I think this was the best burger I’ve ever had! The bacon jam and jalapeños and grilled crispy bun! Just incredible! Great fast service as well! Thank you I’ll be back 😃

Everything on the menu here is so good! Loved the salad - the crispy chickpeas is really crispy and crunchy and the dressing was on point. The dumplings and mac and cheese were also a favorite.

Really great food! Fried chicken was cooked perfectly and the sides were great. Really great portion size. Employees are super kind and service is great.

And the people that work there are amazing too. The place has a chill vibe, great for casual date night but also welcoming to families and our go to place to take company when they visit. Nice outdoor eating area in the summer and within walking distance to lots of shops in Manchester. FIVE STARS!

Roadrunner was SO incredibly great. We had the Mac and cheese, and eggplant sabich, matzo ball soup and Nashville hot chicken. Everything was fresh, homemade, locally sourced, nothing seemed frozen or pre-prepped. Probably the best Mac and cheese we’ve ever eaten - great cheese taste and perfect consistency. Kids are two large portions! Staff was extremely friendly. Total bill for a family of four was $75. It’s a great place for a great meal at a great price point. We tried to go back the second night we were in town but alas they were closed. On my must-do list for a trip to Manchester VT.

Casual setting for tasty sandwiches, fried chicken, burgers, salads and more. Prices are reasonable and the food is quite good. I enjoyed the burger which was two beef patties, cheese and condiments. Delicious but messy. Small fries was a good sized portion. Indoor and outdoor seating and restrooms are available. Casual setting for family dining. Parking is possibly a headache.

Overall, a pretty decent experience here. While a bit off the beaten path (to find the entrance, it’s a bit set into the side near a couple other businesses, but the doorway was semi-obscured for me) the food was pretty good. My favorite part of the meal was the Mac and cheese which was very tasty but the chicken was good as well. I also didn’t wait too long, which was nice, and their bathrooms were clean.

We ended up here by accident while charging car and exploring. How fortunate for us. Has the chi-b sandwich and an ice cream sandwich. And both did not disappoint. The hot chi b sandwich was DELICIOUS. Fresh and delicious and hit the spot perfectly. The ice cream sandwich was also delicious fresh with creamy vanilla ice cream. Would def stop here for lunch again!!

Third visit today for lunch. A pouring rain end-of-September Wednesday. Food was as excellent as we remembered from our first two visits. Quick service. I had the lunch box (choice of 3 proteins or sweet potato fries as a veg option) and hubby had the OKOB burger. Both flavorful and delicious!! My Peruvian chicken had a sauce which packed a bit of heat (I loved it, but just FYI). We ordered some fried chicken thighs to go, one Southern Princess and one Nashville Hot. We hit the road and ate the chicken cold on fresh bread when we arrived at our destination--this is some of the best fried chicken I've ever eaten! Cold on a roll as a sandwich IT WAS ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS, not greasy. A sign of quality. The coating spice blend was *chef's kiss*. And this may seem like a weird compliment, but...the chicken meat tasted sooooo good: it has a great chicken flavor. I'm guessing it is a locally raised bird (not that factory-farmed Tyson crap). We are definitely eating at Road Runner next time we're in Manchester.

Wow....just wow. Everything was perfect. 5 Giant stars. 9 thumbs up. The Ceasar salad was the best I have ever eaten, and I consider myself a Ceasar salad snob, a CC conesuier if you will. The fresh peas delicately mixed with the pork lardons and crushed romano crotons were sheer bliss. I will never forget this salad as it now rules as my gold standard. We wanted to hug the chef. Everything tasted like it was scratch made with love using fresh seasonal ingredients; this includes the pork dumplings which you must try during your lifetime!! I could drink that sauce. I usually take pictures of the food but it was devoured in what seemed like seconds. Staff was super friendly and very good at their jobs. When you are looking for the place remember that it is tucked away, bordering on hidden, so look up directions because Waze won't bring you right in front of the place. Great for lunch. Indoor and outdoor seating. Order at the counter and choose a table. Very efficient system. Can't wait to return for the burgers (Vermonters call them 'meat pattys') with fried green tomatoes! Kudos. Great chicken sandwich!! Perfectly crisp on the outside. Probably one of the best chicken sandwiches I've had. I didn't get the Nashville hot, got less spicy. Perfect amount of spice. Friendly staff. Clean establishment. A pleasant seating area outside. Perfect for a casual meal.

