I recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning property, and I was thoroughly impressed. The rooms were impeccably maintained, with a fresh and clean feel that made me feel right at home. The amenities were top-notch, including luxurious toiletries that made my stay even more enjoyable. While the staff were friendly and welcoming, there was a slight language barrier, with only the reception team speaking English fluently. However, this didn't detract from my overall experience. The hotel's modern design shone through in its beautiful lobby, complete with ample seating areas where I could relax and unwind. The on-site bar and restaurants were open 24/7, offering a convenient dining option at any time. I also appreciated the coz Currency exchange, which was open till 8 pm. One area for improvement was the service, which could be a bit slow, whether it was the restaurant, housekeeping, or luggage handling for check-out. Additionally, the breakfast spread could benefit from a bit more variety, considering the growing number of international tourists visiting Almaty. Finally, the bathroom lighting could be improved – the dim yellow light made it tricky to get ready in the morning. Overall, this hotel has tremendous potential, and with a few tweaks,it could truly become a top destination for travelers visiting Almaty.

The main atrium is big , right infront the the Lobby with cosy seatings well spread out and a Piano on stage for evening entertainment. It is elegantly decorated, calm with sophisticated surroundings accompanied by a bar in the centre. The view up to the room corridors are elegantly decorated with wall paintings and statue of the Kazakhstan historical figures. Check in at Front Desk on 17 September 2025. Our Superior King Rooms 403/404 are spacious with full room amenities , wifi is fast, directly connected without password. It has all that we needed but I do not understand why they lock the mini fridge without asking us for a deposit during check in. The only let down is our shower hot water faucet is wrong with water supply. Universally, hot water should be dispersed when its turned to LEFT. But in this room, its reversed !!! The breakfast at Brassiere is good - plenty of choices, very fresh, and a combination of different cuisines: European, Asian and local. However the table set up could be more standardised, in this five star Brassiere, some tables have paper napkins instead of the linen napkins.!!! Hotel has many facilities, mostly located at the Lower level. It has ball rooms/function rooms , many fancy shops including spa ,gym, beauty salon and a heated indoor swimming pool. The Pool Cleaners are rude telling my family not to wet the floor besides the Pool. They could have been a bit more professional being in the Hospitality Industry .Moreover is it not their duty to keep floor dry in conjunction with Safety Hazard!!! Until and unless Hotel improve on its staff service attitude, Rixos Almaty shall be the Hotel we return to !! Last but not least, we do have a lovely stay, irrespective !!

The hotel has an impressive lobby a fantastic restaurant and excellent service the room was a let down. The carpets are stained and also hadn't been hoovered before my stay, no hot water in the shower and the bathroom could use some freshener! Guest relations did their best to address my issues.

We chose Rixos expecting a true 5-star experience, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet our expectations. Our room AC wasn’t working, and despite several complaints, the staff took an entire day to respond, which was very frustrating. Eventually, they changed our room — but packing and unpacking again on a vacation was a hassle. Room service is also very slow, which added to the inconvenience. Also, for a hotel of this standard, we expected better vegan breakfast options — very limited choices for plant-based guests. The property and brand have potential, but service quality needs serious improvement.

Stayed for 10 nights. The hotel is quite old, and for the price, it really needs renovation—especially the carpets and some of the furniture. Our in-room safe didn’t work, and the towels were damaged. Breakfast was average at best. At night, you could hear kids screaming and running in the corridors, and no one from staff seemed to care or intervene. Overall, it doesn’t live up to the usual Rixos standards in either quality or pricing. Not worth the value.

Generally speaking hotel is not bad. But it took some time to check in as Receptionist couldn’t confirm my payment that was made by my company. At the end I had to pay by my own card otherwise they didn’t allow me to get in. However the company paid in advance. Recommendation is to improve the service especially with the companies that you have a contact.

This hotel is well situated, being within walking distance of some of the main city attractions, and this is one of its main draw cards. Not sure that it is up to the standard of the number of stars advertised, but overall, it delivers a reasonable standard of accommodation, pleasant service and a fairly good breakfast (the fresh bread was very welcome). It is nevertheless in need of refreshing.

I booked suite upon check in I was told the standard rooms are called suite after arguing I was finally given the room I booked! The rooms are old but it’s not an issue what is an issues is very poor cleaning of the rooms! The carpets are dirty and stained more over daily cleaning is not even hovering the floors! The bedsheet are changed only when you argue every few days! The ac works poorly and the hot water you have to wait twenty minutes to run before you can take a shower! I have called several times asked to speak to manager instead they just sent cleaning staff in the room without Hoover! For the price you pay it not more than three star! The only thing good is food.
