Roar Africa thought of every detail, we had amazing accommodations, private flights, meet and greets, snacks, drivers and of course we saw all the wildlife we set out to see and more. We are so happy that we worked with ROAR to plan our large family vacation for a group of 12, ranging in ages from 8-75 years old! ROAR curated an exceptional experience for us that included both the safari and the beach. Everyone we interacted with from ROAR was friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and responsive. No detail was overlooked. ROAR is different from other travel agencies, they create bespoke experiences that are tailored for your own party (much more customized than traveling with a large group with preset "canned" itineraries). We chose Roar Africa for our East African safari in September 2025, and it was extraordinary. Merritt curated a dream itinerary for us in Kenya and Tanzania, and Cara-Jo, our Client Liaison based in Africa, was in communication with us every step of the way. From the moment we landed in Nairobi, Roar provided total peace of mind. Logistics can seem overwhelming with internal flights, transfers, visa requirements, and border crossings, but we never felt unsettled, unsure, or unsupported. While the natural world is what brought us to Africa, the personal connections we made with our guides left the most indelible memories. A safari is a vacation you want handled by experts, and Roar Africa is the benchmark. We thought of it as the trip of a lifetime, but now we want to go again!

We had a truly wonderful experience with ROAR Africa. The VIP service and flawless execution made our trip seamless from start to finish. Our guides, Tim and Lazarus, were exceptional—warm, knowledgeable, and generous in sharing their insights on South African history, traditions, and culture. Highlights included hiking Table Mountain, visiting the penguins at Boulders Beach, exploring the Cape of Good Hope, and taking in the spectacular coastal drive around Cape Town. Our time in South Africa’s winelands felt far too short—the scenery was breathtaking, the wines outstanding, and the farm-to-table dining experiences unforgettable. We’re looking forward to returning with more time in the future. The two safaris exceeded our expectations, offering close encounters with most of the wildlife we had hoped to see. The intimate lodges fostered special family moments, creating memories we will treasure forever. ROAR Africa delivered an extraordinary journey we will never forget.

Roar Africa planned our, family of 4, trip to South Africa and safari. It was fantastic as the views already state. So I wanted to highlight a critical factor if anyone is traveling to Africa that has accessibility issues. It was absolutely wonderful and in my view critical that the company had people on the ground to handle any hiccups that might happen. (As anyone who travels with an accessibility issue always has to face.) When their staff realized that a van wasn’t going to work they quickly brought a sedan coupled with another terrific tour guide so we had two vehicles for touring in Capetown. Our now 2 guides were very sensitive to my needs along with providing interesting information on the sites. The staff again on the ground realized that I might have an issue withe planes. They secured the proper paperwork and got approval for my boarding and exiting. I saw the papers that required a doctors signature that would have been complicated and stressful without Roar Africa staff. Fortunately, no major issues happened but I was not worried about it because we were in the hands of the Roar Africa staff. Special thanks to Gina, Lisa, Tim, Pascale and Lazarus.
