Roadside Seafood

Love the casual vibe and family atmosphere. My grilled scallops and fried catfish were terrific. My wife's grilled shrimp were overcooked. The she crab soup was fantastic! There are several types of beer available. I suspect the tacos are the best menu category, but for sure, the side items are legit. It's a small, quaint place.

The first visit on Friday night I would have given 10 stars. The food was great , the service was great and the portions were huge! We loved everything! Because of that we came back Sunday and ordered same food (shrimp, scallops, fried tomatoes) and wow. The portions looked like half the food was missing. The tomatoes were so greasy I couldn't eat them and they came out 10 mins after rest of our order. Service was ok at best. It honestly felt like a totally different restaurant. So disappointed. We are just visiting but this won't be on our to do list next time sadly because of the terrible inconsistency in food quality and quantity.

The staff were pleasant and friendly. The food was delicious! Highly recommend the baskets - we chose shrimp, clams, and shark bites and they were supberb! The clam strips were HUGE! A great way to end our night on our anniversary weekend.

The crab cakes are the best that I have ever had in my life, and I am not young.😊 The squash casserole was delicious! The fried shrimp on a hoagie bun was also scrumptious!! I want a restaurant in Cincinnati like that because I would eat at the Roadside Seafood at least once a week or more. This goes to show that you cannot judge a book by the cover. The she crab soup was delicious also.

We had a bit of a wait here, and some issues with service, but the food was pretty good over all. A bit pricey on some items but to be expected in this area. Smaller tight dinning area's great for a small family or couples. Would be a bit more congested for larger parties. We had a variety of food, decent quality. There was a shift change between servers shortly after we were seated so we waited about 15 min before our drink orders were taken. We also had to get up and request refills several times, but at this point it seemed as if they only had one server so may have just been a fluke for that day.

Shared “Sharon’s sample platter” with my husband along with a bowl of okra soup each. The platter had huge fried oysters, clam strips shrimp, crab ball, frog legs and more. And yes fried frog does taste like chicken. I also had an order of homemade banana pudding.

Best fish tacos ever! The shark one called 'Hot Mess' was the most impressive, but everything I had was delicious. The portioning was also very generous for the price, a bowl of she-crab is a meal itself! I look forward to being a regular here.

Great shrimp! Location is small and it was hot inside, but the food was good.