I had the pork and broccoli rabe. It was good with lots of flavor. The lady at the register was very helpful. The restaurant was not big but clean and with lots of light.

We stopped in for lunch after it was recommended to us by someone at the Orvis outlet. An upside to this selection is that they share a parking lot in what is a busy downtown Manchester area. The menu offered a choice of sandwiches and salads. The person who recommended Road Runner mentioned the fries are particularly good and the person who took our order said they are known for their chicken sandwiches. These two recommendations made choosing our lunch easy. We both had the fried chicken sandwich and we split an order of one of the specialty fries -- pimento cheese. We choose to sit inside though they have a nice outdoor seating area. The sandwich was good! It was fried chicken and Brussel sprout slaw with a side of pickled vegetables. I really enjoyed the pickled vegetables (onions, carrots and cucumbers). The fries were good too. Overall if you are in Manchester, give Road Runner a try.

Such a great find tucked away in this plaza! The food is all scratch made and so fresh. I had a special - "That Ain't No Caesar Salad" with roasted Peruvian chicken and it was AMAZING! Other orders in my group were the kids cheeseburger and the fried chicken sandwich - both got rave reviews. Servers at the counter were super helpful with recommendations and very friendly. Perfect spot for lunch with plenty of outdoor tables for a nice day.

Wow! Love this restaurant! Great food, good prices and beautiful outdoor patio seating. We're from Ca. and found this on Yelp last year and have returned. This will be a regular when we come to Vermont.

Bring your big appetite for big flavor, big portions and big heart! Road Runner did not disappoint. Our cashier taking our order at the counter was super patient as we debated on what to get. I got the specialty chicken sandwich, which was delicious, da hubs got the Oklahoma Onion Burger (OKOB) and we shared the pimento cheese fries. We barely got through half the fries - seriously generous portion. I accidentally ordered a second chicken breast by mistake and the server offered to take it off our bill with no fuss. If we didn't live 3+ hours away i gladly would have taken it home with me! Bathroom was clean and service was friendly. Visited here during leaf peeping season and between lunch and dinner but it wasn't overly crowded. We got served and found a seat in no time. Looking forward to visiting again.

The pork dumplings and the Philly sandwich were so good. The fries are an absolute must. I'll be ordering my own portion next time we go which my husband insists we absolutely have to go back. Highly recommend you check them out. Despite how small the place is they have plenty of seating inside and outside.

A treasure of a restaurant that I would have to move into if I lived nearby. The food is delicious, fresh, and prepared with care, and everyone is so darn nice! I had a very very delicious eggplant sandwich and was helpfully guided to order a single chicken breast, which was outstanding And so delicious! A casual comfortable lunch spot. Special burger tonight was FGT. Fried green tomato burger with bacon jam. 2 patties and all the condiments you want. Outstanding! 2 others in the party had the OK burger. Also with 2 patties plus cheese. Condiments also included except the bacon jam. Last member had their fried chicken. Choice of pieces and heat level. It came plain but also available with medium or hot spice versions. Hand cut fries were also delicious. Also had an order of sliced baked sweet potatoes. Fabulous! Soft drinks and beer available. Indoor dining or outdoor was available with plenty of room. Ordering at the counter was easy and highly efficient. Our meal arrived promptly and served to our table. Great place for a quick meal without the Golden Arches!

This place is INSANELY good!! We were so excited to try this place and it really surpassed expectations. I ordered the burger and my husband got the hot chicken meal with mac and cheese. He also took a bite of my burger and decided to order one for himself as well. The burger was easily one of the best burgers I've had anywhere. Everything about it was delicious. Very messy but so worth it! Also the pickled vegetables it came with were so good! My husband's hot chicken had very unique flavors and whatever spices they used for it were exceptional and the mac and cheese was great. The spice level he got was southern princess and it was the perfect heat level. We ate on the cute little patio area and you can dine inside as well. Service was so friendly and quick. All in all I am very sad I live hours away and can't experience this all the time. We will definitely be back whenever we are in the area!

