Google
Powerful waterfall that is definitely worth a stop. You can't get a that close as the viewing area is a ways back from the falls but it's totally worth the short walk.

This hike is quite brief, but it leads to beautiful views of the falls. I reccomend this hike to anyone looking for views of waterfalls and to people who are fans of short hikes. However, the rocks around the hike (especially at the end) are very slippery, so be careful.

Not a lot of people come to this area of the park but I'm glad we did. Of course, it's a wonderful drive and since there's a few cars, we saw deers grazing by the roadside. The falls is a few meters from the road and it was an easy hike. It's not a vry tall waterfalls, but true to it's name, it's roaring and has lots of water in it. We stayed for a little bit just enjoying the scenery. You can also find a tiny waterhole to dip your tired feet in.

Pros: - Scenic Beauty 🏞️: Beautiful views, clean picnic areas, and impressive waterfalls. - Accessibility ♿: The trail to the falls is paved and short, making it easy for families and those with disabilities. Cons: - Safety ⚠️: Visitors should be careful on the rocks as they can be slippery, and the water flow is deceptively fast in some areas. - Noise Level 🔊: The falls are very loud, which might be a con for those seeking a quiet experience.

Google
Very short hike about 5 minutes from the parking lot, the waterfall itself the rocks were very slippery and some parkour to get down to see the waterfall up close, there was parking space available during this season it was very cold so I suggest bundling up! ⛰️

kind of a cool spot probably would be fun to jump in the pool when it's hot

Google
Beautiful views, clean picnic areas and bathrooms with plenty of parking. Roads are nice and clean from any debris or gravel. I was happy to see that the 3 places to buy gas were not overpriced at all. Very reasonable and friendly. Very peaceful and cooler that staying in town.

Google
A very short walk from the parking (easy to get parking). The falls are literally roaring at this time of the year. Be careful of the slippery rocks. The falls are loud and have an amazing flow.

Yelp
Less than 10 minutes drive from Cedar Grove visitor center, parking at the Roaring River Trailhead Parking lot, then 5 minutes walk to Roaring River Falls, it's an easy walk and not crowded.

Yelp
Well worth the drive up there. Such a beautiful and peaceful place. Quick walk from the parking lot and connected to 2 other short trails if you want to continue hiking.

Yelp
A short but violent, beautiful and roaring waterfall can be reached on a wide, paved 0.3-mile round trip hike. Bring bug spray. The appeal is not the height of the waterfall, but rather how it propels between rocks and falls 20 feet into a pretty, swirling greenish-blue pool of the Kings River. The pool looks safe for swimming though I've read it is quite dangerous. Once you've felt the mist and heard the roar of Roaring River Falls, turn around and head back down the trail. On the hike back, you will have nice views of North Mountain and the jagged cliffs on the opposite side of Kings Canyon. The mountain towers over the treetops, rising over 3,500 feet above the canyon floor. Take the right at the fork (or follow the river noise). To the left you can also reach Zumwalt Meadow, Kanawyer Loop Trail, Bubbs Creek, and the backcountry of the Sierra, but my only interest was the easy walk to the waterfall. 32 miles from the Kings Canyon Visitor Center, it is one of the last stops for the north side of the park, after Big Stump, Panoramic Point, General Grant Grove, Junction View, Hume Lake (detour), the Scenic Byway and Boyden Cavern, and Grizzly Falls, all of which you will pass to get here. The only thing past it is Mist Falls at Road End a few miles up.

Yelp
My first time visited roaring River falls and it was pretty cool and beautiful. It was a short walk (paved trail for about 0.3 miles) to this waterfall. It's a 5 minutes walk to the falls. Don't compare it to the Yosemite Falls but it was tall and not crowded. I also climbed around the rocks to take some nice photos there but just to be careful. It's such a beautiful place and peaceful.

Yelp
My favorite waterfall out of all we saw in the parks! It's deep into King's Canyon National Park, immediately off Generals Highway and impossible to miss. Definitely not about the height as it's only about 20 ft tall...but it was heavy and thunderous when we visited in June 2020! It empties into a large, beautiful emerald green pool below and carries on into King's River. If you step to the right a bit and hop out onto the boulders, you can see the top tier of the falls and it makes for some gorgeous photos! The water is so deliciously tempting, but it's very cold and there are signs around saying it's deadly, so do your best to resist swimming lol! There is plenty of paved parking. The trail itself is short at 0.3 miles long round-trip! It's also paved and relatively flat. A very easy, shaded hike with a gorgeous waterfall at the end. Side note: Before exiting the trail, you have an option to carry on hiking all the way to Zumwalt Meadow (see my separate review for this one!) and its about just over 3 miles round trip.

Yelp
Although not much of a hike, with just about a half mile from parking to the waterfall, it was truly incredible. Despite Memorial Day crowds, it was a truly worthwhile stop. There was an incredible amount of water, and the sound was truly impressive!

Yelp
You'll hear the mighty roar of this majestic waterfall echoing even before the sight of it. Just a short walk from the parking, your eyes will behold on this wonderful gem located inside King's Canyon National Park. Parking spot is few. You can choose your spot to enjoy the view along the line of the river but the best spot is front row seats to the waterfall itself. Another kid-friendly hike in this park. There's plenty of water even in August. I've seen some people do a plunge but be careful because the waters can run deep towards the middle. Nice cool plunge after a long hike from the other trails.

Yelp
Short hike from the parking lot to the waterfall! Wear your water shoes so you can hike down to the waterfall and enjoy the COLD water! Make sure to go early to claim your spot and go before 2pm to get some sun.
