Bounce is in a great location, central to pretty much every thing and is just steps away from the entrance of Flinders Street Station. You can pretty much walk to anywhere from the hostel and there is an abundance of food choices right out side the door. Staff are very friendly on arrival and a lot of seating scattered around the hostel so plenty of opportunities to chat to other travellers. All felt very safe and secure, 24/7 reception and they’ll give you a key card for the different floors, room and bathroom. Just try and not to loose the key card. Bathrooms were good, plenty of showers and sinks to use and not busy, I did find tho that the showers were on the colder side in the morning. Also they don’t provide any shampoo / conditioner, body wash or towels for free which can be a bummer. Beds were great, nice curtains that block the light when the room light is on, pretty much squeak free and plenty of extra space around the room to move and put your things. They have a light and world wide power point in the bed, also a massive storage box too that can be locked. You choose your bed when you get there so unless you’re early, you’ll probably be stuck with the top bunk. There’s not much ventilation in the rooms, in the colder nights it was fine but I don’t think I would like to sleep there in the summer. Plenty of room in the kitchen and lots of places to sit and eat, like a dining room there’s books and games and a good place to chill. Even has some sound free booths if you need to make a call. All around a very good experience, plenty of good people staying here, and the location itself is amazing.

Amazing location, reasonable facilities- rooms a bit stinky but everything you could need in terms of sockets, lockable cabinet, laundry etc. Awesome underground bar. What makes the place is the staff- Kyle on reception, Rory and Lewis in the bar- great guys. Would stay again.

I wasn’t expecting to enjoy my time at this hostel so much. One of the best hostels I have been in so far on my travels. I stayed in an 8P dorm and it didn’t feel cramped. The bathrooms were always clean. Also the staff were really nice and cool to chat to, especially Ella, always welcoming and down for a chat. I would definitely stay here again!

Been staying here for a couple weeks now and it’s been a blast. Beds are comfortable, bathroom and kitchen are kept pretty clean, and the staff is amazing. There are events almost every night which gives plenty of opportunity to meet other travelers! (Shout out to Zoe and Sam for being amazing guides). It’s also centrally located, making it easy to get around. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at.

My experience paying for a shared room with six women was good, and I would stay here again. The room was quite large, with more than one closet per person, clean, and had air conditioning. They give you a towel, and the bathroom has high-quality soap, conditioner, and shampoo. The common areas are incredible; some of the best hostels I've stayed in. (I have friends who paid for mixed-shared rooms and had a very different experience: no air conditioning, bad smells, noise, etc.) They have a lot of social events and a bar, it’s really nice for meeting people if you’re new in town. Also all the reception people were very nice.

This is one of the two best hostels I've stayed at! The bunks are comfy and creak-free with privacy curtains and built-in lockers. There are universal sockets both in the bunks and the lockers, which was very thoughtful. The lounge area is spacious and social and has five privacy booths. Breakfast at the neighboring HOWM is excellent and can be purchased at booking. The place is very centrally located. The river, a subway station, and many nice restaurants are all a minute away. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Towels are US$4 and laundry is $8. There are some reviews on the lack of air conditioning, though I found that the fans (two ceiling fans and two huge standalone fans in an eight-person dorm) were good enough in March. I did not notice any noise issues either. My husband and I had a wonderful two night stay at Roamer St Kilda.|The Suite room was large, very spacious and tastefully decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was amazing. There was an XL TV and a comfortable couch for sitting. The room was extra clean on our arrival and the staff were friendly and a pleasure to speak with.|The position of the Hostel is right in the Golden Triangle of St Kilda with parks, restaurants, pubs and transport and a short walk to Acland St and beaches.|The building is full of facilities like a roof top bar and available breakfast.|A fantastic place to stay even for elderly traveler's like us!|Highly recommend.

Receptionists Shakira and Georgi were really pleasant, friendly and helpful. Service stars for them. Layla at front desk can learn to be welcoming and friendly. Room was comfortable and location was the best. Kitchen needs to be clean and needs to smell good. Overall not a bad experience.