Best roast pork I've had outside of Philly. Period. Great sandwich shop that has fast service and a quiet vibe. Came here on the way to a gig and myself and my whole cohort really enjoyed our time here. My friend also got the roast pork and we had the same reaction when we bit: "OH WOW." Perfectly roasted pork with a sharp provolone and broccoli rabe, it was a true treat. The fried chicken sandwich also looked insanely good and my friend who ordered it was quite happy with the heat on it too. Love the little side of pickled vegetables as they provided some nice brine to cut through some of the richness. The bread was soft and cradled the contents well, a thoroughly composed sandwich! Would come back if I am ever in Manchester.

Without question one of the best meals we had while in Vermont. The burger was juicy, so flavorful, and sesame seed bun was a surprising star. Even though we are a long way from TN, the Nashville hot chicken sandwhich was so tasty and the garlic fries with garlic aioli put it over the top. Protect this place at all costs!

Slightly tucked away right off of Main St, this casual lunch stop was such a great find while we were spending the day in Manchester. It's casual, you order at the counter and they'll bring your food out. We weren't starving so we ordered the fried chicken to share. It was so so good, as was the accompanied mac and cheese and pickled veggies. The patio seating outside was very relaxing. Would definitely recommend and come back next time I'm in the area.

Stopped by this spot on the way to Killington. What we experienced was nothing short of transformative. I started this trip a city slicker. Now after eating this chicken sandwich I sold my home and live in the mountains. From now on, it's all about fresh powder, bold flavors, and family.

On our way from NY to Bromley Mountain looked up a place for lunch and Road Runner had excellent reviews, an interesting menu, and convenient parking. It's hidden inside a strip mall, but well worth the exploration to find it. The beef sandwich was juicy and a unique balance of juicy beef. The hamburger was especially good. The pickles were highly touted and lived up to expectations. My wife loves pickles and really liked RR's. Outdoor seating was relaxing and private. Friendly service made it a 10 out of 10.

Awesome sandwiches, great salads, excellent fast-casual and eco-friendly option in downtown Manchester. This is definitely a bit of a scene and they're experiencing a lot of success, but with good reason, great food, pleasant customer service, and an affordable, casual dining option for even foodie-type diners. I really enjoyed the salads and soups in addition to the ubiquitous sandwiches.

Service was excellent and so was the good. Highly recommend this restaurant. All of the food was freshly prepared.

Drove down the mountain to try this place for lunch and now I feel like I need to move closer! Amazing fried chicken, delicious double decker burger, dumplings that were perfectly fried and seasoned. But the almost savage battle between my kid and I over the last of the incredible fries was hilarious. Seriously, buy your own fries, there is no sharing these. Will be heading back often!!

One of the best sandwiches I have ever tasted was road runners Chi. B. Just absolutely bursting with flavor! I tasted my son's burger which was a special, the frita burger which was a burger patty, chorizo patty and some kind of sauce and that was also top notch flavor. Loved the little patio, it was a perfect day to eat outside. Definitely check out this hidden gem!

We just picked up our favorite fries and the attention to detail on keeping everything separate on a to go order is amazing . All the extra sauce on the side so you don't have funky fries when you get home .

Amazing food and the freshest ingredients! Don't let the smaller menu fool you! it's small because that's all they need to offer to to be awesome! Simple counter service makes things easy and there's definitely going to be awesome outdoor seating by the looks of things!

This Place was amazing and a great addition to the Manchester food scene. The fried chicken pieces were great (5/5) - I had both the breast and the thigh and I preferred the breast, but I think it is simply a matter of preference. I did not try the fried chicken sandwich but I will be getting when I am back up in two weeks. I also tried the mac and cheese (4/5) - this was also great. My wife had the bento box with the Peruvian spiced chicken (5/5) and she finished the entire box (and she is a picky eater) and loved it. The chicken was cooked to perfection and was deliciously moist. My daughter had the bento box with the vegetable dumpling - I did not try the dumplings but both my wife and daughter loved them. Also, I did not try the rice and beans but they got great reviews. I strongly recommend the Road Runner
