Chose this restaurant for a special occasion dinner. Previous visits we've experienced great service and food. Ahead of time, we perused the menu online and were excited by the photos of the dishes.
The dish I ordered at the restaurant, pad Thai, was nothing like the website photo and tasted nothing like pad Thai should, based on dishes experienced at Thai restaurants. It arrived with thick slices of jalapeno on top and whole peanuts. It was drenched in a brownish sickly sweet sauce, possibly hoisin sauce? The noodles were in small pieces, and the four shrimp were rubbery and tasted overly fishy, suggesting they were old. There was no hint of any Thai spice or lime. I would not recommend this dish at all. The other dishes we ordered did look like the online images, but portions were small for the price. The side salad looked appealing, but once you started eating, the salad was swimming in dressing that was too overpowering.
As usual, the staff were working hard to provide good service. Food service was a bit slow, and I personally feel that the kitchen is causing the standard of this restaurant to go down.
