ROAST Coffee

ROAST does 2 things and does them brilliantly - coffee and 3 pastries. The best cup of coffee we had during our recent trip to Copenhagen. They have a selection of 3 freshly baked pastries - pain-au-chocolat, plain croissants and cardamom croissants. The service is slightly slow when they are busy but it's well worth the wait.

Some cafes don’t care too much about their non-coffee drinks, but this wasn’t the case for ROAST coffee - their hot chocolate was very nice! I could taste the nutty flavour of the chocolate too. It wasn’t too sweet either. It went well with the oat milk. They roasted their own coffee beans and offered a range of tasting options including pour over with Chemex. There were many beans to choose from. They didn’t offer decaf beans unfortunately - I wish they did. The staff were friendly and explained their products well based on our needs. Very nice atmosphere with good chill music. No toilets though.

I have been buying their coffee online (beans, for espresso purposes) and am completely thrilled with the quality and tastes (mostly light or very light roast). The delivery is always on time. Absolutely recommend.

If you're a coffee enthusiast always on the hunt for small, unique coffee brands with different roasting styles and blends, Roast Coffee at Vestmannagade 4, 2300 København, Denmark, is a hidden gem! I had the flat white, and it was perfectly creamy and smooth—one of the best I’ve had in Copenhagen. They also offer a lovely selection of Danish pastries that pair beautifully with your coffee of choice. What really stood out was the cozy atmosphere and the ability to see the entire coffee-making process from start to finish. It’s a great spot if you enjoy watching your coffee being made with care. They also offer milk options, which is a nice touch for those with dietary preferences. Definitely a must-visit for any coffee lover!

We visited ROAST Coffee two times already! It's the BEST coffee in Copenhagen so far!!! Don't take my word for it, you must visit yourself. I love everything about this place, from the store, the bean selection, the knowledge, the service, everything is just right.

Just finished the 112th entry in my specialty coffee logbook over an amazing cup of coffee brewed with ROAST beans and slowly coming to a conclusion - that ROAST, on average, sells the best coffee, especially their premium beans, in all CPH, at a fair price and an amazing variety. This cold brew coffee is out of this world delicious. I had a cold brew with oat milk and they put just the perfect amount of sweetener syrup in it to make this truly one of the best iced coffees I’ve ever had. On top of this, the croissants are heavenly. Crispy on the outside, a little sweet and super fluffy inside. The barista was very sweet and competent. It was a pleasure to visit this coffee shop and I’d come back anytime!

This coffee shop has a very unique atmosphere, as we can see how the coffee beans are being ground with several sacks filled of fresh coffee beans around the large machine (photo attached). We went here as I found this coffee shop with 4.9 ratings on Google Maps, wherever I see excellent ratings, that's where I'll go! 😁 We ordered 1 oat latte and 1 cappuccino. Both were delicious! the coffee was very strong, yet both regular milk and oat milk were very creamy. Excellent balance!

Wonderful coffee shop with incredibly smooth and non-acidic taste. service is very efficient and multilingual and churns out the goods! There are usually only 2-3 baked items to choose from ( pain au chocolat and cardamom were the choices today). The ambience is sleek and scandic cool with plenty of light wood and streaming sunlight). I like their refillable glass cup (46 dkk deposit), which if you're planning to be here for several days I'd recommend getting it especially if you typically use the disposable variety.

really good coffee and espresso, would be 5 stars but they make a big deal about putting ice into drinks (they only offer ice for cold brew which I don't like). They made me a drink with ice once but not the second visit, so will just go to one of the many good coffee shops in cph instead that don't make a fuss about iced espresso drinks (prolog, kaffedepartementet, democratic coffee, coffee collective, alice, darcy's)

Great place if you like coffee, and appreciate the care it takes to roast and brew good coffee. It's a small place, but chilling is encouraged. Meet with friends over a nice cup, relax and have conversation. If you prebuy enough cards, you get to use a handmade ceramic cup made by a local artisan. Wish I was here longer! Came here twice, met two different crews and both were quite welcoming and nice.

Along the water in an trendy neighborhood is a coffee shop that makes you feel like you're in Manhattan. In the basement of a building, the space is simple, yet very chic. There's bar seating and a small table by the window. Because of this, most people order their coffee to go. Roasting their own coffee (and selling bags of beans), the baristas know what they are doing. Out of all the coffee we drank while in Copenhagen, Roast provided the best cup of joe. My latte was perfect and my friend said his cortado was the best he's had. The price is reasonable compared to other Copenhagen cafes.

Perfection! Start a heavenly morning in this roasterie with a cup of cortado or an aromatic drip freshly made. The ambiance is warm and welcoming and the staff make you feel right at home. Bubbly place with perfectly made coffee makes this a prefect start of a day.

Best coffee in Copenhagen! You can tell that barista love his job and his coffee! We even bought a bag of coffee to go with us. You won't be disappointed

Micro roastery and coffee bar located right behind the waterfront on Bryggen. Probably the best roastery in Copenhagen. Excellent coffee and service!

They roast their own beans. Never had a less than stellar coffee at a shop that roasts. Also, they have a hot chocolate that won best in the world 5 years in a row. Not on the menu, so just ask. It was amazing.

Really good coffee and great location on Islands Brygge. It's a pretty tiny place so seating is limited but it if you can snag a seat its a cozy place to meet a friend or hang out with a good book. I imagine it gets pretty busy on a sunny a day as it's the perfect stop to grab an iced coffee and walk down to the water. They also roast their own beans right in the store so it's a great place to purchase coffee as well!

We dropped through for our morning coffee after reading some of the reviews on this place and I can tell the reviews are correct! Probably the best coffee I have had in Europe!

Highly recommend this place. All beans roasted in-store. Had a delightful latte crafted by friendly, knowledgeable baristas.

#1 in Islands Brygge in my opinion. Everything tastes like heaven and there is a great variation in choice. You can buy Barista coffee, or get the beans to make at home, I believe that all of the beans are roasted straight on premises.

Serious coffee in Islands Brygge. Just came here for the first time and the coffee I delicious. If you're in the area it's worth a stop!

What can I say. I have been to 3rd generation coffee places around Copenhagen, London, Manhattan and Williamsburg and and this is among the best. Andreas gets his beans in sacks directly from source and roasts them right in the store. You can buy the beans along with the best cappucino, latte, espresso, chemex, etc you have ever had. You can choose which beans are used for prepared drinks and receive guidance on selection. Visit on days when they are roasting and let your clothes receive a free coffee aroma infusion. The service is always nice and personable with zero attitude and maximum helpfulness. The price is even reasonable for Copenhagen.

Seriously the best coffee we have had in a long time. Coming from Melbourne I think that is saying something. So good, we brought the beans and sent them home. Made this our first stop for the day for the whole time we were in town. On the second day they knew our order and on the third they remembered our order and names - pretty amazing. Would go back here in a flash
