living in the area. This is primarily seen on and in the vicinity of the skateboard ramps. Bradenton, I wish you the best of luck. While the Riverwalk is nice, I am so happy that I do not live in Bradenton anymore.

Yelp
Bradenton riverwalk is a nice area on the river, it's clean and has a lot to see around it. They have many shops you can go in and maybe grab a ice cream or go into a restaurant for lunch. This is a excellent place to walk around or go for a run. Also a great place to sit and people watch.
google avatar

Yelp
Riverwalk is such a great place for anyone of any age. Lots to do for kids (playground) and teens (skate park and volleyball) and of course the great walking. I love the atmosphere and it's especially great place on a cool day. Great, free fun!
google avatar

Fernando M.

Yelp
Amazing outdoor free skatepark! Lots of ramps and street obstacles... A small part of if is covered by the bridge, amazing view and great Boardwalk!
google avatar

Tyler B.

Yelp
Very beautiful riverwalk. Lots of local events and concerts. Just minutes from old downtown Bradenton. Highly suggest checking this place out
google avatar

Ashley M.

Yelp
Great place for kids if the playground isn't closed down or the water pad is working. If not you can walk it and sit on a swinging beach to get your fun outside with your kid.
google avatar

Nick S.

Yelp
Great place for a walk by downtown Bradenton. Water and bridge views. There are sculpture gardens and art installations along the trail as well as amphitheaters, lots of artsy benches, educational exhibits, a skate park, a fountain play area, playgrounds, interactive features, and a lot of landscape architecture. Corwins will serve you a sundae while you're out exercising. There's a museum with planetarium along the way. Fishing. The River walk is a great urban feature. Well worth checking out and enjoying.
google avatar

Yelp
Wonderful place to walk , not a lot of infrastructure. But gorgeous river views, go all the way to the tiki bar & you have a nice 60 mins walk

Yelp
I'm from out of state but discovered the Riverwalk two years ago when I visited Bradenton. I was very impressed with what the city had done! It's a beautiful and easy walk for all ages with convenient and free parking. The first time I walked along the pathway was at sunset and we were amidst lots of other people riding bikes, walking dogs and strolling their children. This past week my husband and I decided to walk at about 7:30 pm after dark. We were very disappointed that many of the streetlights along the way were burnt out leaving us walking along a dimly lit walkway. At one point we counted 6 consecutive lights that were burnt out. I can say that there were a couple of times along the way that I felt uneasy in my surroundings. I urge the city to pay closer attention to this problem. The Riverwalk is an added plus to the City of Bradenton. Please keep it a safe place for families.

Francisco G.

Yelp
Last week walked all along this promenade along the Manatee River that goes over a mile. There is a skate park, stone reclining chairs, children's playground, fishing piers, a bandshell plus historic exhibits and paintings. Money well spent here for everyone to enjoy. It ends at the downtown marina close to city hall and Old Main Street where several restaurants await after this long refreshing walk that passes under the US 41 bridge. Plenty of free parking and a hotel along the Riverwalk
google avatar

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
I would not recommend this Riverwalk to anyone! I parked along the street at one of the parking spots available and coming back from my walk, found that someone had smashed my window and broke into my car. I always see police cars around and I see plenty of families with young kids at the Riverwalk and it scares me that this could happen.
google avatar

Sara S.

Yelp
The Bradenton Riverwalk is a true gem! My mother took me here on the last night of my recent visit to see her. We parked in downtown Bradenton (for free!) and walked down to the Riverwalk after enjoying a wonderful dinner. We then walked along the Riverwalk all the way to the Tarpon Pointe Tiki Bar. Even though it was late and the sun had set, there were people all along the walk, enjoying all of the great amenities is has to offer. The walk was well lit and had plenty to look at and do, from the awesome HUGE skate park to the abundance of all sorts of chairs/benches/swings, to the cool acoustic installations and the super fun playground!
google avatar

Lila B.

Yelp
I'm amazed this place hasn't been reviewed more. It is so awesome! We had a wonderful time here! My daughter played on the gorgeous new playground that has interesting features, and in the huge splash pad. And my son enjoyed the skate park, which is lovely and shaded by the bridge above. This is such a great place for teens to hang out! What a nice town to build something like this for its residents: http://www.lotsafunmaps.com/Sarasota/Riverwalk_Bradenton.html

Brittney S.

Yelp
Love Riverwalk! Very close to my house so my fiance and I ride our bikes here often and relax on the cement chairs by the water. Beautiful and peaceful views, and always very clean. They have water fountains too so that's nice. The only thing I can think of that would be make Riverwalk better is to have some more small restaurants and shops around.
google avatar

Terri M.

Yelp
Bradenton Riverwalk is excellent, great views of the river and the skyline and landscape along the river, as well as across the river on the Palmetto side. Great for walking, biking, skateboarding, roller blading, volley ball, napping in the out door living room, concerts, art, kids water playground, its just endless activity and beauty. Parking available long the river walk as well.
google avatar

Diane C.

Yelp
Loving where you live is what Bradenton River walk is all about. Downtown Bradenton is a place for everyone; walk the dogs, bike ride with your children, stroll with a loved one, look for manatee's during the summer, visit the water park with your young one's, listen to a summer concert or come to the many festivals. I love downtown, it's beautiful, relaxing and my home. There are many nice places to eat or drink, if you wish.
google avatar

Jane D.

Yelp
This is a very pleasant and safe feeling public walkway along the river. You can park for free in downtown Bradenton (by City Hall/police station) and follow the walkway under the bridge to get to the park. The walk basically spans the area between the two bridges and beyond. You can also pick it up on the other end behind Manatee Memorial Hospital. It is approximately 1.5 miles along the river front offering a great biking and walking/jogging trail along with a skate park, a sand volleyball court and a children's playground tucked along the route. Dogs on leashes are welcome and the water fountains along the way have doggie water spouts, too. Plastic dog doo bags and specially marked trash bins for dog waste are plentiful. The two times I have visited recently I saw a police officer walking the route. There was a decent crowd on the weekend but everyone was well behaved and having a good time. It's a great place to get some exercise and if you have a dog, it's a great place to bring them to socialize with other dogs and enjoy the walk.

John M.

Yelp
Reading some of the other reviews here and on other sites I'm suspicious that some are by city officials or people from the Chamber of Commerce. People trying to promote the Riverwalk. One thing they forget to mention is this is just a sidewalk, nothing more. Unless there's a special activity like a concert at the outdoor theater there are no attractions, no activities and very little amenities along the actual walk. There is a skateboard park at one end and it's quite nice, but lets face it, this activity only appeals to a select few. One thing the city didn't work into the plan was amenities along the actual walk. On one side is the waterfront which admittedly is the main attraction. On the other side of the walk are parking lots, office building and condo's. It's a stark stretch along the land side of the walk without any amenities. If you want a simple refreshment or snack you better plan on leaving the Riverwalk. If someone lives close by I can see them using this the same way locals use a city park. Is this a destination, no, I wouldn't go out of my way to return but if I happen to find myself near the Riverwalk I might get out and take a stroll for a few minutes. The sidewalk itself is clean and well designed.
