This is a co-living space with a communal kitchen an outdoors coworking space and an outdoors swimming pool with two hammocks. The vibe will depend on the people staying there at the time, so it's really down to your luck. During my one-week stay I haven't seen any families with kids. The age range is 20-40 with a mix of solo travelers, couples and groups. Unlike a hotel you can interact with other guests.
The coworking space isn't exactly your typical coworking space. It's outdoors so the weather will have an impact on how pleasant a working day you'll have. Though the top is covered, so you can still keep working while it's raining.
The rooms are fine with ensuite bathroom. Though the humidity does cause an unpleasant smell. The aircon helps a bit, but don't count on it. It's a different humidity level in every room so you might want to check out different rooms before settling in.
The kitchen has all necessary utensils and there is a supermarket at around 15 minutes walking distance, so cooking is a very viable option. Mind the ants though, as everywhere else in Bali, there is no shortage of them.
There are enough restaurants nearby, but Ubud center is quite a bit of a walk. So better to take a scooter. Bali has almost no sidewalks, so the island isn't exactly designed to promote walking long distances.
The pool is nice, gets cleaned everyday and the hammock is a nice touch.
You get a discount (if it's still going on) if you're a Hubud (coworking space) member. So worth checking out that option.
