Second visit here for the ice climbing. Generally it's a good hostel, warm and very clean, and the staff are friendly. Although I have to say, I was quite disappointed that the kitchen is no longer accessible, for us to cook our own meals like we did on our last visit. Local eating out options are not brilliant, so I was hoping I'd cook some of my own food on some of the nights. The kitchen door now just has a sign on it saying 'staff only'.

Converted hostel into a budget hotel. Perfect for travelers who want to save some money. 2 levels plus a basement with great common areas and a nice sized bag breakfast (take it to go if you want). Perfect location, right on the Måna river by a picturesque bridge and trails. All the restaurants and bar in easy walking distance, 2 grocers too. Parking can be a bit tight, but everyone fit my 2 nights here. Good staff, they even did my laundry for a small charge. Would definitely stay at again.

Ok, honest review time. Pros: Facility is nice, newly renovated and kept well. Location is nice: easy walk to the pub, Kiwi mini pris, EV charging Rooms are spacious and have sinks, personal heat, two beds. Cons: Vomit was on the floor in the hallway when I came out from my room to go to dinner- I told the receptionist, but nothing was done before I went to bed. Awful smell. Language barrier at check-in: the only place in Norway I had trouble due to a language barrier. Odd that it was in the hostel! Price: More than I expected for a hostel, but the amenities we're also better. That's Norway. Atmosphere: No one congregated in the common areas at all, which is too bad. I wanted to meet other travellers. It was the off-season, though.

All you need. Had a standard room with shared shower and toilet in the corridor. Everything was clean. Welcoming staff and great location. Don't miss out on the breakfast! Fresh bread from a nearby bakery, eggs, cheese, ham and jam. Awesome coffee too.

Stayed for two nights in their cheapest double room with shared bath and toilet (610 NOK)||The room and all the facilities were remarkably clean. ||The beds were fine and the staff very friendly. ||Enjoyed a great breakfast with freshly baked bread. ||In the basement there is a room for drying wet clothes. ||The hostel is placed near the center of Rjukan next to the small river. ||I takes 2 minutes to walk to the nearby supermarket. ||Only complaint is that we could hear the guy next door snore heavily at night. ||Definitely recommends this hostel.

Stayed there one night in july 2018. It is a good low budget bed & breakfast. It is located in the center of Rjukan with short distance to a grocery store. It offers clean and low-priced rooms with a shared toilets. The premises were all very clean and the staff were helpful.

In centre of town, in winter it is full of ice climbers and skiers. Has recently had a refurbishment, all showers, toilets and rooms nice and clean. Good value and plenty to eat at breakfast. Free WiFi near the office. Some bunks, some doubles and some the odd single.
